"Up north?" She wasn't really that familiar with the area...had she been there once all ready?
She frowned. "No fighting? You promis? I'll gladly go after her, Sir. But I don't want to fight. I'm not even certain that I could swear if I wanted too..."

"North. Sh'Kaar, Fe'Laar. Those areas respectfully." Ha, respectfully indeed. "But that's right, no fighting. Nothing but negotiations I'm sure and as long as no one offends, I'm sure no fighting will happen. I hear that within Fe'Laar, fighting is not even tolerated. So I expect a rather peaceful mission for you."

"Well then..." she did not have to think about it for long. After all, Teon had done her a great favor!
"Sure I'll go get you're daughter. Sir. I'll do what I can at least. What is her name?"

"Aiden. Her name is Aiden. You might hear someone else with the name or so, but you know how names go. She may also pretend not to remember who I am. She thinks doing that will keep her from coming home. We had a discord some time ago...I'd like to resolve it. But you'll know her, she had amber eyes...if that helps at all."

"To be honest I don't think we ever met. But I'll find her. Don't worry. And I'll keep in mind what you said."
She felt quite good really. She was going to have a chance to repay the old man. She gave him a quick hug. "I'll be back in no time, you'll see!"

A pat to Verdandy's shoulder before she ran off all cheerful like. "We'll see." A creepy smile crawled across his face...oh this was just perfect. He was good, very good. And no, he didn't mind getting Verdandy killed if it happened. Not at all. And if she did...Cattie would be back and he could control her as well. But he'd try this way in getting his Aiden back first. "Teon you old dog, you're a genius."

Richard hated doing this. mostly because he really just didn't like Ko'Naar. he'd grown up here, before finding his faith in Janus. and it had not been a pleasent time. so he walked back into Ko'Naar, neverminding the stares or the comments. He was here to, as Janus had put it, 'beat the grass, to startle the snakes' so that's what he intended to do. he brushed his robes, getting them as clean as he could since some of the kids had taken to throwing food or garbage at him he couldn't be sure which, and pulled out a scroll, and read in a loud, clear voice.
"People of Ko'Naar. I come to you today with a warning, and a demand. My Lord, the God of War, and the Wyrm King, Have released the one called Aiden, Lady of the Pheonix from her prison. However, her release was based on her revelation that someone, with evidence pointing to Ko'Naar in origin, has been tampering with her body in an effort to 'disprove' her Mythological power. While the powers of Fe'Laar do not oppose human attempts to disprove them, assaulting and tampering with one of thier own is a serious offense.'
He stopped a moment, letting that sink in a bit, and of course make sure those that didn't care would wander on off and those with some concern woudl stay to hear the rest.
"The demand is simple. Someone of great alchemical knowledge is behind the tamperings. if this person is brought to light, they alone will suffer the judgement of the Elders of Fe'Laar. If no one is brought forth...Ko'Naar as a whole will suffer for helping this person hide."

Teon was among those who had stayed to listen. Hell it was about his Aiden, perhaps he could get a handle on where she was at the moment. Though he did have to smirk...so even the proclaimed Elders of the Myth world were not happy with his work. Wonderful.
Though he doubted that Aiden had pointed things out. The girl couldn''t remember where Ko''Naar even was or who he himself was. Simple as that, he was safe due to a faulty memory and wonderfully done alchemical programming. Though he did look to the others...no one was pointing fingers, which was good. Even a few more scoffed and walked off. Teon decided to play the inquisitive old man.
"Tell me, messenger of the Myths...how can they believe her word? You Believers and those akin to the so called Myths have been after Ko''Naar for years...why should we suffer for something that may be a petty lie? What evidence is there to support the claim?"

