Of course we speak weird!!! We are those with an obsecion, and this obcsion will of course show in our everyday lifes! It adds fun-ness to our lifes!

fun-ness, good example of buffy slang, also, baddies, and i'll have more, later, buffy's on now

My sister gets all mad cause I do buffy-speak all the time. She glaers, cause I am always like, that is uber nifty, or somthing.......fun-ness is my fav part.

She gets mad because of Buffy-Speak? o_O

haha, my parents and brother yell at me whenever i say uber and bloody, they are so sick of my buffy speach, it's funny, ohh, they aslo hate when i sat 5 by 5

I don't think anyone NOTICES my Buffy-Speak

Does 5 by 5 even mean anything? stare

You know...I don't think I've ever said "uber"...

merlinssister: If you Buffy-Speak, you likely do it without knowing. The people of Buffy basically talk like Joss talks. It's not necessarily using words like "uber", it's just the way they string everything together.

Talking like Willow probably leads to Buffy-Speak whee

Uber..? I didn't know that was even part of Buffy-Speak.. A couple of my friends use that world non-stop and they've never watched Buffy..

Spike: "What's this? Sitting around watching the telly while there's evil still afoot? It's not very industrious of you. I say, we go out there, and kick a little demon a**. What, can't go without your Buffy? Is that it? Too chicken? Let's find her. She is the Chosen One, after all. Come on! Vampires! Grrr! Nasty. Let's annihilate them. For justice, and for the safety of puppies, and Christmas, right? Let's fight that evil. Let's kill something. Oh, come on!"

I love Spike, hes so funny with all the things he says. This one is from "Doomed" the one where he learns he can fight Demons.

o_o You know, I'm not sure it is. The Scoobies just use it a lot, but that doesn't mean it *is*

The way I see it, an instant Buffy-Speak is adding "ness" and "ish" to words whee

@_@ Of course, I like saying "ishness"...

My friends and I-me being the only actual Buffy-obsessed one-really like to add ish and ness to stuff. I think for us it really started when one of them tried to say "Canadian" but somehow ended up saying "Canad-ee-ish", which is our word for Canadian now. We also have "Britanish" whee

It's really fun to say, and it's like habit for me now whee If I say Canadian, I automatically correct myself and say Canad-ee-ish.

5 by 5 is auctuall a radio term meaning "all clear" or "everything's all right", i just like how faith uses it so it made an impression on how i use it,

i kno for a fact that uber is an auctual word, and is used oustide of buffy, i just clasified it as buffy speak because i picked it up watching buffy, i think that what constuites buffy speak is pretty much what's bee fused into ur regular speach because of watching buffy, such as ish, and ness at the ends of words, the way u string words together, and words like 5 by 5, and uber, i suppose if u look at it that way, buffy speak could be different for certain ppl

Actually...anything said by Oz whee

I actually started talking in Buffy-Speak automatically after awhile. I said "badness" around some girl (I already didn't like her) and she made fun of me for it stare

I talk bufftastical all the time. 0_0 It's odd! I pick up so much stuff from Buffy it just isn't funny.

Same 3nodding Although, people will ask me for examples of Buffy Speak, and I can't give them any. I think it's because it's so molded with my own way of speaking that I can't tell it apart anymore from how people speak sweatdrop

OMFG *huglomp*

Nobody asks me for examples, but I SO know what you mean biggrin
