Wendy did not even notice as the twins opened the door. It opened inwards so Wendy had no reason to notice. She pressed her body even closer to Farris's. She slid her tongue into Farris's mouth and ran it along his teeth. She let her hand fall to the top of his pants as she started to fiddle with the button, seemingly unaware of the fact that anybody else was there.

((Lol...this is gonna be interesting! wink ))

Gabriel and Greg stood there.. shocked. This was the woman that claimed to be their sister and both of their jaws droped. "EWW!" the said in unison as they both recoiled with disgust. Gabriel was the first to turn away.. he just couldn't believe it.

Gregory soon followed suit and both boys had their backs to the two making shocked and disgusted faces all at once.

Farris stood up and gently pushed Wendy behindhim. He looked out at the crew and barked at them. "'What are you dimwits doing jsut standing there? This tis a ship and a ship needs ta be taken care ov!!" He said. He looked around, shouting. "The Deck need ta be swabed and the sails hoisted. This tan't a show at Tortuga...geta move on!" He backed as the crew scatered. He turned ot the twin and stood in front of them. "Yer two. Get in there!" he barked and push them im. He watched them as he waited for Wendy to get her wits together and follow after him.

Wendy was still quite dazed as she watched Farris comand the crew. All she wanted to do was disappear at that point, but that was not an option. She inched along the wall holding onto it as if she would die if she let go, and entered her room. She closed the door behind her.

She looked up a Farris. "I...can't believe that just happened! I just...I don't know!" She said unable to really speak properly. "I...gah! What was I thinking?! What were you thinking?! Why did you let me do that?! Why did I want to do that?" She said rambling off anything that came to mind.

Wendy backed away from him and tripped over her own feet falling to the ground. How could this happen? This is exactly what had been trying to prevent from happening and what her father had warned her about. Now she was a total mess and not acting at all like herself.

When she hit the floor she scrambled back up to her feet and walked over to her desk. She tried to sit in her chair, not noticing the pen that was in plain site in it. She jumped back up and pushed it off of her chair. She wanted to cry and her eyes were gleaming with tears, but she still had enough sense to keep herself from doing that.

She tried to focus on the twins now and not Farris though it was quite unsucessful. "So...the map. I mean..." She hadn't meant to mention that the thing was a map to them. "Are you going to give me the thing yet?"

((I think it's time for a bit of a...family reunion.))

Wendy looked from her brothers to Farris. She was at a loss for words. She hated that even when she wanted to be mad at him, Farris had to do things like this making it hard for her to be. She hated that he was so...perfect in almost everyway that it was nearly impossible for her not to want him.

She opened her mouth as to say something, but before any words could escape her mouth there was a loud 'BANG!' and the ship rocked violently. She looked a Farris for a moment then jumped out of her seat, partly glad to have a reason to leave the room. She darted out of the room and looked around the deck.

"Captain!" Sam shouted from his post. "We've got trouble!" He was pointing towards the back of the ship where a ship was following them a bit of a distance behind.

Wendy ran up the stairs to the upper part of the deck, pulling her telescope off of her belt as she did. She reached the back of the ship and leaned against the railing as she looke through the telescope. It was her uncle Edward. He must have finally caught up with them at the port. "Damn..." She cursed under her breath. This was however exactly what she needed to pull herself together.

She turned around to the crew as she considered her options. The ship was just out of range of their cannons, though not much judging by how close the last one had come. Chances were they would not be able to outrun them now, it was a little to late for that. If they gained any more distance things could end up bad.

She decided that their best option was to keep some distance so as to avoid boarding ship, she could not risk him getting his hands on the twins. But they would still have to fight. Hopefully they could give them enough damage that they would have to turn around.

"Ready the cannons!" Wendy shouted to the crew, alot of whom were watching the other ship with interest. When she shouted they all scrambled to the canons to prepare them for battle. Wendy walked to the helm and gently began to turn the wheel.

Wendy shook her head. "No, just keep it for now Farris. I'm a bit busy." She said steering the wheel so that the cannons would be in a better position to fire at the other ship.

