Rein looked about, he was in a gigantic house sitting next to a fox, it had pure white fur with a jade crest embedded on its neck "Rie?" he said looking at the fox which he had named rie when he was young, and he was sitting in the corner of his room, which he hadn't been in since he was seven when his fox ran away "yes?" said as Rein jumped to see his fox talk "you...you talk?"
"Of course, I am just a dream, I have been trying to contact you for so long, but your bad dreams have always stopped me, I am the reason you can turn into a fox" said Rie, his fox
"a spirit? inside me?" Rein was extremely confused ((yes, the italics are dream))

Amense sighed as she sat down and leaned against the earthen wall, the only real wall in her illusion house. She slowly drifted off into a deep sleep as Knot stayed just inside the low doorway, keeping watch.

"yes I am a dream, a spirit inside you, at least now I am, and the norcus draining your magic, while your still out of light magic, which makes it so you cannot transform either, this is the only time I'm able to contact you" Rein seemed to start understanding now "so what do you want to talk to me about?" asked he "the forest suddenly Rein felt a shock go up his spine "what about it?" he said

Knot crouched low enough so that no light could be seen from inside the earthen cottage that was just big enough for the three of them to fit inside.
Amense had no dreams, just sleep. Sleep unlike any sleep she's had for the past ten years. The haunting nightmares didnt disturb her at all, and as she slept the cottage, the lantern, and Knot became just a little bit more real, a little bit less of an illusion.

"you want to talk about the norcus and the forest? something to protect me? to help me? puzzle me?" he said as the wall he leaned on seemed to get firmer in the dream "I choose none of the above" said Rie, the fox next to him "you need to pay more attention to your surroundings, and I feel my grip to tell you more fading, goodbye" "wait, but..."
Rein jolted awake to find a small lantern light to greet him as Knot, amens's creation gaurding the door, he seemed to absorb the light as his body started giving light off as well, especially through his hair, it did not put the light out, just made another light in the dim room, he couldn't sleep anymore, but he sat there his eyes half closed inspecting the small place, he heard many noses outside he had never before...had never noticed, they all seemed to flow with each other...

Knot seemed to nod his head in greeting. Being Amense's creation, it was almost like he had part of Amense's mind in himself. A strange, holllow-sounding voice sounded through the cottage, it appeared to come from Knot, but his mouth didnt move. "Sleep well. The light is still going."

"what is sleep but another nightmare" he wispered, he felt as if nothing had happened 'wierd' he thought

Knot stared into Rein's face, Knot's red eyes seemed to glow slightly. "Nightmares come often," The voice sounded again, "But good sleep is not to be wasted. Sleep while you can, for soon the light shine no longer." It seemed like Knot was speaking in riddles.

"the light will not shine longer?" said lang, seemed like riddles to him "you mean...the lantern?" he asked "or the norcus will engulf the forest in a blanket of darkness forever?" he was a little confused 'pay attentioin to your surroundings, especially outside and you will find your own light' said a voice in his head

Knot lowered his head to his paws and spoke no more.
The light in the lantern flickered slightly, it was growing dim, but that wasnt what Knot was talking about.

"I guess I better still get sleep" he rubbed his head as he said that under his breath, his head still hurt from the fall and when he got knocked out, his eyes closed slowly as he drifted smoothly off to sleep

Knot blew softly into the fire, creating flickers of new fire to keep it going for awhile longer.

the sun slowly crept up into the sky, there wasn't much light in the small shelter created by Amense, but he awoke, his mind automattically woke him at about sunrise, he felt more regenerated than he had before, and for once, he had no nightmare, he stood up and went to exit the hut/whatever it was called... 'time for breakfast' he thought

Knot stood up and sat by the entrance of the earthen shelter as the sun appeared, gaurding Amense as she slept.

"bye knot" he said in a wisper as he left the small shelter, as to try to not wake Amense, he went and gathered roots for his breakfast, which were healthy and could have any taste he pleased, he also filled a small canteen which he found lying around when he was younger, he sat down and started eating now
