andreas watched as he rushed towards the swordsman and the fireball was frozen and shattered. he flung hiswhip to send the peices away and then his sword attack was met with a fist. He stumbled back rubbing his jaw and smiling at katrea then looked up as thegunner jumped onhis back preparing to shove a shard of glass in him. the arrogance,he elbowed him away before he had a chance then looked down to katrea.
"You struck a sound blow my friend."
He grinned at the two laying on the floor and placed his rapier back into its holder after wiping the blood from it into a container with a rag of cloth.
"perhaps it is time for me to take my leave."
andreas stepped back and moved away from the two seeing they were getting to tricky and stepped of into the desert.
"perhaps we will meet again some day. but now i must take my leave"

Ikki fell falt on his back and jumped up quickly. He took his gun and aimed at the jar but he put his gun away instead. He walked over to Katrea and held out his hand to him. "Well, I didnt realize I had Mr. Famous with me. So who did you kill or what did you do to him? He seemed to know you and want to kill you."

katrea could do little as he ran off into the sandy hills and he didn't want to ever.
"Damit forget that crazy aristocrat man. ikki you ok?"
sighing katrea got up and looked around as the storm died down.
he then got up helped by ikki with a hand.
"if we move fast we can get to town before nightfall, but you have to be up for it."
sweat ran down katreas head he was not in great shape but held himself together so they could get to town.

Ikki tilted his head. "I dont think your in any condition to hurry but thats not my decision. So off to..." He looked at his map. "Kookal?"

Andreas walked of holding over the cuts on his arm. well at least he had what he needed, now was the time to reunite. he walked from the windy sand as it died down jumping on his hovercraft and staring back happy with what he had done, then started the engine speeding of. As he drove the craft to the north he checked his supplies once again in his chest and placed the container inside. His journey was nearly over and he wondered what would be the outcome.
Those fighters he faced were strong and his abilities seemed limited if he could not deal with two injured fighters. Perhaps this would be the answer and the story he had been told was true.

Katrea and Ikki started to walk to Kookal through the desert, Katrea body seemed very weak but he could hold out. The desert was not as harsh as it could be so the jenny was not so bad, but still it would take some time.
"So Ikki what brings you to this place any way?"
Katrea had his scarf wrapped around his neck again and his mouth was covered by wrappings, with his red hair in the hot wind and sweat running down his face. It seemed like they had been walking for hours where it had really not been that long at all.

Ikki took a sip of his cantine and put his hands behind his head. He looked into the sky but got bored of it so he slipped his goggles back to the top of his head and looked at Katrea.
"Well many things all in one but mostly im searching."
He offerd the cantine to Katrea after taking a few drinks himself. He noticed that Katrea could use somthing to drink.
"There is somthing I wanted to ask you for awhile, Have you seen a man dressed in a black cloak with sun glasses and chains on his body."
Ikki made some wierd motions to help describe the man.
"He is thin and tall and carrys a giant cross like thing on his back."
Ikki didnt want to say to much about the man, it really wasnt somthing he wanted to drag Katrea into.

"A giant cross, well now never seen anyone like that, what did this man do?"
Katrea assumed he did something wrong that’s why ikki was looking for him and ikki didn’t seem the type to look for a bounty. This man, he sounded like the kind to stand out yet he must be allusive for Ikki to ask a stranger like Katrea.
"Well if he is something to do with you only fate can bring you together."
Katrea took a mouthful of the water it was refreshing and moistened his dry throat. looking out to the distance kookal came in to view over a dune.

Ikki looked at Katrea.
"He...."
Should he tell him? Ikki didnt want to bring anything up just yet.
"Ah forget about it. Lets just say he has something of mine."
Ikki looked up to Kookal just as it was getting dark. Finally they were out of the desert
"Looks like we made it, and just before dark."

Katrea smiled and then his eye when blank as he fell to the floor motionless. Everything became a blur slowly changing to black. His body lay lifeless and out of strength just a few meters from kookal. He had used all of his human stamina and now couldn’t even open his eye, he only hoped that some one could see him and aid. Then he remembered something he had forgot, a name, but no face or voice, just a name.

Ikki heard Katrea hit the ground. "I told you, but did you listen, ah whatever lets find a place to stay." Ikki picked Katrea up over his shoulders and walked into Kookal.

Dark Maki rose from the ground, purely disgusted with traveling through the desert.
"How much more of this is there to deal with?!" She growled looking around. "I don't remember this place being this huge. .... Grrrrrr."
As she continued to look around she sighed as she realized that the only way she can get to the mist continent where her powers are stronger is through the veins flowing beneath the oasis and out to the ocean.
"Think, think, think ..." she said and then hit struck her, a way to survive under the mass body of waters. "A-ha. Instead of traveling inside the vein, travel beneath. There's sure to be a gap between the vein and the hard rock plates it flows along."
Laughing out loud to herself she took several deep breaths before sinking into the ground.
"Let's see how long mother can hold out," she laughed closing her mouth as the sand flowed around her face.

The child turned towards Maki and reached out to her as she struggled to break free.
"Why won't you accept me mother?!" The child cried reaching out to her. "Come home, I'm hungry!"

Fira looked back at the door as the wind made pieces of her hair n** at her face and neck wondering if the others had heard her, but turned back to looking over the camp below the ship. It was familiar, this place, she had been here before, but it was like a faded dream. The phoenix figured she had been here before, but that was before she was reborn last.

Maki woke up, she felt the warm temperatures rising from outside. She looked around and saw Fira.
"Are we there yet Fira?" she asked pushing herself up out of her chair to look outside. "Is this the temple?"

Opening his eyes, Zetsuei slowed down the ships speed and turned on the internal fans to keep the ship from over heating. Pressing another button some of the panels that covered some of the windows went down into the ship.
