Perhaps, whatever Saionji had to say, or perhaps, give to her, was not all that important. So, Anshii continued tending to her flowers, pampering each individual petal, stem, and thorn untill they were all aknowlaged and cared for. With a soft, meaningful smile, she stood after she tended the last rose bush, dusting her self off mildly as she walkd towards the door, past Saionji.

" Ja ne, Saionji-sama." she replied with her usual placid smile. Bending over, she picked up her book bag, and grasped it firmly. Chu chu, who was sleeping upon it, fell over and woke up with a start. Blinking, he looked around, and noticed Anshii exiting the garden house, quickly, he shot up to his feet and followed after her. Scrambling up her leg to her shoulder, he gave an irritable "Chu...." towards her, but Anshii paid him no mind.

She was walking to the caferia, for she had grown hungry after taking care of he roses. Again, other's stared and murmered behind her back, to this, she simply turned towards certain individuals and smiled. Upon reaching he counter, she quietly stood beside Miki, and in her usual quiet voice ...." Milkshake o onegaishimasu." she said. (X3 course, taking japanese, I know thats just bloody wrong, but had to say it any way).

The student behind the counter gave her a funny look...who the hell would order a milkshake? and at this hour, and the only thing for lunch!? With a shrug, she disappeared, returning with a midsized glass, decorated with a silver rim and handle. A rose was painted on the side, and had ribbons, blue and red painted on and interwining with each other. "Arigatou gozaimasu." she replied as she took her drink (the glass is suppose to represent the one Kozue and Miki use.) and walked over towards a table. Sitting down, Chu chu dismounted her shoulder and pulled out a straw, a little bit taller than him, but it didnt seem to matter. With out hesitation, he plunked the straw into the milkshake, and began to drink as if he had not eaten in days. Anshii only mildly giggled as she watched him, sharing the drink with him, as she often did ever thing else.

Victoria took her time with her drawings before closing up the book and put everything away. Then she took out a small notebook she always kept with her. Unlike most things found on the school campus, this notebook didn't have the infamous stylized rose emblem. Instead it was of a blue-green color with a blank cover. The black binding made it seem stylish to her, which was the reason she had chosen it.

Her notebook was one of the few things in her possesion that she considered invaluable, as it contained information and written instuctions in it that was for her eyes only. Once you passed the pages of hand written script on chess strategies and class schedules, the rest of the notebook was devoted to her findings.

Ever since she had first came to Ohtori, she had made it her business to be as unobtrusive as possible. And while this kept her out of trouble and most awkward situations, it also had another use. Her time spent with her father had taught her that knowledge and information was power...especially when it concerned those around her. So she had learned early on how to listen and learn. The things of import she overheard, be it about a teacher or perhaps a student that tended to be a bully in class, were recorded diligently. Such information was dangerous, as it made blackmail all too easy. Yet she tended to never even consider that path, using what she learned about those around her to help her understand the great picture as a whole. Once she knew the pieces, she could understand the game. That had always been her philosophy.

And so, when she had become a member of the Order of the Rose, she continued such practices in order to keep update to date on the common knowledge known by her classmates, and to learn their secrets. A very useful thing indeed. It helped her to become aware of unknown agendas, and let her plan accordingly. Not to mention, it become a tomb of the information her chess club brought her.

Here was another useful thing she had gained. The chess club ws composed of some of the best and brightest of the school, from all walks of life. Some were merely average, but even that was valuable. Through subtle probings and listening to their small talk and complaints, she was able to listen in on a network of gossip. Most was irrelevant, but some...some was worth hearing...

Such as that the fencing captain and her assistant were becoming suspicious of the Order's members. This she was able to put together from her own observations and one lad's complaints about the captain's attention being directed at only a handful of the members for some of the practice, and not himself. (Such jealousy was mildly baffling to Tori.)
But from what she had overheard and seen during the practices, their presence as a whole was mostly ignored and/or considered to be unimportant. From there, Victoria was able to make the hypothesis that the Student Concil did not see the Order of the Rose as a threat. And that only made her smile. However, Victoria was having a difficult time gauging the Black Rose duelists as a whole. They were far more secretive, and warranted more observation...

