Kitoku Hime UsagiBunny Weee my class is in the computer rom so I can be online for a bit. I got the movie Clerks. It's such an awesome movie too! So awesome and so true. I've worked in a video store, and that's really how stupid the customers are... Hehehe. It has sucha good scrip. I find it to be so realstic and hilarious. Dante Hicks : I thought I told you not to be dealing in front of the store. Jay : I ain't dealin', man, what you talkin' about? Willam Black : Hey, man, you got anything? Jay : Yeah, man, what you wan Indecisive Video Customer : They say so much, but they never tell you if it's any good... are either one of these any good? [Randal ignores her] Randal Graves : What? Indecisive Video Customer : Are either one of these any good? Randal Graves : I don't watch movies. Indecisive Video Customer : Well, have you heard anything about either one of them? Randal Graves : I find it's best to stay out of other people's affairs. Indecisive Video Customer : You mean you've haven't heard anybody say anything about either one of these? Randal Graves : Nope. Indecisive Video Customer : [Turns around, then shows Randal the same movies] Well, what about these two? Randal Graves : Oh, they suck. Indecisive Video Customer : These are the same two movies! You weren't paying any attention! Randal Graves : No, I wasn't. Indecisive Video Customer : I don't think your manager would appreciate... Randal Graves : I don't appreciate your ruse, ma'am. Indecisive Video Customer : I beg your pardon? Randal Graves : Your ruse; your cunning attempt to trick me. Indecisive Video Customer : I was only pointing out that you weren't paying any attention to what I was saying! Randal Graves : And, I hope it feels good. Indecisive Video Customer : You hope WHAT feels good? Randal Graves : I hope it feels so good to be right. There's nothing more exhilarating than pointing out the shortcomings of others, is there? Indecisive Video Customer : Well, this is the last time I rent here! Randal Graves : You'll be missed. Indecisive Video Customer : Screw you! [leaves] Randal Graves : [runs to the door] Hey! You're not allowed to rent here anymore! Jay : Yeah! [Randal is on the phone when a woman and little girl come to the counter] 'Happy-Scrappy' Mom : Excuse me, do you sell videos? Randal Graves : Yeah, what're you looking for? 'Happy-Scrappy' Kid : Happy Scrappy Hero Pup. Randal Graves : Okay, hang on, I'm on the phone with the distribution house now, lemme make sure we got it. What was it called again? 'Happy-Scrappy' Mom : Happy Scrappy Hero Pup. 'Happy-Scrappy' Kid : Happy Scrappy... 'Happy-Scrappy' Mom : She loves it. Randal Graves : Obviously. Yeah, hello, this is RST Video, customer number 4352, I need to place an order. Okay, I need one each of the following tapes: "Whispers in the Wind", "To Each His Own", "Put It Where It Doesn't Belong", "My Pipes Need Cleaning", "All ******** Volume 8", "I Need Your c**k", "a**-Worshipping Rim-Jobbers", "My c**t Needs Shafts", "c** Clean", "c**-Gargling Naked Sluts", "c** Buns III", "Cumming in Socks", "c** On Eileen", "Huge Black Cocks and Pearly White c**", "Girls Who Crave c**k", "Girls Who Crave c**t", "Men Alone II: the KY Connection", "Pink p***y Lips", and, uh, oh yeah, "All Holes Filled with Hard c**k". Someone inform an elusive memory. Are Jim Henson productions owned by Disney? I almost want to say that they are, and I almost want to say that they aren't....

