"That will no doubt make the princess happy." Nolah said with another smile. "Although I do not know how happy Larion will be about traveling, she'll probably go on about old bones and expect sympathy."

Elendil the Tall
"The journey shall take aproximately three days, I believe. If we don't ride with a hurry, then I believe the number is incresed to 5 or 6. We shall dwell in the elven harbours of Mithlond for a week." The King answered. He raised himself from his chair, adressing the couple;
"The party shall be a masquerade, as you wish, Nolah. I shall send messengers to Mithlond, in order to start preparing a pier for the wedding by the sea before we arrive. You two should go rest now. Tomorrow will be a long day."

Loswen smiles as the King makes his announcement. It would be nice to attend the wedding, and the dance afterward. Getting out of the city, to watch the trees and the rivers. Being able to see the sea again.
The half-elf smiles, yes, it was like going home.

Nolah Pennbeleth
Nolah and Morthol stood at the King's announcement, Nolah thanking him with a small curtsey. Presently she turned to Morthol, the smile still on her face. "I must retire for teh evening, good night my love." She got on tip-toe and a gentle kiss was shared before Nolah reluctantly untangled her hand from that of Morthol and then left as quietly as possible.

Nolah had barely shut the door behind her before Larion was complaining good-naturedly about all of the packing she'd been doing during her absence.
"We'll be on the road for at least three days Larion, I hope that you've packed for yourself as well."
"Of course I have...my lady. I assume the men will be staying to mind the place while we're gone?"
"Indeed...have you perchance packed my robe, the silk I wear to sleep during the summer, the one you name undecent?" Larion's eyebrow quirked dangerously at the question and the girlish grin curving Nolah's lips were not making the woman any happier.
"I have not." She replied.
" Well then please, would you pack it straight away, and make sure that it is packed carefully. I want nothing to happen to it."
"Why, my dear would you need such a garment for the oncoming weather?"
"Also, you are one of the most gifted seamstresses I know of. I have a request for you, it shan't take more than a few days, perchance...have you still the fabric that we bought at home...just before the ship sailed?" Wary, Larion nodded.
"Aye, the white and the silver silk, embroidered...white trim..." She answered. " We never got to finishing that dress. It's still packed away."
"That is good, then I will need a dress, such a dress that befits a princess, though of course, not too showy and pompous. You know my preferences." She smiled again. "I will need it when we are in Mithlond."
"Once again, I must ask, why would you be in need of such garments? Are not the dresses you own fit enough for that place?"
"I need them Larion because we go to my wedding! I would wish to have a new dress for the ceremony." And without another word she ran for her bedchamber, hair and skirts flowing behind her. The door was shut just before Larion reached it. It would not open.
"Nolah!" The old women knocked forcefully on the door. "You cannot leave something like that with me and simply escape!"
From within her chamber Nolah made no answer. All would be explained on the journey ahead, and at the moment she wanted to cherise what had happened. As she changed into her sleeping gown she noticed her warm cloak and warmed clothes lying ready for the morn.
The whole experience must have exhausted her more than she had thought because the minute her head hit the pillow she was asleep.

Nolah Pennbeleth Larion
Where was that pounding coming from? Nolah rolled onto her back and stared up at the canopy above her bed for a moment, blinking back the sleep in her eyes. "Nolah! You must wake!" It was Larion, but why hadn't she simply come in...oh yes. The door was locked.
"I'm coming!" Nolah shouted in a hoarse voice. She scrambled out from under her blankets and quickly put on the slippers by her bed, a moment later she had donned one of her warmer robes and then ran to unlock the door. Larion stood on the other side, face flushed. "What is it?"
"I've been calling to you for an hour's time my dear and you hadn't answered. I was going to have Bejo take the hinges off. You've not forgotten that today is the day of our departure?"
"I'm sorry, I must have been more exhausted than I had counted."
"Yes, Yes, There have been no summon's from the King to dine this morning so incase he does not need you just yet I've had Bejo fetch something from the kitchens and I've sent word to Lady Loswen that she can come and breakfast here if she wants."
"Thank you. Oh Larion, what would I do without you?" She embraced the old woman and pressed a kiss to her forehead.
"Now will you tell me what this wedding business is?" Larion stood in the doorway, hands on her hips.
"I'll explain it in good time but right now I would like to eat for I am particularly famished. Has Loswen sent a reply back?"
"Not yet, but I suggest you eat quickly so that you can go down and inspect everything we've done, your bags and the things we packed. They'll be put in the wagon soon enough."
"Alright." She followed her out a rather sunlit nook in the fireplace room. Against the wall hunt the makings of a white dress. For a moment Nolah stood and stared in wonder at it and then turned to her companion. "Larion-"
"I found the fabric as soon as you fallen asleep and realized that I had begun a dress for it so the work is half done for me. It will be done by the time we reach Mithlond. I'll pack it with care and work on it by firelight if need be."
"Once again, my dear, dear Larion, I would be lost without you." Another embrace was given and then Nolah sat down obediantly at the table to eat.

