Spike is just hot! with gorgeous blue eyes and bleached blond hair! like everybodys already said the whole trying to get buffy to love him thing is just really cute! and hes cuter without his shirt on

I think James Marsters is hotter when he shaved his head.
I liked Spike when he was bad! but when he started giving Buffy the puppy dog eyes he got on my tits, he's funny when he's bad! 3nodding
Angel is hot when he's funny too.
When it comes down to it Spike and Angel both hurt Buffy (and no one likes a sad slayer) and ended up hurting themselves in the process. The relantionships could never last cause they were vamps and Buffy's the slayer...they live/she dies, they kill/she saves, etc.
Spike is a great character and kept the show moving, and yes he is really (really, really) hot. The accent however is fake no one sounds like that in England, they are more common round here anyways - lots of ohmydays and innits (if anyone says that here I will slap them).
The bad boy thing was nice and so was Faith's bad girl thing (yums).

I like spike because he has a real charecter, hes not just one mood 24/7, like depresed angle, but his mood changes as he gose throgh different things.

I don't think that Spike is unworth at all. In fact, I think that out of all the vampires, Spike represents mankind best.
Sure, he's cruel and sadistic. However, one things sets him apart from all vampires. The fact that he's able to love, even without a soul. Spike loved Drusilla. Drusilla just kept him to satisfy her lust. Angelus was no different. However, Spike's love for Drusilla had him try and sacrifice himself(not killing himself, just going through pain) for her. He was also jealous when Dru paid more attention to Angelus. And, he also had his mother turned because he thought that it would let her live longer and without sickness. Of course, he ended up staking her so she could receive salvation. Why did Spike get a soul? Because he loved Buffy, and wanted to prove it to her.
The murdering spree itself isn't totally his fault. The First had him under control with that song. He was powerless against it. When he found out, he grew frightened of that song, especially when Robin Wood played that song to turn him into a vampire.
As for beating Robin up, that was to be expected. After all, Spike had been beaten up over and over by Robin. Like those Fruit Rollups, or whatever you call them. The pain goes on and on and on. It was kindness in Spike's part that kept him from killing Robin. That's something, isn't it?
Also, his personality is much more original than Angel's. Angel is basically "I've done some wrong, now I must repent for my sins and possibly kill myself". Spike is more like "I love you Buffy", "I am very sarcastic", "I have a bit of Lorne in me" and most importantly, "Bloody Hell!". Which is why I like him. He's much more funnier than Angel.
Besides, that guy's white hair plain rocks!

Yeah. I think it was really ridiculous for him to get the bot. I guess I like him because, even though it started as lust he can really love and all that. I love his poncy personalty to the big bad personality. Maybe people like him 'cause he was really important in the last episode of Buffy.

everyone loves spike becasue he is a bad boy!! and that is just hot. Spike gets what he wants when he wants....well not all the time, but he has this atitude that shows he is man and he will do anything to get what he wants. he is a strong man that has been through everything the world has to throw at him and he knows how to handel life. and he can also be a very romatic guy but people love him mainly casue he is one sexy beast!! if i ever got to meet him my first words to him would be..."Bite me.......please!!!!"

I think the reason people like him is the fact that he has that great 'devil may care' attitude it's the sweet guy behind the anger, it's the hot accent with the bad boy image..... blaugh yummy for a 40 yr old he has a lot going!!!!
It's not like he's the only one though, look at Aragon (can't spell his real name), Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt so on and so forth!!!
Angel only get's hot in season 3/4 of Angel otherwise he's a (to quote Spike) 'a bloody poofter'

ok every1 pretty much said here why spike is AWESOME. i do wanna say that i understand the ppl that dont like spike bcuz he did kill a lot of ppl and then the scoobies pretty much forgave him. plus yeah hes like 40. but spike did a lot of good stuff with the chip and with the soul. btw he CHOSE to get his soul, unlike angel. this shows he wanted to be good. angel got FORCED into becoming good.
another comparison is that angel (and riley) both left buffy cuz they couldnt take the pain of being with a slayer. spike stayed through everything, the rejection, and finally the love from buffy. and lets face it, he is hot and without him pretty much every1 would be dead. starting with dawn and all the way down to tara.

Dr Yuya For the record, I'm not jealous, never have been, never will be. I'm a weird sort of person who thinks animated women are better looking than real ones, so I don't care where real girls shower there affections. I do however, wonder why so many think Spike is so sexy and great. Is it how he looks? Being over 40 and still built is a great feat I'll admit (I belive the actor who plays him is over 40, or at least over 30). But don't forget that he's still OVER 40. I think his ungodly bony face structure may be a giveaway. Is it the personality? Because if slaughtering people was the socially acceptable thing to do, I would have laid waste to Dallas years ago (hate that city). "But he changed" you say? after he got his chip, Dru fed him a guy she just killed, and he ate, after which he chains Buffy and Dru up and starts threatening her to love him. First thing he does when he thinks his chip is deactivated in s6 is find a helpless victim. And of course, there was the attempted rape. After he gets his soul, he only spends a few weeks in the basement, insane over what he's done...not to the people he killed, but the rape thing. Because rape is SO much worse than murder right? When he finally "reforms" completely, he still keeps the jacket of the slayer he killed and beats up her son who ::gasp:: wanted to avenge her. He's a pathetic, worthless, murderous b*****d who deserves a painful and slow death, not sympathy from fangirls who think he's just misunderstood. Dying to save the world SHOULD have killed him, and it should have hurt bad, even if he was doing the right thing. I for one loved seeing Illyria dust him, at least while it lasted, on Angel. Speaking of Angel, now there's the guy who deserves fangirls. Yes he was a very evil b*****d as Angeles, but when he gets his sould back at least he understands he needs to repent and start doing the right thing. I also dislike Spike, I am a fangirl of Angel. I also do not understand the popularity of him. I mean back in season 2, most of the people I knew disliked him with so much venegence. Now a days, he is this hunk that everybody wants and has to have.... Me, I'll just stick with the no. 1 hunk of mine, Angel. XOXOXO -Krissie
