Cocopuffs because if you forget about them and they get all soggy they'll still at least taste sort of cocoa-flavored whereas soggy fruitloops tastes like... well, I don't know because it offends my tonge so much it stop communicating with me in anything but the equivalent of garbled screams.

Lack of inspiration vs desire to do something.

Desire to do something, because doing anything might cause you to accidentally get inspired.

My creepy-phonecall stalker versus Desi's "I've got a wicked-huge crush on you" stalker.

Superman. By a landslide.

The Sentry has the power of A Million Exploding Suns.

And what gives Superman his power?

The Sun.

And what is The Sun?

The sun is a mass of incandescent gas
A gigantic nuclear furnace
Where hydrogen is built into helium
At a temperature of millions of degrees

Yo ho, its hot, the sun is not
A place where we could live
But here on earth thered be no life
Without the light it gives

We need its light
We need its heat
We need its energy
Without the sun, without a doubt
Thered be no you and me

The sun is a mass of incandescent gas
A gigantic nuclear furnace
Where hydrogen is built into helium
At a temperature of millions of degrees

The sun is hot

It is so hot that everything on it is a gas: iron, copper, aluminum, and many others.

The sun is large

If the sun were hollow, a million earths could fit inside. and yet, the sun is only a middle-sized star.

The sun is far away

About 93 million miles away, and thats why it looks so small.

And even when its out of sight
The sun shines night and day

The sun gives heat
The sun gives light
The sunlight that we see
The sunlight comes from our own suns
Atomic energy

Scientists have found that the sun is a huge atom-smashing machine. the heat and light of the sun come from the nuclear reactions of hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, and helium.

The sun is a mass of incandescent gas
A gigantic nuclear furnace
Where hydrogen is built into helium
At a temperature of millions of degrees

...

So, yeah.

I'm pretty sure the Sentry would only make Superman stronger.
ninja

P.S. - I need to talk about having the power of a million exploding suns more often.

Well, to keep things going:

A million exploding suns vs a million imploding suns.
Conditions: They are doing this at whatever distance would make the lightshow most entertaining to watch.
Note: imploding doesn't neccesarily win since the explosions might scatter everything so much that it doesn't come back together.

That fight is putting this piddly neutron star...

Exploding star wins.

Uranus versus Neptune. GO!

Uranus is the sky, Neptune is only the god of the sea, winner: the whole sky.

Elongated man, because the FF suck a**. Although plasticman would win over both of them.

The carnage symbiot v. Space? (god I hope space)
PostPosted: Mon Jun 19, 2006 10:49 am

Kasady wasn't in the suit when Sentry ripped it apart, so even if that part of Carnage died out, there may still be a bit of Carnage left on Earth. At least, that's my understanding of the current situation. All I know is that I hope Carnage wins 'cause I kinda like him...

Anyhoo:

Phil Srobeighn vs. Agent K.

Conditions: If you really think K wins, saying so won't hurt my feelings.

You, because I don't know who that other person is and I wanted to post.

Conditions: Ghost Rider doesn't have his bike, and the Ghost Busters don't have their token black guy.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 30, 2006 12:43 pm

Ghostbusters, as I would assume a very close match if both were in the same genre, yet Ghost Rider is primarily a comic book character, and as such can loose for the puposes of advancing a story arc, whileas the Ghostbusters are movie good guys who always win.

Hmmmm...

I'm going to go with Jon-Oh versus Neo. Conditions: First movie, right at the point that Neo walks in to save Morpheus. Neo does not have Trinity, Jon-Oh does not have a small army and three agents. Jon-Oh has all the guns and ammo Neo has.

Jon-OH because while Neo is all busy slowing down and rotating the camera Jon could just shoot him, being not that amused by that special effect anymore~

Yuri

vs Tassadar
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Conditions: Tassadar can't be mind controlled because Yuri was only ever able to take over humans but luckily enough for him there are some civilians nearby~
PostPosted: Sat Jul 01, 2006 7:11 pm

Is that even a fair question? Tassadar would win by the virtue of the fact that he can create a psionic storm of death that would kill all of Yuri's mind slaves and then he would pick off Yuri since he has a shield that would deflect anything that Yuri could throw at him.

Here's one that sounds rather noobish, even though I am generally interested: Traditional Japanese Samurai vs Traditional Armored Medieval Knight.

Conditions: One on one combat using only the armor and weapons that are normally associated with either fighter. No horses.

Go Shujin-sama

(-_- I was assuming that there were buildings yuri could fortify the mind controlled folks through but oh well, the end result is acceptable.)

Ug. I hate seeing this theoretical matchup.

The Samurai because the Knight was English and suffering from unbalanced humors and was following lady dutchbottom's rules of engagement all while yelling at at his errand boy percival.
Or was that the wrong time period...

Oh well.

umm....

uhh.....
....
Well, fire elemental vs earth elemental?

Conditions: They're both the fully corporeal and attractive girl kind of elemental rather than the hulking golem type and Phil is acting as referee of something similar to a mudwrestling match except with something that's not exactly mud as that would give the earth elemental an advantage.

(I had some pitures in mind for this but I can't find any of them...)
