I don't think we can get away with making another GIB thread, so I think the press conference thing is out. However, I will put together an informative thread here in the guild, lock it, and link the public directly to it, unless there are any objections.
((That should additionally dispel the myth that we are hiding things)).

I agree on both counts. It is good for the general public to have an idea what's going on. In all honestly, I think even some of our own agents are rather clueless.
And lets face it, "public relations" never hurt.
Edit:// Yes. The "hiding things" seems to be a major concern. I like the idea of a locked thread with information linked for public purposes.

The Iron Magus Okay, Agents: Here is what I propose. I think it's obvious that the admin who controll these UFOs did it to make things... Interesting and to see how we would react. So, here's what I'd like to do. I will make a public announcement on the first post of our GCD thread informing the Gaian public what has occured. This is for two reasons: 1. I think it is an interesting development, and I think we should share it with the others. 2. It could help with our "public relations." People who read it and see that the aliens want to EAT us will understand that we are NOT the bad guys here. Whether the UFOs that spoke tonight speak for their entire species, or are merely rogue agents, we should raise our level of alertness. They have openly declared hostilities, and we should act like it. I think this gives us a reason to go from being completely neutral and diplomatic to being much more wary of these aliens. What are your thoughts?
But we MAY want those screenies of the aliens very hostile conversation with our aliens.
BTW, is that conversation in a HOUSE?

I think your decision is sound, sir; however, I think we should also re-emphasize that we are specifically wary of UFOs 06 and 11, due to their hostility-tinged words. It might prevent pro-alien/anti-GIB groups from seizing on our words as a sign of general suspicion.
And a pres-conference might be plausible, or it might be assuming too much; remember that we're an unofficial organization, and it might be a little too presumptuous to hold a press-conference.
The locked-thread idea is good, although there will inevitably be people who claim that it's 'locked' to keep them out of other areas.
What about an all-factions press-conferance, held by a non-affiliated faction/person? All the different groups could present their views in the same thread, and maybe there would be a Q&A session.

The civilized comment from the alien was triggered by me saying this, "I'm surprised you aren't acting more civilized than this 06."

I will do all I can to help. I must be off for right now though. I will report more later.
A better way to handle meetings is a great idea. I think we need organization to our meetings.

We should make a list of know people pretending to be agents that are not... So if they pretend to say something people can see that they are not really agents.

Agent MD The Depressed Optimist Agent MD Cherry Springer seems to have an interesting theory about why there is no sunlight in towns anymore. What is it? He/She has said that the aliens are stealing energy, from us, especially from the sun.
I don't know where he/she got this information, though. @Agent Tim: I agree @Agent MD: I think a better explanation is that they have a ship big enough to block the sun. @Every one: Before I leave i would like it if every one read my messege about contacting the alians through pms using this  suggested by Agent Hunter.
