He leaned a little closer, nearly falling off the table he was sitting on.

He nodded, a gentle sliver of a smile as he did, then said, "Yes. You're name is Sonic. Sonic Prower Robotnik." He extended a hand. "My brother."
He took his brother's hand gently, then turned to Miles. "My father..." He shook his hand as well, then held both their hands with his.
Miles sighed. "Well, you both seem to be operational, but I'm going to take a few more tests before I let the rest of the ARK see you."
He turned to Gerald. "You can shut off the camera now. GUN doesn't need to see beyond their creations." He crossed his arms as Gerald shut off the camera and set it aside.
Smiling happily, he walked over and lifted the two boys up. "Awwww, they look so tiny!" He looked up at him. "I feel like a proud papa!"
"That's to be expected, Professor. They are, after all, children." Miles said, chuckling a bit at his reaction. "Did you expect them to be big?" Although he had to agree with him about the fatherly feeling for these two children.
"Not really!" Gerald replied, then set them down on their tables again. "I'll go get the tools for the tests."

Sonic blinked as he watched them turn off the camera.
"Oh, boy! We're gonna have tests!" He felt about ready to jump off the table and wander the ARK. "But...what kinda' test?" He said almost to himself to his brother. 'And, why do we have to be lifted? It's not like we're dolls 'r anythin', right?'

Shade extended his hand as Milees took it and stuck a needle into it, drawing blood, then walking over to some other table to look at it. "It doesn't hurt, Sonic..." Then he mumbled something that sounded like "Much."
Then he picked up another needle and walked towards Sonic. "Alright, Sonic. Just stay still and don't squirm and this won't hurt a bit." He said calmly. Gerald chuckled, but he ignored him and reached for the boy's arm.
((He's prepared for anything. Maybe. Try me.))

Sonic grimaced at what he supposedly mumbled and inched a little back onto the table. "I dunno if I want that stuff..." He said, holding his arms away.

Miles sighed, then walked closer. "C'mon, Sonic. It only hurts if you squirm. Shade was just being a bully."
"Hehe. Well, what're brothers for?" Shade said, grinning.
Miles smiled weakly, then turned back to Sonic. "Come on. Be a good boy and cooperate?"

"B-b-but...fine." He held out his arm, and Miles stuck the needle in. When he pulled it out, they got the reply of a wail. Whimpering, he pulled his arm back. "That was NOT just an exaggeration! That plain HURT!" He nursed the arm that really looked finer that he said. Whether the puncture was as bad as he said, they didn't know.
He slid onto the table a little more, then let only his eyes shift over. Boy, was he a grouch when he got punctured. "So...is that all of the test?"

"Well, there's a test of your speed, but otherwise, that's it." He said, then led them to a machine with a conveyor belt often used in exercising. "Would you like Shade to go first, so you can see that it's safe?"

"Mmmmm...Shade went first the last time, so...I guess I could go first." Sonic said, although his expression said that he wasn't sure he wanted on the conveyor belt. He tried to imagine what it was like on the conveyor belt, but he couldn't get a clue. "Well, unless Shade WANTS to go first!" He said almost run-together.

"Nyaaaaah." Shade said, grinning and crossing one leg over the other. "You go first, bro."
Miles facepalmed. "This one isn't going to hurt. I promise you." He sighed. "It's only gonna gauge your speed. See this screen? It displays how many miles per hour you're going while you run. See?"

It took about ten seconds to make out what that meant, but he just nodded and stepped on the conveyor belt. "So, next I just run on the thing?" He said, pointing to the conveyor belt he was standing on. "Or, do you have to turn it on before I start running?"

He smiled, then reached over and flipped a switch from OFF to ON and then set it from HIGH to LOW. "We'll start at low speed, then turn to medium speed, and finally high. Are you alright with this?"

Sonic started to go on the conveyor belt, watching the guage. He wondered; What guage were they aiming for? Or, were they just planning on making him break the guage? ...Highly unlikely. This running on the conveyor belt was like a walk in the ARK, but this was only Low. How would it be on High? Or better yet, just Medium? "So uh, what are we aiming for here?" He said facing them, but still running on the conveyor belt with no effort. "Why do I see everything so whooshy?"

"We're trying to see your highest speed on all three." Miles mumbled, then flipped the switch. "Hm. On low it's 200mph. Let's see if you can handle medium." He flipped the switch, then watched the gauge again.

He folded his arms back and grinned, his eyes closed. "No brainer! This is talk a walk in the ARK, which I still haven't taken!" He then opened his eyes and looked at the guage.
