"So he was right...? And this new threat are those people." She waited, but then tacked on before he could speak, "Are we going to go with 'once a member, always a member' and hope he ends up back on our side?" she joked darkly, half-smile spread on her lips.

Domerin bent his head as he smiled and said, "Is that a retorical question?"
Then a sudden thought occered to him. Why he did not think of before?
"Look, I need to see your unfinished stories, right now," he said in a rush.

"I'm not sure I see where you're going, but come on, I guess," she said. Sachi showed him inside to her room and approached the desk. She yanked open a large drawer, revealing a pile of messy papers. "It's quite a stack," she told him, carefully removing them from the nearly too small confines, "and they're not organized very well. Or at all."

He took them - and dropped them. Someone, and Domerin had a shrewd idea of who, had fallen from the ceiling and put a knife up to his throat. The papers had fell from shock.
"Oh ... dear."
A low, rasping voice spoke from behind him, speaking to Sachi. "Put the papers in my bag, or the boy looses his head."
"Well, that's nice," choaked Domerin sarcasticly. "Don't cut off your own in the process."
"Shut it, you."
It struck Domerin how odd it was the way this man was talking. A pronoun after a verb, used in that manner was quite unusual.
"Put the papers in the bag girl," the voice said again.

What else could she do? Sachi, now realy not seeing the signifigance of her work, gently lifted the pile, trying to steady her shaking arms, and threw them in the sack. As she bent over the bag, she whispered to Domerin, "So much for all that work yesterday and those lovely safety speeches." She took a step back and gripped the table, extremely nervous. Maybe this is a bad time to make jokes, she pondered darkly, trying to stay calm and rational.

The man grabbed the bag and lept out the window before Domerin had realised he had been let go.
"Not good," he muttered to himself. "Not good at all ... "

"I'd think not. Do you... know why he wanted my work, though?" Sachi said, trying to calm herself. The danger was over, for now. It was okay.... But only for now, and even that may be a lie.

Domerin felt sick. "I have an idea, and nothing more than that," he said, deciding not to discolse it.

Sachi didn't push it. "You alright?" she asked instead, wondering what she would have to tell the guild members, if anything, about this.

"Well, yea," he said. "I suppose."
He really couldn't think of aything else to say.
((Seriously, I can't.))

"Good." Sachi absentmindedly began to pace slowly. What could she do? Her members, her responsibility, was on the chopping block. Her and her friends' lives were in danger. This was certainly no time for writing.
Or was it? Perhaps there was something in the library she could find that could help them, some old member file, or maybe she could simply try to think like the enemy.
This was next to impossible, however, for the enemy was quite unknown to her. In any case, Sachi knew what to do next.
"Time for breakfast," she sighed, "and for now, I think... we should keep quiet."

Domerin however, was thinking hard.
"What characters were used on that story you just handed to him?" he asked, walking beside her.

"Two females named Amelia and Helena, mostly." Sachi had very nearly given up trying to understand, and instead resolved to answer the questions and eat her pastry and fresh apple at the table they were now seated at.

"And how do they act generally?" Domerin asked, unconcernly eating cheese and bread.

"Depends. Don't we all act differently at different times and situations?" she answered, "But Amelia's a bit reserved, and Helena even more so. Amelia is calmer, finds herself in pdd situations quite a bit, and works hard. Helena is a bit gruff, and likes getting right down to business and to the point with whatever she's doing. That good enough?"
