anybody heard of Reiki before?

I have, but only a little. It's the manipulation of energy or somewhat, right?

yea! manipulation of energy towards oneself or another to heal, physically and pyschologically.

Neo Princess, if your grandma is interested, she can go see a Reiki master so she could heal faster.

I recently got interested in it and am beginning my practice in this skill whee

Ah, well, in that case I do it all the time. I heal headaches and muscle pain...tooth aches..., and I use it when I give massages to help loosen the muscles and relax the person. I am also learning how to pour that sort of healing energy into items, to give to a person...and on a way to prevent migraines from reappearing... ^^ Though, I'm doing the studying on my own without any books or anyone to guide me... sweatdrop

thats a great idea chels chels!! (pouring healing energy into an item!) my friend in my AP Biology says that Reiki is sort of like bio feedback where you can control partially what goes on in your body. She and another girl, ironically the two smartest girls in the class, get sick easily; one of them has a deficiency in their immune system and the other one in their blood (forgot what it was). I'm going to introduce them Reiki, it might help them.

Reiki is not necesarilly associated with witchcraft, its more a "new age oriental" type thing which has proven to become very popular. It would enter in the class of "yoga" more than "magic". I have had it done on myself by a friend who studies it professionally a couple of times, and its trully useful. Not only for healing, if not for cleansing the soul and all of that. At least here in Argentina, a lot of different type of persons use to try reiki as it's not seen as the same way as.. for example going to a healer witch or something like it.

In fact, when my sister had the tumor surgery, a friend of my mom who did reiki assited her with reiki sessions in her recovery 3nodding

You can tell your grams, if she doesnt wants to, she doestn wants to. Simple as that ^^

Like Yue has just said, the sites and book that I have gotten on Reiki has no correlation to witchcraft, so your grandma does not have to worry. Reiki energy can also be directed through massages, too and other forms.

I found a free Harry Potter Countdown for your desktop! It counts down until the new book is released and has a fact every day and connects to the book publisher web site and there is even a cool free screen saver there too. The link to the countdown is here: http://www.scholastic.com/harrypotter/funstuff/countdown/index.htm

Silvermist: eek You poor thing! I would complain to the owner and let them know thier dog should NOT be allowed to run free in the neighborhood! A strange rabbit hopped into my mom's yard a while back, and it attacked her when she got close! It was a mean bunny! They have sharp teeth and my mom had to call the animal patrol to come and get it..it just hung around and would attack anyone who went near it! eek We had an attack bunny! blaugh We still don't know where it came from or whose bunny it was..poor thing was probably abused or something.

The owner of the dog was right there. She didnt even say sorry! We didnt get her last name, but since we know people who know them (long story*) we plan on getting their name and calling the cops about it. I'm just happy the dog went after me and not some small child. Because the dog was biting, too. If it had been a little kid, he would have pinned the child and chewed on them.

*they have a handicapped daughter and we know almost every family in the area with handicapped kids

The dog can be put down for that, well, in my country or state anyway (not sure if it is a county or state law). I remember this man who had a dog that was so sweet, it had to be put down, because unfortunaly it had lock a little girl over, but she was unharmed; no bruises or bites, not even a scratch. The parents of the child complain and the dog was put down.

But I agree about calling the cops on them. I encounter something similar, except the owner was around and since I know who the dog below to, I try coaxing it back home. It took a detour to a tip over trash can with fish bones and other stuff which it can choke on. I try to distract it so it would go home and it attack me!! Good thing it miss my hip and bit down on my backpack instead (it was a big dog). I ran away and it went back to the trash can. I was so freaky mad, thinking, I hope that dog chokes on something from the trash can.

Are you serious? Usually bunny will just run away once you get too close to it.
