Seto put his hand on Jou's fist and moved it away from his face. He shook his head, then looked at Yami. "Who said I bought my way into the Academy, Yami? I got in just like everyone else did." Seto started, getting a bit defensive about the statement the shorter spoke.
"And Katsuya, if you value your integrity I believe it is in your best interest to keep your paws away from my face." Well, it was too good to be true. Seto lasted about oh, 5 minutes or so without making a dog remark. He was certain that their time at the academy would be well spent.
(That's fine Ohkami-san. Computers are evil.)

Well, apparently that joke had struck a cord. He really hadn't meant to hurt Seto's feelings. "I'm sorry, Kaiba. I didn't mean it like that..."
Then Jounouchi's previous comment sunk in. Although the blonde had never actually seen Yami duel, Jounouchi seemed to have a lot of confidence in his abilities. And...Yams? I've certainly never been called that before..."I'm not so sure, Jounouchi. I'd say that duel could go either way. But Kaiba better be ready to give it his all, if he plans to stand a chance." He didn't mean to sound cocky, but he took his dueling very seriously. His and Kaiba's skills seemed to be nearly evenly matched, judging by their placement. Both of them would need to give their very best in a duel.

((Hehe, I got a little behind and had to do some catching up on the reading! Sorry!))
Anzu had admired herself in the mirror earlier wearing her Osiris Red uniform. She was disappointed that she hadn't ranked higher, but that would mean that she could work hard and be promoted during her stay at Duelist Academia. Besides she looked good in red.
Brushing a few strands out of her face, she made sure that her pack containing her deck was securely fastened to her belt before she went for a walk outside. Anzu needed some fresh air and she also wanted to mingle with the other students. Perhaps she could even make a few more friends.

Seto nodded, and looked down at the shorter duelist. "It's alright, Yami. Trust me, you didn't phase me one bit." Kaiba Seto, master of denial. Maybe that joke about buying his way into the academy did hurt a teensy bit. But he was also good at pushing his feelings way back and come off like he wasn't bothered at all.
"I'll be more than ready to give it my all. I always do." Seto added, keeping his gaze on Yami. He would make a point of it, but part of him still did see a potential for friendship.

Ryou examined the new students while standing idily at the door. It seemed that already groups were forming within the ranks of the class. He saw the confident student that he noticed at the examination and noted that he wore an Obelisk Blue jacket.
Just as I expected, he thought.
Looking further down, he saw Sho in an Osiris Red jacket sitting alone. Also what he expected.

Yami smiled, his duel with Kaiba was definitely one he looked forward too. "That's good to know, I'll expect no less then."
He noticed a boy with dark blue hair cast a glance in his direction from the doorway. He was in Obelisk blue, but his uniform was slightly different; mostly white with blue hemming. "Look at his uniform, do you think he's a third year?" he asked, pointing the others' gazes in the boy's direction, "He looks pretty good." Another smirk crept its way onto his face at the thought of dueling another strong opponent.

"I agree." Seto replied. He noticed Ryou as well, and the different color of his uniform. It was intriguing, but if he was so highly ranked then he would prove to be a worthy opponent as well. He probably is a third year judging from the uniform."

Jou sighed as he looekd at the pair, blinking. "You two really do seem to have a problem with power. You two seem a bit alike, I mean's your in the same house and now your thinking about who to beat. Dat's kinda funny." He laughed as he waved his hand in the air.
Maybe it's a good thing I'm not in the same house as those two afterall
"Just promise me dat when you and Yam's finally get down to dueling each other, I'm dere, I'm not missing this..and what do you mean by paws! Huh huh! Ah forget it.."
He frowned and looked around. "But I guess I'll have to find someone in my standards to duel." He put his hand on his chin and began to think and mumble. "Hmm well Otogi is in a higher house but no ways, hey wait i'm Jou I can beat anybody.. HAHAHA! Yeah dat's the ticket, I'm Jou the wonderdog. Stratch the wonderdog remark folks." And he went off in his own little world.

"I think the whole school would be there, Katsuya. I doubt they would want to miss that. But for once, I promise you." Seto grinned, snapping back to reality. But aside from the duel with Yami, he figured that somehow someway... maybe he could try to duel against that third year student that he and the others were noticing. He shook his head lightly, sapphire eyes scanning the room.