Arnor :: Loswen's Room Late October
Lowsen yawns a bit. Her fellow healers had pushed her out to sleep before she departed. She lives alone, so it's a quiet morning for her. She eats, packs her saddle bag, and walks towards the stable. Other women are wearing traveling dresses, or something a little more elegant. Forever the daughter of an Osgiliath Ranger, Loswen's worn tunic and pants off set everyone.

Nolah Pennbeleth Larion
Nolah had dressed hastily after she'd eaten and was now tying up the top of her riding cape. It was fur-trimmed around the hood and along the edges. It had been her mother's and she felt an attachment to it. Her hair had been plaited and wound atop her head so that it wouldn't be blown about in the wind. She was nearly ready, she just needed to don her boots. "Larion!" She called from the mirror. "Are you dressed yet!"
" I was dressed to go before you rose My Lady!" Was the impatient shout from the hall. "I've had your dress packed with my things so I'll be able to work on it at night."
"Wonderful." Satisfied she went back out into the livingroom to find the woman waiting by the door, Nolah's boots in hand. With a nod of gratitude she sank down into the nearest chair, laced up the boots and then called for the rest of her staff to say good-bye.
After everything was seen to she and Larion were finally on their way down to the courtyard where the horses and baggage carriers had been assembling all morning.

Arnor :: Courtyard 3025 23 October
Nolah Pennbeleth Larion
Nolah paused at the chaos about her. Without the King present the squires, stable hands and escorts were rushing about, checking the bindings on the baggage carriers and the wagons, making sure the reigns were secure and seeing that everything was indeed in order. She was nearly shoved by a passing squire but the boy paused long enough to make a blushing apology and then dash off again towards the far corner of the yard. Her eyes darted about for any sight of Menegil. She knew not whether he was at the moment with the King or going over the King's packings one last time. It was useless. She wouldn't have been able to tell one man from the other if it weren't for the dark beards and armour some sported.
"Well this is a mess." Larion said crossly, though it did not reach her eyes. Nolah hushed her and smiled.
"So which of these has my things in amongst it?"
" 'Tis near the middle my lady although your dress is packed carefully. I'm not able to ride at my age for a long time as you know so I was kindly offered a cushioned and covered spot with the baggage."
" Are you well with that?"
"I'm happier than I would be were I on a horse dear."
"That is good then. I wonder where Loswen has gotten to. Perhaps she is in the stables? I do not see my father's horse...he must not be out yet. We should visit him. Bejo gave me some carrots to give him."
"I'd rather stay out here if you don't mind, The stench of the horses is not one I like."
"The royal stables hardly smell, but if you'd rather stand here then so be it. I go to find company." Larion scowled, arms crossed against her chest but Nolah smiled sweetly at her, ignoring the anger and then quickly wove her way through the crowd, sticking close to the stone walls.

