Chloe gasped as a sudden sound of struggle ensued. She could hear a couple of suprised shouts, and the clatter of metal. She assumed that was either the gun or that scimitar the silver-haired man had toted earlier. The scrape of metal on the cavern floor hinted that someone had recovered the dropped item, and a heavy silence followed.
Suddenly another voice spoke out, Chloe assumed it to be one of the other two men. It was cold, calculating, albeit a bit frantic.
"I'll give you the key and the map. Just let him go," another pause ensued.
"Daimon, get away!" the same voice suddenly ordered, "This is no time to hesitate!"
There was another pause, as Chloe snuck a bit closer to the voices, curiosity getting the better of her.
She only hoped that curiosity didn't really kill the cat, she mused, Persian ears flicking nervously.

Chloe managed to get to a point where she could see the group, as she ducked behind another scattering of large boulders that lined the side paths of the cavern. A larger cavern met her gaze, this one had a stone floor, with the three men from earlier standing before another door. This one hadn't been opened yet.
The blonde was the one who held a gun, leveled at the silver-haired man, his hand shaking a bit, due to both nervousness and his injuries, Chloe noted, catching a whiff of the tinge of blood, the blonde's sleeve stained red.
The black-haired whom Chloe assumed to be Daimon one was standing to the blonde's left, shaking his head, "There's no way I'm running away alone! If I'm going, then you're coming with me!"
"You idiot!" the blonde retorted, "You'll only get in the way!"
The silver-haired man spoke up, smirking as he pulled a gun from his coat, "You know too much. If you want to get away from me that badly... then its death for you. The choice is yours, Ketorio."

Chloe winced, just what was in this cave that was so important to them? Well, to the silver-haired man, at least. She had ducked behind the boulders again, set on retreating back to the entrance, back out of the cavern, hopefully to just forget about this whole thing.
Mikami, on the other hand, had other plans...
"Traaaaaaaaa-PINCH!" came the war-cry of the small ant-lion, as he charged forward from Chloe's position behind the rocks. Chloe grabbed for the Trapinch, but it was too late, he was charging full out at the silver-haired man.
Chloe gasped, shaking her head, "NO!" she shouted, before clamping her hand over her mouth. However it was too late, the shout rang through the cavern. Having no other choice, Chloe darted from her position, after Mikami, steeling herself for the worst.
After all, she had been in tough situations before, hadn't she?

The whole cavern errupted into chaos, the silver-haired man whirling to meet the charge of the Trapinch, surprised, but not about to be caught off guard, a feral snarl escaping his lips as he fired the gun. Mikami dove underground, charging still, adrenaline focusing him on the silver-haired one as he attacked, knocking the man off his feet, causing the next shot to hit the ceiling, dust and rubble falling to the cavern floor.
The other two men burst into action as well, startled at Chloe's appearance (in more ways than one considering she sported feline ears and a tail currently). They dove for the silver-haired man, who aimed once again, firing wildly as Mikami latched onto his leg, teeth clamping down.
The bullet missed its target, but still sliced through the shoulder of the blonde, who cried out, halting his charge for a moment as Daimon dove for the weapon. Another struggle ensued, as the two grappled for the gun, Ketorio turned to the closed door, rummaging in his pocket frantically, before withdrawing a key. Slipping it into the stone lock, he turned it, a click echoing through the cavern as the stone door slid open.
Daimon managed to wrestle the gun from the silver-haired man, as the two ducked down the corridor. The silver-haired man growled, throwing Mikami off of his leg, before following pursuit, casting a baleful glare at Chloe.
"You're next, girl," he spat.

Perhaps attracted by all the noise, a small Meowth peeked from the rubble, curiosity following much like Chloe's strain had, although it had apparently met with better fortune so far, not having received death threats... Spotting Chloe's Persian ears and tail further intrigued the small feline, as it darted to swat at the nervously twitching tail. A wild has appeared before Chloe! "AH! KAAAAZEEE!" Chloe screeched, startled by the swat at her tail, she threw the Charizard's ball from her belt frantically, as Kaze appeared in the cavern.
"Flare Blitz!" She called without thinking, as Kaze curiously glanced at the small Meowth, wondering why it would call to such drastic measures to beat it.

The Meowth screeched, scurrying about to try to escape the blaze. It was then when Chloe noticed that it wasn't an attack from a human, but a Pokemon.
"AH! I'm sorry!" She cried, shaking her head, "I thought you were someone with a gun!"
"Meeeeowth!" the feline cried, striking hard with a Bite.

Chloe threw a Pokeball, hoping to make it up to the Meowth later on. But for now, she had bigger problems to worry about.

Having no choice but to follow once again, Chloe ran after Mikami.
Only to meet a path that split into two.
"....." Both trainer and Trapinch looked to each other.
"Which way?" Chloe asked, the same instant Mikami inquired, "Traaa?" which could be assumed to mean the same question.
"Great, the last thing we need is to get lost," Chloe muttered. "Well, left or right?"
"Pinch!" Mikami declared closing his eyes, and spinning in a circle. Chloe looked to the Trapinch curiously, as he stopped with his eyes closed, pointing down the corridor to the left.
"So that's your logic in deciding which way to go?"
"Traaa pinch trapinch pinch tra," Mikami stated, saying something along the lines of "You gotta better idea?"
Chloe sighed.

The whisper of voices met their ears, as Chloe sighed. At least it wasn't the silver-haired man up ahead apparently, since the two seemed to be having a conversation, not a shouting match and fight to the death.
Not that she had any reason to be confident in the other two's credibility either, but at least they hadn't pointed the gun at her.

Apparently not, she blanced, as the two ahead of her turned around in suprise.
"Uh... hi?" Chloe greeted weakly.
"Ergh..." Ketorio winced, gripping his shoulder.
"We have to take care of that wound..." Daimon warned, giving the other a worried glance.
"You worry too much..." Ketorio retorted with a smirk. He glared at Chloe in return, "Why are you here?" he demanded.

"Good, keep it that way," Daimon nodded. "Now get out of here, both of you," he motioned to Mikami. "We can handle Beryl..."
"The silver-haired man?"
"Yeah, now get out of here!" Daimon insisted.
All three froze as they heard footsteps coming from behind them.