Otogi sighed, watching the comments and backlashes like a game of tennis. And like tennis, it was started to get very dull and samey.
"Hey...guys? Can we talk about something else? Besides 'Oh I'm going to beat you because I'm so much better than you muhuhuh'. He tapped his foot impatiently. "Some people..."
((Hey, sorry for not posting for a while! Anywhoosle, is this gonna move along anytime soon? There's only so much you can say at one point. @_@ ))

((Yeah, we can move on now, and get past the orientation so that we all move on to our own seperate dorms and start adjusting. But after that, we sort of have to wing it in terms of plot. sweatdrop I think there are too many characters for the seven assasins plotline to really work well...))

Out of the corner of his eye he saw someone approaching the arena, and he turned his gaze in that direction. The man who had taken center stage was rather portly, with a shaved head. But the smile on his face, and in his eyes, suggested to Yami that he was a very friendly person. The jacket he wore was maroon. he must be the headmaster. The brought a microphone up to his face and cleared his throat, creating a screeching feedback that instantly silenced all the chattering students and tourned their attention in his direction. Most likely exactly the affect he'd been looking for.
"Welcome, first years, to duel academia. I am Sameshima-sensei, and I am your new headmaster. You've all shown acceptional dueling skill, both on the arena and in the classroom, and I congratulate you on making it in to our prestigious academy. As I'm sure you've all discovered by now, you've been grouped into three different colors based on your test results. These colors determine not just your test scores, however, but also the difficulty of your monthly exams and where you will be leaving during your stay at the academy. Obelisk Blues can find their dorm northeast of the academy; heading towards the island's volcanoe(But don't worry kids, it's dormant!). Ra yellows, your dorm is just south of here right in front of the port. Finally, the osiris red dorm is located west of here, down by the beach...
"At seven O'clock this evening each of the dorms will be holding a welcome banquet for its students. You will be served dinner, and given a chance to introduce yourselves to your new dormmates and head teachers. Everyone will be expected to attend these banquets on time. However, you have a few hours between now and then to find your room and get aquainted with the school's campus. You should have recieved a Duel Academia PDA when you got your uniform; and that PDA will be sent an email with your room assignment. Your luggage has already been delivered to your room, along with a brand new duel disk like the ones you may have seen the proctors using at the entrance exams!" The whole crowd let out a cheer at the news of recieving a new duel disk, "Once again, I congratulate you on making it in to duel academia. I hope you enjoy your stay here!"
((Sorry if that sounded wicked Dumbledore speech-ish, I tried as hard as I could not to make it that x_X. And that brings me on to the subject of teachers, I was thinking that we could make them all "NPCs" of a sort. In otherwords, no one in particular controls them, and use can just use them in your posts whenever you feel you need them to be there. That tends to be easiest...
And also dorm room arrangements. Other than the Yuugiou GX characters, no one has been assigned a particular room yet. We can work out who is with who in any way that you'd like. Except, of course, that they have to be in the same dorm.))

Seto was rather bored by the long lecture, but he was glad that it was over. He just grinned and looked around him. He would be certain to make it on time to the welcome banquet, since being a CEO allowed him to follow schedules regularly and be on time to appointments. "Now to get settled and find out who else is in our dorms. And find out who we'll be rooming with."

"Blah Blah Blah!" Bakura sighed watching the headmaster without interest. "Why would I want to meet my dormmates, they're all a waste of my time anyway." He murmured to himself. 'Bet Yami and Kaiba are getting kicks out of each other like they were doing earlier.' The thought of the two dueling did sound interesting and Bakura made a mental note to come and watch the festivities. '7:00, this evening, what am I to do 'till then? I was already bored before this news. I wonder if we can duel yet? aw man dueling doesn't sound interesting to me either. Ugh what's happening to me?' Bakura didn't continue to pay attention to anything else and fell into the depths of his mind.

Yami removed the PDA he had recieved from his pocket, and discovered that he did in fact have an email. Opening it up, he found that he would be staying in room 207. I wonder if I'll be with anyone I know. He looked up at Kaiba and Otogi, "Hey, you guys want to head up to the dorm together?"

Ryou watched as Sameshima-sensei gave the routine speech detailing the comings and goings of Duel Acadamia.
As the students started piling out of the room, Ryou was already walking towards Obelisk Dorm. He didn't want to get dragged down with freshmen asking him where everything was.