As Miki walked along side Juri to the front of the line he undoubtedly heard whispering from various students in the cafe.

"Oh look! It's Juri and Miki-sempai!"
"Mickey is so cute, isn't he?"
"I hope Juri doesn't see me! I haven't been to practice in two weeks!"
"Shut up! She'll hear you!"

Miki quietly browsed the menu on the cafeteria wall. There was so much to choose from it was hard to decide... maybe a plate of sashimi, similar to what Juri had gotten?

"Milkshake o onegaishimasu."

A milkshake? but who..? Turning he noticed Anshii Himemiya. "Hello again, miss Himemiya" Miki smiled, "A milkshake? Maybe I should oder one too?" a question directed more to himself than Anshii. He hadn't thought anything at first but when Anshii's order arrived, Miki's heart churned. The striking resemblance of the glass brought his memories back to none other than his sister Kozue. Prying his eyes off the glass, he forced them onto the menu while his mind's thoughts wandered. With the beginning of the new term, Miki wondered how Kozue was, how she was busing herself? A slight frown of disappointment came upon his face. I just dont understand her...

Noticing that the girl behind the counter grew impatient, Miki quickly scanned the menu and blurted out the first thing his eyes landed on. "Gyuniku Domburi" and the girl turned and disappeared into the back. She returned shortly and handed him his tray. Miki thanked her and took his tray before turning and walking over to the table Juri was seated at. He slid his own tray over and took his seat across from Juri. Miki picked up his chopsticks and with them, picked up a clump of rice. His thoughts were still occupied, he seemed distracted as he idly poked at his food. With the growing awkwardness he pressed onto a lighter subject. He looked up at Juri who was sitting elegantly across the table "So... with the start of the new semester, I can't help but wonder how Ko-" he coughed to cover his slip up "Utena is doing?" Miki had a bite of his food "I wonder if she needs any help in her courses?" he spoke thoughtfully.

"Chu...Chu....Chu..." Chuchu snored soundly on the table top. His straw was next to him, and his belly was yet again full. Anshii on the other hand, poked at him lightly as she finished what was left of the Milkshake..never really wanting it in the first place, but finishing it out of common curtosy.

With her slender legs crossed infront of her, and her elbows upon the table, she sat by herself, looking down at her resting companion as he ignored her proding.

Giving her brother a casual wave, Nanami walked elegantly away. She strolled through the corridors of the campus leisurely, intending for everyone to see how prettily she holds herself up. Her perfect hair, her perfect complexion and of course, her perfect fashion sense.

"How blue the skies look today." Nanami said to herself softly as she looked up at the sky.

Turning her head sideways, she suddenly caught the figures of two boys, one with pink hair bending over another boy who was sleeping in the shadow.

'Hmmm, isn't that Mikage Souji? The genius who was behind the 'Mikage' seminar? Maybe it would be good for my social status to know him'

Nanami thought as she walked up to Mikage with a winning smile on her lips.

(( Apologies for the delay/lack of posting. End of the semester is coming up and parental units are freaking. ))

Worried, Alexander-Christian let Shiori's arm drop slightly as he stepped in front of her and pivoted to face her. As he did so he noticed someone gesturing in their direction but paid it no mind. People tended to notice him simply because he was different and liked to point him out to others, so he had learned to deal with it.

"Are you alright, Shiori-san?" He asked in a concerned tone, leaning down slightly to put his eyes on the same level as hers.

It was as he asked the question that he remembered seeing a flash of the distinctive orange that he associated with his captain, Arisugawa Juri. Moments later he remembered that Shiori said she had been friends with Juri until they had some sort of falling out or something. Perhaps it had something to do with that.

Juri saw her and pretended as if she didn't recognize her was all that Shiori could think of and she stood rooted the spot as if somebody had struck her. Alexander's touch on her shoulder made her remove her eyes from the previous spot where Juri stood to face him, and she saw that he was bending down so that he could look her in the eyes.

"I...I'm sorry, Dulac-san." She managed to stammer. "I'm quite alright. Let's get going. Dinner won't wait."

She gave a small sigh. Perhaps Juri was still angry over the incident.

