"What good is an unlocked library when you can't read?" Kaome mumbled to herself, though she was grateful for the fire behind her. "At least I can come here for a nice quiet nap..."
At the mention of sandwiches she took her human form and shifted to make herself comfortable as she still sat on the floor. Her tail started to lightly thump the floor at the thought of finally eating something other than stale bread or what little she was able to hunt and kill.

Illias had been quiet for awhile as the others talked. He was examining the books all around him. There was definitely a variety of them, but one in particular had caught his attention. It looked like a very old book with a black leather cover that was pretty worn. In faint letters he made out the word 'ancients' but that was it. He wondered what it could be and without realizing it he stood up and went to the shelf to retrieve it. He took it down and looked at the cover for some time as if trying to comprehend what it could be about through the faded title.
"Find something interesting, Illias," Nar purred in the man's ear. She had watched him get up and pick out one of the few books in the whole library that was forbidden to leave in the hands of one outside the order. It was the book that had been written about them, the vampire ancients, by the God of Death himself. Smirking at how he jumped when she appeared right beside him Nar allowed him to hold onto the book for now as she peered over his shoulder at its familiar pages.
Illias had to breath to calm down from the start that Nar had given him. "Uhhh.....kinda....I couldn't read its title from where I was sitting," he admitted as he put the book back on the shelf. He gave Nar a look that there was more to the story but he was quiet for now and took in the look on her face. There was something strange about that book and by the way Nar was acting it had to be important. Taking his seat again he sighed and began to look at the other books.
Kahn flashed his own dragon teeth at Satoshi when he appeared in his way. "That would explain the warm welcome then," he hissed in reply, not really liking the tone of the death god's only child. "I am here to speak with Nick about some work he is supposed to be doing for me. Where can I find him?"

Satoshi gave a grin. "Ah... the magic here is strongly connected with my old man... He wasn't to happy. Its actually the little spiders fault..." He grinned as he heard the boy was looking Nick. "Ah.. Nick... Well he isn't here... Hang on..." He closed his eyes, and did a quick scan. "He is on the mainland... With Hamza..." Opening his eyes, they were a dark coloration, but lightened up quickly. "How quant... its Hamza's first hunt." He pushed himself off the wall. "Near Niagra falls, in the forest." Satoshi finished as he opened a portal for the man. "So you dont' have to fight any more urges." He rinkled his nose.

Kahn rolled his eyes at the mentioning of Ser. "Sometimes I wonder if there isn't any secret relationship between her and the old man....." he commented gruffly to Satoshi. He of course was referring to Hathern. "Then again I think of that when I see him and Kira together too." A smirk crossed his face at that thought. He knew all about Nick's secret relationship. It would only make it even funnier if Kira was secretly seeing someone as well. "Well I will not disturb him if he is off hunting. He needs to spend time with his son. But do let him know that I am looking for him when they return." Eyes becoming a bit brighter he smirked and stated darkly, "if I didn't know better I would think you enjoyed watching me fight them. Question is, which urges." He gave a wink at that and chuckled under his breath as he now leaned against the wall and watched Satoshi.

Satoshi grinned and took a step closer to the man. "I enjoy watching a lighter magic user squirm any day..." He didn't really want to get on the topic of any other type of urge.. as he was sure it would get to the point of him doing something stupid, as he was still on a buzz from the drink he had earlier. Now how empty was that bottle when I closed it? He asked himself.

"Oh really, is that all?" Kahn purred, very amused with the smell of alcohol on the man and how he took a step closer as he spoke. "Poor defenseless light magic user all alone shows up here and you of all people come to greet me. If I remember correctly you did the same thing last time I visited this house." He smirked darkly at this as his magic wavered but held for now. His actions were provoking the darker magic but he fought it for now. "If I didn't know any better I would think you enjoyed our little meetings where its just us." He licked his lips to wet them but still made it look just a touch seductive for a man.

Satoshi gave a little hick as he turned color and looked away. "Like hell... Your so full of your ego, giver..." He looked back to Kahn, biting his bottom lip slightly, his fangs still showing.

"And you yours, godling," Kahn purred, his markings starting to change ever so slightly. The powers were canceling each other out so that they disappeared altogether. But his dragon teeth could still be seen within his almost human teeth as he smiled at Satoshi. This was almost too much fun.

Satoshi returned the mans grin. "Are enjoying yourself... I am still buzzed from my last drink..." He gave a small cheeky grin to the man.

Haramie felt an odd vibration under her feet and she glanced around quickly. "I feel like there's ssssomething ELSE happening...I think someone elssse has come onto the estate..." It was strange. Normally, it was so calm, what with the twins being out most of the time, and the estate having its own personal barriers and reputation...what was with everything being stirred up all of a sudden, after all of these years? She wondered to herself silently, playing with a lock of hair. First Narcissus had woken up, then all of these people had arrived...

Kahn chuckled at that and replied as he stepped closer to Satoshi, "oh I know, I can smell it on you still." He stood very close to the man now, his eyes shining brightly and his markings starting to return but not his shaman ones. He was becoming more and more reaper-like with this antic he had going. What he wanted to know was if Satoshi would take the bait.

Satoshi gave a hesitant grin as he adverted his eyes from the man. "I won't make a move... You know the rules for us gods..." He whispered. "Not to mess with the mortals..." Satoshi said as he looked back up to Kahn with a slanted grin on his face.
Kira gave a small grin. "Its Lord Kahn... He is most likely here to drag my Husband back to work... And here I was hoping for a night with him.." She sighed as she finished the tea.

Kahn hummed in thought as the rule was brought up. "Oh, that never stopped your father with Narssississ, now did it?" He chuckled at that thought knowing it to be very true. Lowering his voice a bit so it sounded more like his words were being hummed than spoken he said, "besides, what do the gods care? You do not hold a rank that demands your detachment from mortals. So why follow the rules when you are not on the same level of responsibility they are?"

Satoshi took a step back. "As my movements way judgement to my father's tittle..." He said. "As well as I was once one of them... and they don't forget things easily..." Satoshi said as he finished taking his step backwards.

Kahn gave a snort before letting his reaper powers relax and slowly start to shift back to shaman. "Suit yourself then, Satoshi. Though I doubt you will ever get this easy of a chance again," he smirked as he leaned in the doorway and looked out into the courtyard. He knew exactly where Nar was on the estate, but he was not about to go see her. He had a feeling that she was amongst others.