Actually, the Muppets are now Disney, as of two days ago! I got this press release off of a cast member website. It's from Nov. 9. I would link the article, but the site's password protected. Quote: The Walt Disney Company and The Jim Henson Company Sign Agreement for Disney to buy the 'Muppets' and 'Bear in the Big Blue House' Deal includes worldwide distribution and merchandising rights The Walt Disney Company and The Jim Henson Company today announced that they have entered into an agreement under which Disney will acquire the beloved Muppets and Bear in the Big Blue House properties from Henson. The transaction includes all Muppet assets, including the Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo and Animal characters, the Muppet film and television library, and all associated copyrights and trademarks, as well as all the Bear in the Big Blue House characters, television library, copyrights and trademarks. The parties have signed a binding purchase agreement and expect the transaction to close within two months, subject to receiving the necessary regulatory clearances. The transaction does not include the Sesame Street characters, such as Big Bird and Elmo, which are separately owned by Sesame Workshop. The deal also includes nonexclusive production and consulting agreements under which Henson will develop potential new programming featuring the Muppets and Bear in the Big Blue House for Disney. Brian Henson, who with his sister Lisa is co-chair and co-chief executive officer of The Jim Henson Company, said, "This new and very important relationship will enable our two companies to combine our respective talents and resources in ways that will fully realize the tremendous potential of the Muppet and Bear franchises. Michael Eisner's long-standing passion and respect for the Muppets gives me and my family even more confidence in Disney as a partner." Lisa Henson said, "In the months before his death in 1990, my father Jim Henson pursued extensive discussions with The Walt Disney Company based on his strong belief that Disney would be a perfect home for the Muppets. As such, the deal we announced today is the realization of my father's dream, and ensures that the Muppet characters will live, flourish and continue to delight audiences everywhere, forever. My brothers and sisters ⦣8364;” Brian, Cheryl, John, Heather ⦣8364;” and I are so proud to have the Muppets living under the same roof as Walt Disney's own timeless characters. We could not possibly be more pleased." "Since the time I worked with Jim Henson on the first Muppets TV special in the 1960s, it was obvious to me that his characters would make a deep imprint on the hearts of families worldwide, and this announcement is the culmination of a long-time desire to welcome them into The Walt Disney Company," said Michael, Disney chairman and chief executive officer. "Kermit and Miss Piggy are well-known and beloved around the world and will have an opportunity to be seen and loved by millions more well into the future through Disney's distribution channels at home and abroad, including home video, family television programming and consumer products, in addition to the existing theme park presence at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. We are honored that the Henson family has agreed to pass on to us the stewardship of these cherished assets. We are also pleased that this transaction puts us in a position to work with the Henson company on future projects," Michael said. Disney, which owns broadcast and cable networks reaching over 120 million households worldwide, operates or licenses theme parks on three continents, and offers home video and consumer products worldwide, is planning to relaunch the Muppets with new TV specials and series. Disney also expects to expand and enhance the global licensing and home video initiatives based on this new production for the Classic Muppets, the infant/preschool property Muppet Babies, and Bear in the Big Blue House. The Jim Henson Company, which was purchased by the Henson family in July 2003 from the German media company EM.TV, will retain all other assets of the company including Jim Henson's Creature Shop and ownership and rights to all other characters and entertainment properties in The Jim Henson Company's extensive film and television library, including Fraggle Rock, Farscape, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Storyteller, The Hoobs and various other properties. The Jim Henson Company will also actively pursue partnerships and other strategic arrangements to exploit these and other existing and new properties and to build their value over the long term. As always, sorry for long post.

Tim Burton? Johnny Depp? Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Nuh-uh. That seems ssoooooo wrong.
It does seem Clockwork Orange-esque. But it looks like it's going to be...creepy. I don't know if I would like a weirded out, Tim Burtonized version of that.
Even if it is great (and I am willing to give it that chance) I still don't think I can ever compare it to Gene Wilder and the original.

Oh, my. WWatCF....I have such mixed feelings about this. You see....the original....absolutely terrifies me. I almost passed out once watching it. It really, honestly scares me. I'm so scared of Gene Wilder. Now, Tim Burton, whose work I completely adore is doing a remake of it...with Johnny Depp...and that's a wonderful combination, right? Burton and Depp? But Willy Wonka....I almost don't know what to do. I suppose I'll have to see it...and bring a Bible with me into the theater, just in case.
