Harvested Sorrow tolkien Harvested Sorrow For those interested.... www.inthelight.co.nz/ledzep/zososymbol.htm It details the origin of Zoso. and www.reversespeech.com/music_reversals.htm details Stairway To Heaven's backwards speech, at the bottom of the page, with this: Stairway to Heaven If there was a top 40 of backmasked songs, then "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin would be at the top. This song contains many backward messages. Here is one of them that occurs right at the very end of the song.. It says: "Play backwards. Hear words sung." However, by far the most controversial backward messages on the song can be found in the following soundtrack. They say backwards: "Its my sweet Satan. The one whose little path would make me sad whose power is fake (indeterminate gibberish - some people claim this says, He gives you 666) There was a little toolshed where he made us suffer, sad Satan." A complete analysis of the reversals in this song and their meanings can be found in this extract: Stairway to Where? from the book, "Reverse Speech: Voices From The Unconscious." This book contains an extensive and historical analysis of many other reversals and backward messages in music. To purchase a copy of this book go to the Products Section of this website. It also provides a link to the article I mentioned that goes pretty far in-depth about the possible meanings behind the words in Stairway To Heaven...for you lazy ********, that link is: www.reversespeech.com/framestairway.htm who are you calling "lazy ********"? But i did read that site and I have gathered that Led Zeppelin weren't of the a satanic group, but as they said it may have been a song of hope to the people who (as legends say) suffered on the Aleister Crowley grounds. Robert Plant states "I think that this is a song of hope" in the movie the song remains the same, right before doing stairway to heaven. Lazy ******** are the ones who have interest in this, but are too lazy to go to the site and read it themselves and find the link due to that. It was meant light heartedly, and not directed at anyone in paticular....but hey, if the shoe fits.... I like the idea that it was about double meanings that was put foward the best, myself....heaven and hell, and that type of thing. I listened to Stairway to Heaven backwards at three different speeds, and at none of them could I hear any talking, chanting, or singing. I think the people that do hear these things only hear these things because they want to. Oh well, that's my opinion anyways. The sites were very convincing, but that doesn't make them true either, and they could have messed with the Stairway clip so that it did say stuff, too, you know.

Yes, they messed with a clip so it would say stuff that people have been hearing since the album came out...what..30 years ago, before digital editing?

i also think that people who hear things from a backmasked song is just so damn paranoid... and why would i listen to a song backwards?...that's just not the purpose of the song, right? and what if led zepp or simply jimmy page "is" an atheist or something else... i wouldn't care, now would i?...i like their music...and that's it! Simple as that!

The secret message is actually more along the lines of "Oh heres to my sweet Satan, the one whose little path would make me sad whose power is Satan (or fake), he will give those with the 666, there was a little toolshed where he made us suffer, sad Satan."

It's hard to choose, but either "Whole Lotta Love" [brings back nice memories heart ], "Over the Hills and Far Away", or definitely "Stairway to Heaven".....

ScarfaceSpartan The secret message is actually more along the lines of "Oh heres to my sweet Satan, the one whose little path would make me sad whose power is Satan (or fake), he will give those with the 666, there was a little toolshed where he made us suffer, sad Satan." this whole backmasking buisness is a bunch of rubbish! and it makes no sence . first it says "Oh heres to my sweet Satan" implying that it supports satan.then it supposidly said "the one whose little path would make me sad whose power is Satan (or fake)"saying that the path of satan would make it sad, and then saying that he has fake power (because if it said whos power is satan it would make even less sence!)then it is supposed to say "he will give those with the 666" which i cant summise anything about.and then"there was a little toolshed where he made us suffer, sad Satan" implying that they were with satan and they had to suffer to do so.so if flipps back and forth between opinions and some doesnt make any sence..more like the whole thing doesnt make any sence when its all put together.

nigrine ya, who? smile
hey guys...i wanna share something...it makes me soooo sad... crying
ok..so, i'm quite an active Catholic and i've been posting in a message board for a Catholic Community, (Song Title Game thing...) and they tell me that listening to songs like STH and Hotel California is very wrong....(considering the terms of back masking)
i don't agree with them....i told them that one's intentions put meaning into the songs we listen...so, it's a personal thing if i consider STH an atheist song or not...(other songs too)
then they tell me, that anything we do must only be for His glorification... i rested my case....but what i think is that i have my own personal way of living out my faith as a Catholic...
sorry for the waste of time....i just can't keep this thing all bottled up...
feel free to say anything to me....
sad just dont listen to them. i hate how people make Jesus and God into such judges. i dont believe that a person has to do everything according to the bible. why would God make us so different if he wanted us to all be the same?

Harvested Sorrow Following the same basic set of rules doesn't make everyone the same. xp im sorry if i have offended anyone, but many of those "rules" (not including the comandments are just weird interpretations. like i cant find anywhere where it says that being gay is a one way ticket to hell.but anyway , i think it would be alright to talk about religous things relating led zeppelin, not about "rules " woven into the bible.so..

Led Zeppelin is an awesome band... One of the best rock bands known to man. They did a lot of blues based stuff and yea... so what if they stole the cover "Dazed and Confused"??? Wow... that really makes me not like them... Still, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant are both god in the flesh... Very talented people... 3nodding

It's related to the city of Sodom, and how God wants it to be burned because of the rampant homosexuality. Something along those lines. I don't recall, honestly.
