"That's great. Are you going to be a warrior or an aprentice?" Her behavior was out of character for her, but she felt animated taoday. Her question were filled with genuine curiosity unlike before. it was wierd for her, but it was satisfying.

"I honestly don't know." Summer mewed, looking at Cedarstar. She probally was going to become a warrior, but she knew the path she wanted. A medicine cat apprentice suited her better. "I think I might be the apprentice of Windy." Summer mewed. Her leg would never heal enough for her to be a proper warrior.

"Did I just hear my name?" Windy mewed padding out of her den. She came up to the cats clustered in the clearing."What about me Summer?" She mewed in a kind tone. She had heard her name as she woke up and wondered what it was about. She soon learned that Summer had said her name and wondered why.

"I wanted to take the path of a Medicine Cat." Summer mewed, hoping her sister wouldn't react.
Spottedpath looked at her sister remembering what her mother had told her. She had told her that Summer was going to choose the path of a medicine cat. This did not suprise her as Summer always had a knack for herbs.

"That would be wonderful summer!" She mewed enthusiastically."You have a great knowledge for herbs. I would love to have you as an aprentice. Cedarstar, do you agree with this?" She turned to the large leader hoping he would say yes. Windy could teach her all about herbs, but she didn't know much about clan life. summer could teach her how to act and everything she didn't know.

Cedarstar nodded. "Yes. She would be perfect for being a medicine cat." A tiny, almost undetectable hint of disappointment tipped his voice though his expression was the usual calm look. "From this point on, Summer can take up the name Summerpaw until Windy feels she has earned her name." He looked up at the sky and at the nearing half moon. "A medicine cat meeting will be soon. I'm sure you both are excited to attend your first."

"That shouldn't take too long Cedarstar now would it?" Spottedpath mewed to Cedarstar, "After all, she probally met with the same tribe I did on my way here."
Summerpaw smiled. Spottedpath was right. "I've been to one of these meetings with my mother Leafpool. It will be nice to actually participate in one." she mewed, knowing that from this point onwards that she could never mate. "I can tell you're disapointed." Summerpaw mewed only to Cedarstar, "It's hard to detect but it's there" In her mind she told Leafpool, Cinderpelt and Spottedleaf a great thank you.

"Be paitent Blackpaw. It was hard for me to wait for my first day of being trained." Spottedpath mewed, placing her long, thin tail on the apprentice's shoulder.
Summerpaw followed Windy to the medicine cat's den to start training. It won't be long, It won't be long she thought.

"Hm, what?" Nightstep mewed being taken out of the weird trance of being freindly put her into."Oh yeah. How about I take you out for some hunting prctice. I bet you just can't wait to get started. I know I couldn't my first day." She remebered that day vivdly. She had just begun aprenticeship and all she wanted to do was train. but Runningleaf kept it off for a while, making her tend to the elders. Then finally they trained and it was even better than she had anticipated becuase all she wanted to do was get out of the camp and it made it all the better. She hoped Blackpaw would get that too.

"That would be quite helpful Spottedpath. I can already tell he's going to be difficult" Nightstep sighed with the exhaustion she knew was yet to come."Although I'm sure he'll prove loyal and strong once we get him calmed down." She sighed again and grabbed a peice of fresh kill for herself, plopping down and relaxing, for she knew she was in for a lot of hard work.

Spottedpath too went over and took a mouse. "I'm sure if he works with the elders for a bit that will help him calm down. When I finally get an apprentice and you still have yours we can train together. It's been a while." Spottedpath mewed, biting into her mouse and listening closely.
"Windy, did you want to start on the clan terms?" Summerpaw mewed, remembering all the herbs at once. She guessed that she was going to be there about a moon or if she's lucky half a moon. As she looked in the corner, she took note of the herbs there. Dock, goldenrod, cobwebs, juniper berries, comfrey, tansy, lavender, marigold, poppy seed, watermint, feverfew, yarrow and catmint she thought as she took note of the quantities.

Nightstep padded in with her proud aprentice trailing behind his head high. She flicked her tail at the fresh kill pile for him to drop his fresh kill there.
"Yes I would love that Sumerpaw." She was excited to finaly going to learn about the clan. She felt so out of place there without knowing anything.