'Serves you right, Shiori. Who in the world asked you to take away the only boy Juri ever lliked?' Juri still angry at her would make her tast of apologizing to her slightly tougher. But Shiori is already resigned to the fact.

Excusing herself quietly, Anshii pushed her chair back from the table. Slowly, she rose to her feet, holding the cup carefully in her right hand, and supporting it's bottom with her left, She made her way back to the counter.

"Hey, watch it, dork!!" a student shouted. Before Anshii could stop, and properly bow, another student had bumped into her, purposely one could say. Tipping untill finally slipping from her fingers, the glass mug fell from Anshii's hands, instantly cracking into millions of pieces upon the marble floor of Ohtori's Lunch Cafe.

"I cant believe you!! You're such a clutz!!" the girl behind the counter yelled.

"Way to go four eyes!" a male student shouted.

"Gomen nasai..." Anshii said quietly as she got down on her hands and knees. She slowly began picking up the pieces, carefully as if she were mending a broken heart.

"Yeah, well sorry just doesnt cut it around here! you're going to have to pay for that glass!!"

"Hai...gomen nasai..." She repeated again, in her usual inaudible tone. Cupping her hand, she began placing the bigger shards of glass into it, the jaged edges, slowly piercing her skin, while the smaller ones, shot into her, drawing more pain. Student's snickered, as well as murmered about how clumsy Anshii was. Further more, those who didnt care, simply began walking by her, most bumping her on purpose, making her drop the pieces which forced her to pick them up again.

With a straight face, Anshii remained on her hands and knees, picking up what she could, another ruthless shove, "Oh..." was her only reply as her glasses fell to the ground as well. Blinking a little, she now began to feel across the floor, pitffuly as she searched for them, while indirectly picking up more pieces of glass.

"Chu...Chu....Chu..."Chu Chu remained on the table, unaware that his mistress was being picked on. Though, if he had noticed, why would it matter to him? I guess you could say, she brought this all upon herself.

Juri raised a hand above her mouth as she spoke between chews, "Tenjou?" she asked in question. She shrugged her shoulders lightly and swallowed the remains of her food. "Who knows, weren't you tutoring her in math?" Suddenly there was a loud crash and Juri glanced up to see what all the commotion was. "Is that, Himemiya?" she asked as she peered through the crowed of students to see Anshii crouched down, picking up the shards of glass. 'I didn't even see her walk in... she must have been right behind us.' Juri shook her head and sighed. She idly watched as she leaned forward onto the table, resting her chin on her hand.

When Miki heard the sound of glass shattering, he clicked his stopwatch and quickly spun around to see what had caused it. Noticing Anshii and the swarm of students that were picking on her, Miki got up and excused himself from the table. "Excuse me Juri-san, I'll be right back." He pushed his way through the crowd, "What are you doing!? Don't just stand there making fun of her, help out or leave!" He spoke to the students who surrounded Anshii like a pack of cackling hyenas. Their snickering dulled down into a whisper as the group slowly dispersed back to their seats. Miki crouched down and placed a comforting hand on Anshii's shoulder. He picked up Anshii's glasses, "I'm really sorry about that, let me help you." He smiled and placed them over her eyes. "Here you go." He blushed lightly and started to help gather the broken pieces of scattered glass off the ground. When Miki noticed that Anshii had cut herself and was starting to bleed, his expression shifted to one of deep concern. "Oh, miss Himemiya!" he placed the broken shards down into a small pile on the floor and gently took Anshii's hands into his "Look you're bleeding!" he dug through his pockets and pulled out a white handkerchief. He handed it to her, "Go to the nurses office and don't worry about the mess here, I'll take care of it."

With a forlorn look now, Anshii continued blindly to hurry through her work.. her heart, inwardly was pounding..it all seemed so endless, her broken heart, her un attainable prince...

"What are you doing!? Don't just stand there making fun of her, help out or leave!"

Blinking softly as she heard Miki's voice, she looked up. Her expression melting into her usual placid smile as she looked up, her eyes narrowed as he placed her glasses back upon her face. "Arigatou, Miki-san..." she said sweetly before looking back down again. Every thing seemed alright now, as she still continued to pick up the glass.

