"My Heart Burns A Light White,... I Am A Broken Heart... White Hot Flames... ████ ████████████████████████████████ ▌☀ ▌███████ Mayrinshou raised an eyebrow. The poison seemed to be now sucked up completely, which meant that the girl would now be feeling lots of pain. He felt her shudder, and he also heard her scream, though still, she was enduring it...most people would have died by then, but she was still alive...Smirking, he stood up, dusring himself off. He held his flame up, its red glowing as hot as embers. "She'll be fine now, as long as she rests...the wound'll take a while to heal of course...so I'd suggest a week of bedrest. And for the payment...I want information about Luo, the Fire Lord. Y'see I have some business with him...so, do you know where he is...?" ███████ ▌☀ ▌███████████████████████████████ █████ Blue Shocking Thunder... The doors opened as the steps of Yang came in and were lost amongst the subtle noise of the tea shop. Yang knew not what to do next. He looked around, realizing he had not thought through this plan, a sign wasn't just going to jump out at him and tell him what was next, or a book falling from the sky describing his parents. He had no leads.
Yang sighed as he lowered his head looking at the tile then from a corner of the restaurant, close to what seemed to be the back door, a voice spoke up, quiet, gentle and shaky an old man bent over slightly forward, one arm supporting himself, he obviously had a bad back, "Why hello there young man...you seem lost..." said the man as he looked Yang up and down.
"I am sir..." said Yang sadly, he didn't know why he had the feeling but he seemed to be able to trust the old man almost immediately. "I'm not sure what to do next..." Yang looked down at the tile once more,
"A Pai Sho tile I see..." said the old man to him, "Why not have a game with an old timer... it may clear your head..." said the old man offering a seat to Yang to take.
Yang shiftily took the seat, but he took it none the less. How could the old man see what was in his hand from so far away?
"Why don't you begin the game Young Boy."

Yue Yao'an bowed repeatedly and thankfully to Mayrinshou, uttering, "Thank you, sir, thank you..." He was interrupted by Mayrinshou's abrupt question. He blinked twice, as if he did not understand the question. "... Isn't the Fire Lord in the Fire Palace, mister? In the capital of the Fire Nation?" Yue certainly looked a bit confused.

Mayrinshou's eyes widened. For some reason, he was surprised. He had never thought of that. "Wait...The Fire Nation Palace...?" He questioned as he slapped his palm upon his forehead. "So this ISN'T the Firenation?!" Mayrinshou turned to his right, looking at a sign that read, Jasmine Dragon. His jaw dropped as he shuddered angrily. "THIS IS BA SING SE!" Screaming he dropped onto the floor, banging his head against the ground heavily. He had been given the wrong information from his most RELIABLE source, and now, he had just found out that he was in Ba Sing Se....Dang, his life sucked.

Yue Yao'an rushed to Mayrinshou, trying to restrain him and prevent him from hurting himself. At this point, the Yu Yan Archer markings on his face were clearly displayed. "Man, calm down! Calm down! Ba Sing Se's still a good place, you know? There's a king here and everything, so stop banging your head on the ground..."

