#490 Manaphy Pokedex Entry: Manaphy (マナフィ, Manafi) made its debut is in the 9th Pokémon Movie, Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea, and is thought to be the Prince of the Sea Pokémon alluded to in the title of the Japanese movie. It was the 6th Pokémon of the fourth generation to be revealed by CoroCoro magazine. It was revealed alongside the silhouettes of three other Pokémon: the first one being Mantyke, then Buizel, and Chatot. Manaphy are blue blob-like Pokémon. They have two long antennae extending from atop their head. At the end of these antennae are round objects that resemble a ball. Manaphy can use their antennae to use Heart Swap and switch people's energy. They also have jewel-like markings on their stomachs, one large red gem and a very small yellow gem. They are said to live in cold waters, and migrate miles away from their homes only to return. Manaphy are highly influenced by their environment; their bodies are eighty percent water. They can learn to speak human language as the Manaphy in Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea was able to say certain words and sentences. When Manaphy are bred with Ditto, they will produce eggs from which a Phione will hatch. Contrary to most Pokémon hatched from eggs, Phione is unable to evolve into Manaphy at any point. Manaphy are obtained by transferring a special Manaphy Egg from Pokémon Ranger to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. It is unable to hatch in that region, so it is given away. Its exclusive move, Heart Swap, is actually a Psychic Type move, where Manaphy is only a Water Type. The move allows any stat changes to Manaphy to be negated, and then applied to the foe Pokemon. #491 Darkrai Pokedex Entry: Darkrai resembles a dark, sinister ghost, such as the Grim Reaper. The top of its body is connected to the lower half by a tiny waist, giving it an hourglass figure. A white substance flows from its head, obscuring much of its facial features. Its club-shaped arms are clawed and look muscular, with parts of them appearing tattered. It possesses the power to lure people into deep sleeps and show them dreams. On nights of the new moon, when it is active, it shows horrible nightmares. Darkrai is the complete opposite of Cresselia, who is known to cure the dark, permanent, nightmares Darkrai causes to humans. In Canalave City, a small boy suffers from an illness with regard to the fact that he thrashes about in nightmares, trying to say Darkrai's name. The only cure for the boy's illness is the Lunar Wing, the wing of Cresselia. Darkrai is found in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl when the player stays the night at the Harbor Inn in Canalave City and is put into a deep nightmare by Darkrai. The player will then end up on Newmoon Island with the man from the Inn and go to find Darkrai. Darkrai, along with Palkia and Dialga is set to appear in Dialga VS Palkia VS Darkrai, the tenth Pokémon movie. A Darkrai knowing Roar of Time and Spacial Rend, Diagla and Palkia's signature moves, will be released in Japan. Its own unique move, Dark Void, causes both opponents to fall asleep. This move works well with Darkrai's ability, Bad Dreams, which takes away HP of sleeping foes. Owned By: No one yet

#492 Shaymin Pokedex Entry: Shaymin (シェイミ, Shaymin Sheimi in original Japanese language versions) is a hedgehog-like legendary Pokémon that premieres in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Its body's fur is pure white and instead of quills, Shaymin has green grass growing on its back along with pink flowers growing on the sides of its head, giving it an even more flower-like appearance. Shaymin resides in the Flower Paradise, a flower-filled field untouched by humans. In order to go unnoticed by intruders or attackers, it utilizes its own form of camouflage; rolling up into a ball resembling a flower in a patch of grass. By doing so, it blends in with the surrounding flowers, going undetected even if the attacker is right beside it. It also has the power to decompose the toxins in the air and turn the land into flower fields in an instant. It even turned the desolate area of Floaroma Town into a fertile field. #493 Arceus Pokedex Entry: Arceus (アルセウス, Aruseusu, Arseus in original Japanese language versions) is one of the legendary Pokémon that premieres in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Arceus is referenced as the "Original One." It is said in a legend from a book called "The Original Story" that Arceus was born from an egg in a vortex of pure chaos. After it was born, it created two beings of time and space from itself, and then three more beings. Those five creatures created matter and spirit, while Arceus went to sleep. This story can also be told from the various plates the player encounters in the story. It is an equine being with a golden wheel around its abdomen. If the wheel was looked from a frontal view, the middle of the wheel is shaped like the letter "A". Arceus makes its first appearance in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl for the Nintendo DS. It possesses the unique ability Multitype, which changes Arceus' type, as well as its appearance, according to the plate it is holding. The plates encompass all of the existing Pokémon types, except Normal type, as Arceus' type when it is not holding a plate is Normal. Arceus's unique signature move, Judgement, works hand in hand with these plates, changing type depending upon the plate held, and inflicting a large amount of damage. Arceus can be obtained through a Nintendo event that provides the player with an item called the Azure Flute. Playing this flute at the top of Mt. Coronet reveals a stairway to the Hall of Origin, where Arceus resides. Owned By: No one yet
