Ju shot Niccea a cold stare. "I am not stupid. I meant people of lower status that we can afford to lose. I do not trust Crow, but I'm sure that Izuma would permit me to do so, but only if he desires."

"A sound idea," Izuma said, nodding. "I won't force either of you into this, Ju, Crow...but I urge you to consider. I do not wish for any more violence within the nation. If you are ready and willing, then, please, investigate this further."

Niccea shook her head. "I still say that information of this shouldn't leave this room. Don't want rumors. unneeded chaos is very unneeded."

"They should be told something, however. If we do not control them, they will make up their own rumors. We should tell them that it was a common murder, but tweak it so they believe us."

"My point exactly. Leaking out that this was organized and not a random act would startle people and make it even easier for the killer." She looked at Vulcan and away. "Lord Vulcan thought that it the murder could have been tribal, but I see a few problems with this. Crow is in favor of 'down with unity' people with the killer being male. And you, Ms. Ju, are in favor of this being done a non professional female killer. I think that this is organized, because the knives were stolen in advance. If you ask me, there are too many theories and not enough answers..." Ana boldly raised up her hand to silence her sister. "Izuma, can any of your discoveries from you travels aid in any of this?"

"And I have not ruled out the opinions of the others." Ju was becoming very angry with Niccea, hoping that Izuma or Crow would cut in before things got worse. She turned, looking toward Izuma, while her thoughts dwindled to more grimm ideas, but they brought her pleasure.

Ana shrugged her shoulders. She sat down and began to think about how she could be of any assistance. "Is there any place where people who would know such things hang around. A bar of ill repute perhaps? Also another reason that it is recommended to keep things underwraps under while because it is easier to track rumors that way. IF someone knows something they shouldn't that is." SHe started talking mainly to break the tension.

"I agree with Niccea," Vulcan said, "We're jumping to too many conclusions. Honestly, do any of us know exactly what we're getting into or what exactly we're dealing with?" His eyes scanned the group and then fell to Izuma, "M'lord, Ana is right. Is there something you know that might help?"

Crow had been lost in thought for most of the conversation. "Tavern of ill repute..." He mumbled to himself. He looked up at Izuma. "Of course I'd be willing to do it I'm just..thinking." He sat down and satred at the man's body. "Left handed woman..." he got up and walked to the other side. "Tribal bites. He walked back and looked at the body from the feet. "Organized attack." Crow stopped. "This isn't a crime commited by one person." He looked around to make sure that at least someone heard him. "The left handed woman made these marks, here, here, and here." He traced several thin wounds that had obviously been postmortem. "The man added his semblance to the face." He pointed to his marking. "Done with a tick iron blade, probably that of the dagger. By the way," He tossed a small metal object and it landed at Niccea's feet. It was a shining silver dagger, sharperned down to a point that seemed to have to width. "If that's not yours then I believe I found weapon number two." Crow returned to the body. Now examining the marks. "These two people wanted to cover up their tracks, but still wanted to be recognized. So what do they do? They turn it over to the people that are most likely to be blamed if there are bite marks on the body. The cannibals." He shook himself. "How can you eat a body? That's almost worse than what I have to do to survive." Crow shook himself again. "The daggers were stolen before this, and I have a pretty good idea who took them. He tapped the dead man on the shoulder three times. "I recognixe him now. He belongs to a local group of theives; low class, nothing big in the way of making trouble. Chances are they made a deal. The deal goes down, the killers get what they want, and kill the messenger so to speak." He smiled ironically. "The whole tatic in itself seems unreliable until we can find a left handed woman with mousy brown hair, and a tall man with thick curly red hair." He smiled at the upcoming questions floating through people's minds, and answered them by holding up several hairs. he turned to Niccea. "Is there anything special you did to those knifes?"

NIccea raised her eyebrow and muttered "right" every time he said "left." She then removed her copy of the daggers and began to twiddle it between her fingers. "There has been nothing 'special' done to the knives. They were made by me and that is enough. Sharp edged and the right weight and size for throwing or going hand to hand in desperate times. Razor sharp too. Oh, and anything made by me will have my seal on it." On the blade just below the hilt was an emblem of a tree with the letter "M" engraved in it. "Its my master's mark. These daggers were originally for the war, but the war ended before they were distributed." She gave him a rare smile after she finished. She then proceeded to finish is half thought. "And as to your question about how can one human eat another...How can a vampire attack someone and guzzle down their life's blood when they are still alive? Survival." She yanked down the high collar of her cape to reveal identical puncture wounds on her neck. "Not everyone has high moral standards."

((Heh, the bad guys are going back in time and stealing more!))
The Fire Lord nodded at Crow's explaining, Ju's statements, and Niccea's arguments. He waited until everything quieted down, but stalled in mild surprise when Niccea removed her cape collar so bluntly. Of course, he had known about what she was - he just thought of her as the one to be more withdrawn, hardly sharing her secrets with anyone.
He closed his eyes, thinking back to his recent travels. "Well..." he began, beginning to pace toward the window that Niccea had graciously repaired. "I don't think that anything I can offer can be of help, but...hmm. The main thing I know of is that, if this organization is in any way affiliated with the nation to the north, then they might have a sensitivity to light or heat. It would explain the attack being during the night, besides the cover and lack of civilians. The creatures that my spies had come across informed me of their apparant weakness...so I say we should take advantage of that.
"Also, we must be careful from now on. With all that I've heard from everyone, I seriously doubt this just being a random murder for the thrill of it. I feel that the cuts on this person's face somehow showing the Down with the Unity mark is too much of a coincidence to ignore. So, if they know what they're doing, then they won't be taking chances - they'll use what they can, when they can, and where it'll do the most damage. Don't go out at night without being prepared, be wary of fog, and watch your back."
He lowered his head, gazing at the stone wall under the windowsill. He thought of anything he could provide to the civilians without causing utter panic...and nothing was coming.