((Part Two))
The tiles were in place the game seemed to go flawlessly, almost too much so. Yang looked down at the board, just like the games he and his father used to play in the library. The pieces lined so perfectly formed a White Lotus.
"I see you went with the White Lotus gambit," said the old man in his shaky voice, "Not many cling to the ancient ways." The old man smiled up to Yang.
Yang searched the old man's eyes, he could not tell why but he knew how to respond, "Those who do..." Yang's red eyes met the man's, "Can always find a friend..."
The man's smile widened,"Welcome Brother, the White Lotus opens wide to those who know her secrets," the man stood slowly bracing his back with his forearm, "I almost wasn't sure when you walked through those doors young man, but those eyes gave you clear away, you are the son of Yun and Kozu, You are th-"
"You know of my parents!" Yelled Yang jumping to his feet, knocking the chair backwards, and calling the entire restaurants attention to himself. His first clue seemed to have found him, he knew this was the first step in something greater.
"I think we should talk somewhere quieter Young Man" said the elder gentleman. "Come Come, this way" he said gesturing Yang to follow him to a small door towards the back of the tea shop.
Yang looked around and saw the majority of the restaurant staring to him. Now nervous, he silently followed the old man.
"There are places like this, safe havens for all like us set up all around the world," said the old man as they reached the door now out of sight of anyone in the restaurant. The door was decorated with thirteen white lotus tiles outwardly extending in layers, one in the center of the door and the next four at the top bottom and both sides of the center piece, the next layer was in eight one above the top tile of the previous layer, one to the right of the right, to the left of the left, and the bottom of the bottom, there were also tiles diagonal of the previous layer, making the formation of thirteen tiles.
"What do you mean?" asked Yang
"Patience..." spoke the man as he reached a single skinny finger to the door touching the single tile in the center, it extended outward and the man pushed it in, the group of four around it then extended, using two fingers now the old man pushed in a combination of tiles, first the two on the top and bottom, then the two at both sides, those tiles safely sank back into the door as the last layer of eight extended, the old man again used a special combination, with this all the tiles had been pressed. As the final tiles sank into the door the door itself split down the middle sliding open to a dark staircase, with a bright light barely visible at the top, the mystery to this small tea shop's great size was revealed to Yang, something was at the top of it. "Follow me..." said the old man looking back to Yang with a smile.
Almost in awe of the process that he just witnessed in order to simply open a door Yang silently followed. grasping one of his blades as a precaution.
"Don't worry" said the old man to Yang seeing what he had just done, "Where we are going, you will not need those, you will be welcomed."
Yang unwittingly lowered his hand from his blade, grabbing them both instead now and removing them from his waist all together, he handed to the old man and nodded, "Take me to find out about my parents..." he said his red eyed stare intently focused on the old man's smiling face.
"Welcome back."

Yue Yao'an hesitated. He soon realized that this man was much like him--or perhaps his younger self--a wanderer and an assassin. A killer. Yue tried to say something, something to dissuade Mayrinshou from risking and condemning his own life to a horrible fate. But no words came out. Instead, Yue calmly walked over to where the unconscious Hikaru was. The owner of the teashop offered to give him and Hikaru shelter while Hikaru was recovering, and Yue carried Hikaru upstairs to the second floor of the teashop. He passed by a young fellow who seemed to be a White Lotus member, despite his young age... it was no secret that the Jasmine Dragon was owned by the Order of the White Lotus, but even after decades of common knowledge, it was still in Ba Sing Se gossip columns.

He knew that Yue reminded him of someone, perhaps himself...only...the last person Suki loved had died...whereas Yue's lover survived. That, he supposed, was the main difference. Smirking, he now grabbed his Jasmine Tea, taking a sip. He pulled from his pocket a single Lotus Flower, as well as the Lotus Flower Tile. Holding both within his grasp, he dropped a petal of the flower into his tea, now drinking it once more. "Delicious..." ███████ ▌☀ ▌███████████████████████████████ █████ Blue Shocking Thunder... [Part Three]
Yang watched as another passed him, his eyes searching as they reached the top of the staircase, the room opened up. It was like nothing that he had ever seen before, The room was no bigger than the teashop below but it was decorated with such splendor.
White Marble tile lined the floor brightening the area, in the middle of the floor a White Lotus tile sat. There were tables lining the walls, each decorated with a white lotus flower perched atop it.
The old man guided Yang to a peculiar looking seat towards the back. The seat looked far more exquisite than the rest at the tables in the room, it looked over the room, farthest back in the center, just above the floor by three steps, the chair was outlined with white tile a lotus tile perfectly centered at the top of the lining decoration. The chair it self was a deep red, "Velvet Maybe..." Yang thought to himself.
The old man gestured for Yang to sit, to which Yang pointed his index finger at himself dumbfounded, "Me?" he asked rather simply.
The old man looked at Yang with a puzzled stare, "Yes you...You did come here to take your rightful place didn't you?"
"My...rightful place?" said Yang just as visibly puzzled as the old man
"Your parents did not tell you?" asked the old man back.
Yang looked at the old man quizzically, his eyes searched for an answer but none came so Yang had no choice but to tell the man. "I never met my parents, I never knew them, I was raised in an alternate manner, I only have this tile as a clue," Yang pulled out the White Lotus tile that he used to play and showed it to the old man.
The old man looked at him once over, "I see..." he said silently seeming more saddened now than the previous happy face that he wore. "Young Man...what are you called now?"
"I am called Yang...Yang Kaido" responded Yang.
"Well then, Yang Kaido, we have much to discuss but for now you need know this..." The old man paused almost as if he were unsure whether or not to disclose the information, but he chose to say it, "...You are the Grand Master of the Order of the White Lotus. The Leader of our great order that has transcended all nations!" he finished.
Yang's eyes grew wide, he had read about this order but had thought it only a fairy tail he looked at the old man who looked back smiling, and then upon the room which looked to him as the new leader...."Eh?" said Yang taken aback what he had just been told, as it sank in he became shocked, "Eh!" he yelled aloud, his voice echoing throughout the upstairs of the tea shop.

