Tis was their finest hour, as the world plunged into it's darkest....
George stirred, trying to move. Obviously someone came in and dealt with the wound. That was good. Very good. Past that, he felt like s**t. But then again who wouldn't after spilling their own blood, to an unhealthy point before running past security layers, while gripping said wound to stop blood loss, only to get knocked out by their roommate when you had everything under control. Not that it was the roommates fault. In any situation, he felt like he was in for a long yell through. Which didn't matter, he decided as he grabbed his research. He had a lot more to write now. Also he had discovered a threat to the school, but then again he didn't care enough to actually stop said threat. He would merely go with the flow.
And they are the heroes I look up to at this time, wondering when will my chance come? To do the amazing things they did.

As soon as George tries to get up, Setsuna pushes him back down again, frowning sternly. "Oh no you don't. You need to -rest-, so just lay down and relax. Don't make me knock you out again." She looks him in the eye. She means business, and no way is she going to let George get up and risk reopening the wound, or keeping it open. It needs to shut and heal before he can move around without risking his health.

Tis was their finest hour, as the world plunged into it's darkest....
George rolled his eyes but complied. "Whatever you say mother." He told Setsuna. "But if I am going to be hanging around in my bed until this flesh wound heals, can I at least have my notepad to write some of the secrets of the universe so that one day, when the space aliens come to kill us all, I will have the key to save us all?" He asked, sarcasm dripping off his voice. He didn't have time to be injured. He needed to get back to his notes, to his books. Back to what mattered, in his own mind.
And they are the heroes I look up to at this time, wondering when will my chance come? To do the amazing things they did.

"Hmph..." Setsuna frowns at George and decides to oblige him. "Fine. Here..." She gathers the research notes and a pen or pencil from the desk before handing them to him. "Yeah, yeah, find your universal key or whatever... Just don't push yoursef."

Tis was their finest hour, as the world plunged into it's darkest....
George took the pen and started to write once more. Taking a pair of glasses out of the drawer next to his bed, he shook his head. "Sometimes pushing oneself is the only way to solve their own problems." He deadpanned, furiously scribbling away with notes and sketches. He soon immersed himself in the work. Ignoring everything else around him, he soon had a neat little mess on his bed of the books and works he was studying. Each one had sticky notes of parts he wanted to refer back to. Having the mess spread out, George began to move more and more. He continued at a furious rate, muttering about how if he only had more time in the Library, and something about how William and Abraham both would be bigger issues later on if he didn't find more sources of knowledge soon.
And they are the heroes I look up to at this time, wondering when will my chance come? To do the amazing things they did.

Setsuna enters the room and looks around. No one seemed to be here at the moment... hm. Well, in any case, Setsuna goes about her routine for bed, deciding she'd need to rest up for tomorrow, if she's about to start training under Regan... something's she's pleased with, really. Training under a master of the Hiryuu-ryu... She climbs into bed and turns her bedside lamp of, before settling into bed and going to sleep.

Tis was their finest hour, as the world plunged into it's darkest....
George opened the door, now using two crutches to move around. He had been out seeing a family doctor who he knew he could trust to tell the truth. After being admonished, and then treated, he was sent back to school in order to finish his research, and his painting. He had almost finished certain parts of it. However, since there was no point on dwelling on the issue for now, he walked past his bed, placing his backpack down. Taking out a lighter, he flicked it on, lighting a candle that he would use as a light source. Having seen that Setsuna was asleep once he had entered, he choose not to turn on a light, as to not wake her. He instead moved forward and began to once more write in his text, recording more theory on it's pages.

George opened his eyes. He looked around, noticing nothing out of the ordinary. He once again had books sprawled over his body. Today he would get the stitches out, and not have to use the damn crutches. However it did mean that he could do any strenuous physical activity for the next day or so. Which meant the trip was out of question. So he would have to say bye to Axel and that group for the next few days. He would miss them all. But it did mean more time alone for his own little ceremony of finishing his thesis, and submitting it to the local Magic Association head, which was the headmaster at this time.

Setsuna wakes, sitting up in her bed and stretching for a moment. Training with Hiryuu-sama really tires her out, which makes for a good night's sleep. She rises and dresses herself in the restroom, grabbing her katana in it's bag and moving toward the door. "Do you need anything before I go to class, George?" She wasn't sure if he'd be coming today or not... whatever the case. If not, she heads off to class.

Nope. Didn't seem to want anything.

[Leaves to class, grabbing an umbrella.]