"Iie.." She said, slightly pausing as she held the handkerchif to her hand. " Daijoubu desu. It was my fault... I should have paid more attention to where I was going." Her head tilted to the side as she gave Miki another sweet smile. He was a kind fellow, this, she always thought, but on the other hand...

"Ano..How is Kozue-san? Have Miki-san to Kozue-san played the piano much lately?"

"Ano..How is Kozue-san? Have Miki-san to Kozue-san played the piano much lately?"

Miki frowned, "No... Kozue and I dont play the piano together anymore." Not since I destroyed it with my own hands... I was happiest then, and I ruined it... He stood up and walked over to the garbage can, cautiously throwing out the shards he had collected. He crouched back down beside Anshii and carefully took the glass she had gathered from her, throwing that out as well. He dusted his hands off against the side of his pants Unlike my sister, Anshii is such a sweet girl... she really doesn't deserve the way people treat her. He thought as he made his way back. After all the glass had been cleaned up he extended his hand out to her, to help her up. "Anshii, you play piano, dont you? Um... maybe....." Calm down, Miki...just ask her "Himemiya-san, if it's all right with you, would you like to play the piano with me sometime?" He managed to sputter out, his cheeks were faintly flushed.

Anshii smiled and nodded. Of course she knew Kozue and Miki no longer played the piano together, she asked, simply because it was just her nature to stir thoughts and feelings...

Taking Miki's hand with her cleaner and free one, she rose to her feet. Standing infront of him, she gave a light bow, upon standing, she had closed her eyes, smiling as she listened to him.

"Hai." She said in response to his asking if she played the paino. On occasion she did, " I played this morning." she said dully, her smile just as sweet as innocent. "Ano, if Saionji sama is okay with it. I will be okay with it. I do what he tells me, as I am his bride." she said in a cold, but simplistic way.

Not looking down, she pulled the handkerchif from her hand. The blood it collected was now dry, and blackened with age. Looking at it, she folded it neatly, and handed it back to Miki, still smiling. "Arigatou, Miki-san." she held it out for him to take.

Miki smiled and took his neatly folded handkerchief back and placed it in his pocket.

"Ano, if Saionji sama is okay with it. I will be okay with it. I do what he tells me, as I am his bride."

Miki looked slightly stunned at Anshii's comment, "You really have to ask Saionji if you can play the piano? Just because you're his bride?" He said, gently guiding Anshii back toward the table where her sleeping companion Chu Chu lay. That isn't right! Anshii should be able to play the piano if she wants to. "But you like playing the piano, dont you? So if Saionji asked you to stop playing, would you?" Miki knew how jealous and protective Saionji got over Anshii and figured he probably wouldn't allow her to spend time with him playing the piano.

"Hai." she nodded as Miki guided her back to the table. By now, Chu Chu was awake, and in his mousey monkey like voice, he was scolding Anshii for ignoring him, and also leaving with out permission.

"Hai, I enjoy playing the paino. If Saionji wants me to stop, I'll stop." she said dryly as she patted Chu Chu on his head, not really minding his scolding at all.

"If Kozue-san disliked something, would Miki-san stop because it'll make Kozue-san happy?" she asked. There was no logic in any of it, but she asked any way. Chu Chu had since shuffled through her things, spilling penciles, erasers, and papers. Eventually, he pushed out a music folder with Anshii's name crossed out on it, spilling it's contense on the table...just for the sake of a cracker.

Looking down at her things strewn carelessly about the table, she began to pick them up, little by little, she put her penciles back in her bag, her homework and tests, she pilled under the music folder, and the sheet music ontop.

"Chu!!" Chu chu exclaimed as he skuttled out of her bag, holding an orange rose (now HOW did that get in there? <_<; )

"Oh..gomen nasai...I forgot that this was to be given to Juri-san." she said taking the rose from Chu Chu. She still smiled, gently brushing her fingers over the worn petals. " From a close friend of hers. Shiori...?" she turned to Miki with an innocent look. The rose still had it's thorns intact, but was currently wilting. There would be no way in saving it, unless by some miracle.