No matter how deep the darkness... Slowly the excruciating pain faded as the world around Hikaru became slowly lighter. A floating feeling surrounded her body, lifting her upwards as the pain continued to recede only to become an angry burning in her wounded shoulder, nothing more. Meanwhile Hikaru's surroundings continued to become brighter and brighter until they were nearly blinding. all she could do was squeeze her eyes shut against the light and wait for it to pass. Finally the light receded and Hikaru became aware of new sensations around her. The sounds of distant voices, creaking of steps the smell of fresh wood and tea, the burning pain in her shoulder, and finally the feeling of arms holding her securely as someone carried her. She let out a tiny groan and opened her eyes slowly. The first thing she saw was Yue's worried face above her. "Yue...?"There will always be a light...

Yue Yao'an was momentarily interrupted by an "eh?!" yell from somebody in the teashop, but when it was clear that nothing was going to happen, Yue turned back to Hikaru, holding back tears of joy and relief as she woke. "Hikaru! Thank the spirits, are you alright? The Order of the White Lotus allowed us to stay here for a while as you recover. How are you feeling?" Yue poured Hikaru some tea as he urgently waited for a response.

"Please calm down," said the old man gesturing to Yang to lower his voice, "Sit, sit" he told him.
Yang more fell back into the lush more throne than sitting. He placed his elbow on the marble armrest and placed his hand in it. "What do you mean?"
"I see you are confused. Let me tell you of the story of your parents..." began the old man his glance becoming whimsical. "You are the sun of a beautiful martial artist that went by the name of Yun, and a powerful firebender named Kozu, Kozu Kajo."
"Kajo..." Yang muttered, the surname sounded familiar.
"Yes, Kajo, a previous fire lord. During his reign there was a Terrible war with the Earth nation, though the fault has never been officially placed, the one who started the war, was none other than Firelord Kajo."
"I read about that war. How is it possible that you know who is to blame? And what does this have to do with me?" Yang asked.
"This..." said the old man. "Firelord Kajo had a single sibling who was struck from all records of the fire nation. The Firebending Master who was the former leader of the Order of the White Lotus, Kozu Kajo. It was foretold that he would become our Grand Master by the spirit of a White Dragon. Kozu discovered of his brother's plans to start a war in a great time of peace and Vowed to do everything in his power to stop him. He confronted his brother and defeated him in an Agni Kai, but as the precedence set by Grand Lotus Iroh stated, a brother killing a brother can only be seen as meaningless violence. Your father, chose to spare Firelord Kajo but in return the generals turned on him as well. Your father, escaped the Fire Nation and returned to us, he would use the White Lotus to expose his brother, instead of killing him. He also had more to think about, he had a family. A beautiful wife, and a newborn son, so Young that he did not even have a name. That son was you."
~Cue Flashback~ A woman stands alone holding a small baby, rocking him slowly, and looking to him lovingly. A man then walks in strong and proud looking smiling as he looks over the woman at his baby boy.
"He chose to go into hiding with his family in order to keep you all safe while he used the Order to bring peace and justice. He chose to take you and your mother away, no one could know where you would be just that you would be comfortable and hidden away."
The couple walked away embracing each other and coddling the newborn child.
"But the Fire Lord could not allow your father to stop him..."
A long haired man dressed in Fire Nation clothing stood atop a roof looking down on the happy couple, grimacing. The tanned man had one distinct feature Ice cold blue eyes, the mark of the Water Tribe.
"Last we knew Kajo hired an Assassin that went by the name of Blood to hunt your family...We never heard from your family again, but when the war suddenly ended with a treaty, we all believed it to be your Father...if you have never met him...then I can only assume he met his end by Blood."