Tis was their finest hour, as the world plunged into it's darkest....
George had actually fallen asleep when Sestuna had asked her question. He woke up about an hour or so later, stretching. Looking around, he saw his area of the room was a mess. He still was bleeding a tad bit, but only periodically once they changed his bandages, It was getting less frequent, but still a pain. He guessed this was what females had during their periods. Anyhow, he grabbed a few books, and put them in his bag. He decided not to use his crutches, though his arms and legs were still bandaged up. He would need to return those books eventually. Seeing how he was done with them, he felt it would be good to get rid of them now as to stop them from being an annoyance later on.

Setsuna sits up from her bed, stretching her arms and turning, sitting now on the edge of her bed and looking at the clock. They're going to Osaka today, on the bullet train. She should get to the station, maybe catch some breakfast first. She grabs her sword bag and her suitcase, looking around to make sure she's not forgetting anything. Nope... nothing she seems to be forgetting. She nods to herself and picks up her things, heading out the door.

[Setsuna to the Train Station.]

Philosopher of Magic

George Freeman

I created a theory that could last throughout the ages.
I unified the Magic world and it's laws.
I stood there as an empire fell, since I failed to predict one thing with my equation.
I was there when I was proven right.
I remember being mentioned as the savior.

But I remember none of it.
My memories are of the future.
For now, I am only a school boy.
Creating the formula for the first time.
Sacrificing any chance for love.
For all I need is my books.

George entered his dorm, flopping on the bed. After a minute, he turned the television on. Something good had to be on. He channel flipped until a show caught his eyes. Kinda paying attention, he thought back to the past few days. He decided that moping on the issue would do no good to anyone. Thus, a plan was needed. Plan was this: avoid Raine as much as possible. Deciding it was a good plan, George realized that at this point, he was quite bored. Nothing excited him. He needed excitement, something to spur action from him! Something like.... well something exciting!!!!! Or at least he hoped so. Otherwise he'd be back where he started.

I can see only one thing in the future: That it will surprise us all.

George was bored. Not a normal, there is nothing on television bored. No, this was a mind smashing ohmygodIamsoboredlet'slightthehouseonfire bored. So, extremely bored would be the correct answer. Still, he reasoned, that it would be best to stay in. Oh, how wrong he was then. So, throwing on a coat, he looked around. Ohmygod.... his mind was blown. How did he not notice this earlier. It was a top hat. A freaking top hat. Ohmygod...... George squealed like a little boy. He put it on his head. Punching his fist in the air, he left the dorm, ready to rock that top hat.

George entered his room. Throwing his things on his bed, he ran over to the desk. He then began to write.

Magic has a uniforming theorem. This is like in the mundane physics. Unifying all forms of magic. It can be written out as an equation: Magic Potential divided by Actually usage of magic, plus your magic type equals your magical number. This number is the number that formulates the power of the magical spells that one can use at any given time. Of course, it is only an average, not an absolute. For no one can actually know what the exact magical potential of anyone person.

George thought for a moment. What could he do from here? This was pretty radical stuff. Who knew if anyone would believe his research. This was a teenager who was challenging the established magical theory that had been around for centuries. Reinventing magical basics. All because of one flaw. Was this the right course? George smirked, and picked up the pen once more, writing with a greater fervor.

Magical theory has always been a contested point. Whether it was Wundts book on Daemons, or newer thoughts, Magic has remained a mystery to those who currently use it. However, there are definite laws of magic.

1) Magic is not Omnipotent.
2) Magic is only as powerful as the user
3) Magic is only accessed by those with direct descendants of the original Mage.
4)Magic is not a science. It is not perfect, but mostly touch and go.
5) Magic must have some sort conductor to be used.
6) 'Dark' Magic is based on emotions.
7) 'Light' Magic is based on the environment.
8 ) Magic is not to rule man.
9) Magical Creatures all have a magical affinity
10) Magical affinity is dependent on a person's emotional state.
11) Healing magic is the only magic that must be used in 'Light' uses.

I currently propose a twelfth law. That each magic has an equal and opposite magic. A thirteenth law can be spun off from that: All magics fall under one of four classes of magic, which I will be bringing up later.

George started to feel giddy. Never had he felt so.... good in his life. He needed to finish this...... George decided now would be a good time to take a break. He was almost finished with the main thesis. The addition of the two laws was just the beginning though. He would finish this as fast as he could. Then hightail it out of this city, and hide until the uproar was over with.
I can see only one thing in the future: That it will surprise us all.