Nolah Pennbeleth
Nolah had been to the stables several times since she'd settled in. She'd never come from this route however but once and after a moment she felt quite alone as she turned another corner. Though she was quite sure she was moving in the right direction fewer people were passing her.
" Ah, My Lady. Why do you wander?" An unfamiliar voice spoke up and starting just a little Nolah looked over her shoulder and caught sight of a man unfamiliar to her. Though he wore clothes that did not show peastantry he could not be a nobleman either.
"I do not wander Sir, I am making my way to the royal stables." She said with the proper amount of politeness though she was careful to show her rank.
"Ah, then you leave with the rest of the party."
" I do." She answered and then gave a polite bow of the head before beginning her walk again. Footfalls sounded behind her and soon the stranger was matching her stride and smiling. Brown hair fell into pale eyes. Feeling awkward she tried pleasant conversation. "I've never seen you before, are you in the employ of the King?"
" I noticed you in the courtyard with your gentlewoman and was curious as to your name." He inquired, ignoring her question.
" I am a noblewoman of Numenor in the King's care." She felt nervous as their path brought them on an upwards slant.
" That is well My Lady but you did not tell me your name." A hand encirled her arm and brought her steps to a pause. Eyes widened more with incredulity than fear she turned to face him.
"Do you dare to touch me?" She said with an edge. "Unhand me."
" Tell me your name then, Lady."
"I will tell you what I please, and what I will is that you release me and be on your way before I call for protection!" Slowly the fear began to creep in as his grip tightened. Her eyes nearly flickered to the jeweled dagger tucked in her cloak. Larion had insisted she bring it on the ride. It was more a decorative thing than a weapon but if need be...
" You did not strike me as a haughty girl when I first saw you." Nolah attempted to look as threatening as possible as she twisted to free her arm. Fingers dug into the tender flesh.

Loswen saw Nolah from her horse, and payed no mind until she saw the young lady try to get away from the man with her. Moving with the speed, and silence, of her elfin kin, Loswen was soon beside the man, one hand on his shoulder, her other hand on the hilt of the sword on her belt.
Didn't you know, it's impolite to address a noble lady as such, and to hand her without permission.
With a tight grip, she looks at him with her forest colored eyes.
And it is not wise to upset one. They tend to have more friends than you can see, especially amoung the Noldorin and the Eldar

Nolah felt a surge of relief when she heard Loswen's voice. Smiling gratefully she made to pull her arm from the man's grasp but still he would not let go. "Did you not hear her? Take your hand off of me before we rend it from your arm." She looked up at Loswen confidently and jerked her arm as hard as she could. For a moment the man seemed to lose his balance but he quickly regained it. Angrily Nolah struck out at his chest-still unable to reach for her dagger.

Elendil the Tall Morthol
"Stand back, Loswen." A very angry voice spoke from behind. Morthol drew his sword, and with a fast and accurate attack, the hand that held Nolah was severed. Blood spouted everywhere, staining slightly Nolah's current clothing, as the man fell, and grabbed his arm, screeching in pain.
"And feel lucky, for it might have been your head!" Morthol swang his sword threatingly. As the ruffian lifted himself, with his other hand, he drew a knife, and as swift as a serpent, he leapt towards Morthol. But suddenly, a voice sounded, as strong as thunder, and so grave that time itself stopped that moment. It was Elendil, mounting his horse, along with the greatest knights of his House.
"STAY YOUR HAND, CUR!" The ruffian stayed, dropping his knife in awe.
"Take this lowly coward to the dungeons! And let him rot there until he meets death!" The voice of the King sounded again. Rushing forward, filled with worry, as two of the knights escorted the prisoner to the dungeons, Morthol went to Nolah.
"Are you well? Did that man hurt you?"

Loswen Starlight
Loswen lets out a long sigh, giving Nolah a chance to answer. The half-elf sheeths her sword under her cloak. Drawing it was her worst mistake. As a healer, using arms was more of a hobby. Loswen can hold her own with a bow or any kind, but a sword, she hadn't drawn one since she left Belfalas 20 years ago.
She smiles slightly, shaking her head in silence. She brushes her vest, seeing red flecks on it. She shruggs, it was a dark brown, and no one would notice. She could change on the trip. She turns and bows at Elendil.
"Timing was perfect for you both," she says, "Dunedain seem to have a nack for that."
