Miku blinked and nodded his head slightly. "I guess your right...." he sighed. He looked at Maku. "I'm still not sleepy though..."

Miku laughed, trying to squirm his way out. "Ack!! No!! Stop that!!" he said, trying to swat Maku away.

outside a bright room at a medical base stood two guards, ill at ease with their duty. they only guarded a door, prohibiting anyone or anything to go in or out. within the room, standing in the center with her arms wrapped around her stood rin, at least how she had once been known. she wore a white hospital gown and stood bare foot within the bright white room. her hair was long and raggy, darker than blood and almost as dead as her soul. it fell over her face, hiding wild yet numb eyes as she rocked back and forth while standing.

behind a two-way mirror two doctors watch the woman with mild intrest, sipping coffee and taking scarce notes at her inactivity. she had been repeating the same action for the past twenty-four hours, having been forced to stay awake for eighty-two. over the past 25 years rin had developed new powers to assist her now useless ice powers. when she misted away now she did it in a sort of 'jump' vanishing and reappearing in the blink of an eye, rash and rappid movements that were less than gracefull. this she was allowed to do within her small square room, always jumping as far as the walls, her immage shaking before and after she moved.

rin jumped now to the door, turning around and began to bang on it, wimpers escaping as she pounded harshly, the door already posessing dents from the last time she did this. the guards outside jumped at her sudden beating at the door, by now were steadily growing used to it. rin all at once stopped, leaning her head against the door before dissapearing again. the two behind the window watched carefully, making bets long ago they could predict where she would jump to next. they smiled at the quiet, one predicting she'd go to the far left corner, the other saying she'd go to the wall across from the door.

suddenly rin's face appeared on the window, her wild, blood shot eyes staring into theirs through long matted strands of blood-black hair, a horrid scream escaping from her as she scratched the window with her nails, long since frozen and almost permanently claws of ice. the doctors jumped back, one spilling coffee down him while his cup dropped and shattered on the ground. ''s**t!'' he cursed, attempting to wiping the hot coffee off himself with his bare hands. ''i hate it when she does that!'' he said again, the other doctor laughing while rin twisted her head around slowly, a high, deep throated and riggid growl joining her insane eyes before her body twitched and she jumped again.

''she does it because she knows you hate it...'' the other docter said to his coffee burned comrad. this time rin went and stood in the back corner, the opposite of the one the first doctor predicted. she huddled there, rocking back and forth while her mind shattered, what little was left to break, anyway.

Maku narrowed his eyes with an evil grin. "Well then, shall we kick it up a notch?" He said cracking his knuckles as he began to tickle Miku again. This time moving faster.

Zero turned his head to the boy who had just shouted, "Could you please lower your voice, some of us have sensitive hearing" he said coldly, his ears lowered slightly as his tail swished once.

xin's eyes were partially shut and at the ground when zero spoke. daness perked her ears at the stranger, intregued at his tail and ears, though not much caring for his stern behavior. she growled stiffly at zero, xin bringing a hand down to her head to make her settle. xin looked up at zero. ''sorry...'' he stopped when he got into view of the man, something of shock and suspicion riding his face. ''who are you...?'' xin asked, going over zero's appearance carefully, the look of suspicion still within his searching eyes.

Miku nodded, giving a little yawn. "I promise I'm not, honest." he said, blinking.

"I am Zero" he said, his ears returned to their normal position as he stared at Xin. "Who are you? and why do you want to know?"