The couple rode through the desert on a carriage driven by Lizzards the man at steering, the woman holding the baby hidden away from the full moon and the cold desert's embrace. In their path stood the same tanned man. Yang's Mother looked worriedly at his father. Kozu speed up the carriage not stopping for anything. The man then brought out water from a large pouch on his back and in a single slice killed both of the lizzards driving the carriage. As it came to a crashing halt the carriage fell, Kozu jumping into the back as Yun grabbed a wooden carriage and they both jumped out.
Facing down the bender the Father yelled a few words at the man. Silent the man bent at the knees, he quickly ran towards Yang's father. Kozu launched a stream of fire towards the bender, who summoned water from the pouch spiking the stream through the fireball which split. Turning it into ice he launched a Spike at Kozu who turned, roundhouse kicking a fireball at the bender melting the spike. From seemingly nowhere Yun dropped down with both feet, Blood suddenly stopped and dodged sideways to avoid the impact.
Hand to hand combat he was no match for her. Yun dodged his punch and moved smoothly around him aiming a punch for a pressure point in his rib. Suddenly her hand stopped. Kozu, already rushing in was stopped by his own wife swinging at him. She looked shocked, as if she were being controlled, suddenly the name blood became apparent he was a blood bender and under the full moon he was able to control the mother, he bended spikes around the hands of the mother and smiled speaking for the first time, "Kill your own wife or be killed." said the bender.
Kozu looked helplessly at his wife as she surged forward at him. He dodged the attacks sloppier than his wife would be as she screamed in agony.
"The child! Save him!" she yelled through her pain. Kozu escaped from the attacks and ran to the carriage and the baby. He couldn't leave his wife, looking back he saw her then looked at the child. "We love you, my child," said Kozu as a single tear dropped from his eyes onto the face of the screaming baby. He set the child down and used fire bending to create a fire ball launching the ball to the baby carriage which propelled it into the desert.
"Tch," said Blood, "He won't survive out there anyways." said the Assassin not bothered at losing one target to the desert. Yun looked at her husband now crying as well, "Darling...I'm sorry."
Kozu's red eyes met his Wife's with compassion as she surged forward sobbing, "I love you..." she said to him. Kozu opened his arms and was run through by the ice spiked hands of his wife. As blood trickled from his mouth he looked to his wife and smiled as he closed his arms around her. "I love you too...Yun."
As he finished his words they both burst into a supernova of flames, Both bodies were turned to ash as the lovers embraced. "Live on...my son..." said the father, almost a whisper of the ashes as they blew away into the desert.
Blood smirked, "So adorable I could puke," he said as he turned and disappeared into the desert.
Far away a fireball dissipated and carriage with a crying child came to a halt. in these conditions he couldn't survive. By luck, or maybe fate, a fox trotted by, and stopped at the sound. Cautiously approaching the carriage, Seeing the baby and the baby seeing it, the crying stopped and the intrigue increased, the baby's red eyes met the fox's inquisitive ones. The fox grabbed the cloth wrapping the baby in its teeth and carried it off as if it were the stork.
The fox approached a small hole in the ground, and from it a small window rose and the fox jumped in. Thus the Legacy of Kozu and Yun ended and the Legacy of Yang Kaido began.
~Back to the Present~
Yang's fist were gripped tight. "Blood..." said Yang getting used to the name. "Where can I find this Fire Lord Kajo?" questioned Yang standing
The old man looking quite concerned, "Lord Kajo has since died," said the old man, "Yang...it was foretold, that a Kajo, with blood red eyes, wise beyond his years and the likes of which we had never seen before, one touched by the spirits we believed it to be your father... Just before he left we were visited a second time by the spirit, the Kajo to become the Grand Master was not him but You, we do not know what the Spirits have in store for you but you will become the Master of the Order. What will you do?"
Yang thought on the subject then carefully choosing his words he spoke calmly, "I will lead this Order in the name of my Birth-Father...in exchage...Tell me everything you know about Blood." Yang's fierce eyes met the old mans with an intense stare.