Richard looked at Teon, and smiled only slightly.
"From what I have been told, a dart was found heavily laced with all sorts of chemical inducers. muscle relaxers, memory inhibitors, the works. the glass work on this dart is from Ko'Naar origin. Ko'Naar is also not the only one with alchemists. the alchemist, at my Lord's behest, ran chemical tests on the Lady with her permission. she was found highly intoxicated with the same types of chemicals in the dart."
Then a more serious look.
"However, the word from Aiden herself was not from her human form. she hold dual forms, as one might expect of a Myth of her power. the other is the Phoenix bird itself. this form communicated with the Nymph Larissa, my Lord's present mistress."
Like clockwork. Richard made sure to get a good look at this person, to keep in his memory. of course he'd told all her knew now, and part was lie, most was truth. Janus had guessed someone might further question, and though it might be whom, or a member of the group they were after. fishing for info on how much the Myths knew.
"Other than that, I have not been told. You would have to take it up with my Lord or the Elders."

Teon just laughed and waved a hand dismissively. Then gave a look to his companions to rally them a bit. "They're just looking for another excuse to pin something on Ko'Naar once more. Pathetic creatures, these so called Myths. Nothing more than mutations. Your glass and chemical origins mean nothing. They could of been purchased from here and used by someone who is not one of us. Go back to your crock pot ideas and fantasies. Don't forget to run from the children, I believe they found some rocks." Another rough laugh before Teon walked away, followed by most remaining.

Richard gave a small nod.
"I'm just the messenger. take the words as you will."
And he left Ko'Naar, neverminding the rocks some of the children had indeed found, and went back to the Temple, where he was sure Janus would be wanting a report of how they reacted to the news, and about the look of the one that had further questioned him. Richard for his part was just glad to get out of that wretched place.

Teon tapped his fingers idly on his desk. Indeed, it was a peculiar turn of events. The dragon was watching over Sh'Kaar, and those of Ko'Naar were truly feeling threatened. After all...it was hard to dismiss a large fire breathing dragon as some over grown lizard with indigestion. A look over to half packed bags.
He wasn't stupid...that was for sure. Not stupid at all. He knew the consequences for messing with the myths...and he wasn't about to get caught for that damn Aiden. She had been gone too long...who knew what she knew, or what they told her...how her mind was working when left to it's own devices.
Heaving himself up he finished packing those bags then made his way down to his basement lab, packing more. All things essential to what he would need, chemicals, raw materials, equipment. The dire wolf in the cage was fed another chemical soaked piece of meet, making him docile enough to leash and control. Teon was getting out of Ko'Naar.

Children watched and played outside Teon's home. kick the can, hopscotch, jumprope...but they were also keeping an eye on what other children called the 'howling house'. it was the local creepy place that had stories of monters in teh basement and that Teon was some kind of old demon or mad scientist. So they watched, Janus' innocent spies. they had been told what teon relatively looked like, and thier god wanted to know where he lived and his habits. and they willingly obeyed, never know what danger they might be in. it was a game to them, a kind of hide and seek.

The wizard looked about the settlement, hoping to find the elusive elf who he had brought with him to this time... "Err, sir, have you seen a very attractive man-" Ash was punched in the face by the sir that he had inquired from. "How rude..."
The wizard seached vainly for the elf hoping to find him before he caused too much trouble. "Stupid wizard... I should have know that he had a teleport spell ready... I should go tell myself that and keep a better eye on him..."
"Yes, that is all we need, another loop in this time..." He sighed. "Oh well, I'll just go tell Ash and Rale that he is here now." With that thought in mind, the wizard simply vanished in a blurr of time.

A game that turned badly as soon as Teon unleashed his dire wolf, or to them his really big slightly rabid dog, on them. They scattered like roaches in the light and one got his shirt ripped from the canine's teeth. That was more than enough to shake off the little kid herd and with a whistle the creature came back to Teon, letting himself be leashed.
A nod and he slung his pack over his back, good riddance to Ko'Naar. He already had a place set up out of the way, obscure from anyone's knowledge really. That's where he intended to stay for the time being, setting up shop there and working toward getting his Aiden back...or indirectly manipulating her to still do what he had intended for her. Blasted Myths, had to make everything hard for him, didn't they?
