 ♣ Nathanial ♦ Lockhart ♣♠ Let's play a game,
Just you and I ♠ Nathanial finally allowed himself to give her a brilliant smile before his expression went back to its normal emptiness. He knelt down so he could scoop her up into his arms and carried her over to the fire where he set her down close enough to feel its warmth. He then seated himself across the fire from her and stared deeply into the flames, mind consumed by thoughts. ♠ Let's play a game,

 Princess wasn't sure what to make of his smile as he carried her to the fire. She stared at Nathanial for a while, her blank eyes seemed to look past him, trying to see his soul. Finally she tilted her head slightly to one side. "What are you...thinking of?" she asked him.

Just you and I ♠ Nathanial looked up to Princess, staring at her blankly for a moment before he began to speak. "I think of many things, like my purpose here and why people acted the way they do. I also question about you since you are the first I've encoured who does not seem to react with anger or joy. It puzzles me truly." He stopped for a moment to place a hand over his heart. "Do you have a heart that sings?" He asked. ♠ Let's play a game,

"I do not know. How would I know if it sings if i have never heard it even speak?" Princess siad the question as more of a statement. "It has been a long time since I have done anything on my own, that I have lost many things that other people have kept."

Just you and I ♠ "Lost? Can your puppets not help you find what you seek?" Nathanial asked with a faint hint of a frown. "Or has what you've lost been something one cannot capture?" He tilted his head to the left, dark eyes questioning. Nathanial kept away from most, so he did not understand clearly what it was the Princess had meant. He had nothing to lose since he had nothing to begin with. ♠ Let's play a game,

She placed her hand over his where it still rested over her heart. "It feel empty in here, like nothing can live." Princess told him. "I have vague memories. I once use to smile and be happy, but then my heart just felt empty one day, and nothing that once made me happy did anymore. So i went looking for something to fill the void, and I never found it. So I sat at my table, and slowly I lost many things." She looked into his eyes again before closing her's. "I lost my will to speak, I lost my will to move, I lost my will to do anything but sit there. My puppets cared for me. they try to make me smile again. But i seem to have lost my smile to, along with every part of who I use to be..."

"I have never known who I am, and I do not intend to find myself for I will only find nothing more than pain and misery." He opened his eyes, their dark irises seemed darker now. "I do not know how I can help you find yourself, but I will assist as well as I can." ♠ Let's play a game,

"What is the point of looking for it?" She asked him. "Finding things that where lost and do not make me happy anymore, they don't fill the void inside. I cannot fill my own void. Something new maybe might fill it. but nothing old will. eventually I will lose my will and return to my table. I will sit till another man like you shows up and makes me think of why i am there, or if not I will die."

Just you and I ♠ Nathanial just sat silently, face blank once again. He then got up and walked away from the fire and Princess. He tilted his head back and stard up at the sky. "There is no other like I, except you." He seemed to stand perfectly still for a long time, his eyes gazing up at the sky before he slowly turned around to look at Princess. ♠ Let's play a game,

 Rin hit Mihashi in the back. "You are such a baby!" She told him. "Just some stupid injuries. Not like you'll die. Now shut up." She told him her eyes cold as eyes. "We can't screw up anymore!" She growled through white teeth. She was mad. And she wouldn't let anything get in her way next time. She'll just throw something badder meaner more destructive at her.

 The boy made two objects and threw them. They became two paper doll guards as they scooped up the paper cranes. They were able to pick them all up and wrap before taking it before there stomach. There shaped wrapped around them and they were now huge paper doll guards. The boy got up and walked to the fire. He was sitting on the opposite side of where they had been sitting. Continuing to make paper cranes. He was saying something but it was too quite to hear. So nobody minded.

 I watched the men go, row by row and I never knew how fun it was to watch them go..
Mihashi looked lazily at Rin,"So what now your highness."He said this sarcastically.
Their bodies disappearing like thick black smoke and I lingered there watching them float...

She sighed. "We wait for the next night. And hope that the portal opens tonight. Too bad it doesn't always open every night..." He said before smiling at Mihashi. "So what do you want to do for the time being?" She asked him.

Just you and I ♠ The young man nodded as he moved to Princess and helped her so that she was sitting again. "Yes," He said softly, "but in a way, all people are alike, some more than others." He looked back to the clay kettle and removed it from its place over the fire and filled the three cups, handing on to Princess and then offered on to the boy. "You have been awfully quiet, perhaps you'd wish to speak to us?" He looked at the boy for a long while, the cup still in his hands. ♠ Let's play a game,