Wendy closed her spyglass with a snap and looked over to her first mate, Farris. “Uncle’s after it again. When will he learn that we are the better pirates and the map will never fall into his hands??” She asked with a pretend sigh. She spun the wheel, turning the ship so that its cannons faced the oncoming ship.

The ship, the Devil’s Date, was fast approaching. Wendy didn’t want it to get to close, for she had things on board that were worth far more then any treasure she or her Uncle had yet to find. She aligned the ship so that they could continue moving but still be able to fire at the oncoming vessel.

The Ocean’s Tears, first Wendy’s grandfather’s, then her father’s and know hers was a fine old ship. It was an old but fast, its class a windjammer, a trading racer for merchants that her grandfather had commandeered soon before he died. It was strong, reinforced with new wood only a short bit ago, and sleek, cutting through the ocean’s waters better then any other. It was also well cared for, beautiful as any ship, though it had lost its former county’s colors long ago. It was still a beauty for any eye to see. Only once the flag was up could one tell it was a pirate ship.

The Devil’s Date on the other hand, looked its age and acted it as well. It was old, and slower than it’s class, schooner, meant it to be. It had years of barnacles growing on it, outdated cannons and rigging as well as termites and rot in the lower deck. It was a mothers vision of a pirate ship, come to take her little ones away if they were not good. In actuality, it was because Edward, Wendy’s uncle, wasn’t a good pirate at all. He believed that if he got his hands on the map Wendy and her siblings were caring, he would become the greatest pirate of all time (but isn’t that what most pirate stories about anyway?).

Wendy’s crew hurried around below deck as well as on the lower deck. They readied the gunpowder, the cannon balls and the cannons. They filled some bombs with gunpowder and long fuses to shoot over on the cannons. They were a hardy crew and one that had been learning for many a year now.

Seeing that the ship was in range now, she bellowed out to her crew mates. “Load that cannons!!”

Quickly the men hurriedly poured the gunpowder, loaded the cannons with the regular cannon balls and waited for her signal.

Wendy’s orders came above the sound of wind and the waves rushing by. “FIRE AT WILL!!”

Blast after blast was heard as each side fired their cannons and quickly reloaded them. Some of the veteran pirates lit the long fused bombs and loaded them into the cannons as well, quickly firing them off before they exploded in the cannon or the air.

The bombs flew through the air, destroying anything in is path and then landing on deck. Once they landed they set there forgotten, because the other pirates thought thy mere cannons. Then BOOM they exploded, wreaking havoc and tearing holes in the deck.

Meanwhile the Devil’s Date was firing upon the Ocean’s Tears. Its pirates were not as good and could not fire as well, nor were they smart enough to think of putting bombs in the cannons. They just fired on the ship as it came into range, using regular old cannon balls. One just narrowly missed the mast and another when right thought eh wall of the gun deck. A cannonball went into the water and clipped the back edge of the stern post and the hinged rudder, impairing Wendy’s ability to steer.

She was preoccupied with maintaining enough distance from the Devil’s Date to be able to fire on them, but not be close enough so the grappling hooks would be thrown. She did not want her uncle anywhere near those maps.

A cannonball/bomb happened to go into the lower deck as a cannon ball and then explode, ripping a hole in the deck and knocking one of the main support beams over. Edward sighed and looked around. “Cease fire!” he said as he spun the wheel around, pulling out and heading away from the Ocean’s Tears.

Wendy called the same order as she saw her uncle pulling away.

He growled at the pirates near him, furious about yet another defeat. I’ll get the map, one day I will. He thought as he heard the deck groan and collapse. He worked his ship back to port, hoping it could be saved.

Farris picked himself up, having been thrown across the upper deck the last time they had been hit. He smiled over at Wendy. “Well that was interesting.” He said simply and smiled. “There’s an isle near here, though its name escapes me. We could make it there and repair the ship on the morrow.” He said.

Wendy nodded and turned to ship to where she knew the isle to be. “I do believe you’ve had an idea Farris.” She said with a grin as well.
