finally i saw crash
and i must say that i really liked it....even more then i expected...its one of those movies you can just sit back and enjoy all the way...and it still isnt one of those predictable bruce willis movies... xp

saw the painted veil 2 days ago.
What an awesome movie that is.
- nothing happens and it stayes interesting.
-there is always a tension of you dont know what is going to happen
-the acting is so very well done
-they have eye for the time it happens: 1925. like edward norton knocks but doesnt open the door before naomi watts says: come in

its about bacterioligist edward norton thats marries naomi watts and they go to china. She cheats on him and he finds out. Out of revenge he volenteers to go to a cholera infested town and she HAS to go with him.

i love this movie

i saw it as well and i can only agree with everything you say. but i think what really puts some crown onto the story is when naomi watts is there in town and when she sees that guy again.. i love her reaction.. its none of these oh-it-has-to-be-a-happy-end-somehow stories

and i think it is cool that edward stays so cool under all this...he never breaks one drop of sweat or looses his sense of dignity...

Yesterday i saw blackbook...
i thought it was very wel acted...and the atmosphere was completely convincing...it was asif we really rewinded a few years....

the thing i did think was a bit wrong was the series of events following each other so fast....
and typically paul verhoeven to put a few blunt and humiliating scenes in aswell as the nudity that wasnt kept to a minimum either...

i have seen blackbook at the same time and i liked it.. also the nudity and cruel scenes i did not mind.. i think they somewhat reflect what happened back then.. above all the randomness and how fast things could change.. so i think it's not a bad thing that these events follow each other so fast..

anyways i watched clockwork orange today..
and i have sworn to myself that i will never watch a movie directed by stanley kubrick again..
i dunno.. for some reason i hate his productions.. maybe the guy has the asperger-syndrom or is some real autist... anyways yes, he manages to show moods and strange situations, but if he would do that within some content it would be a big bit nicer.. i was close to turning the movie off in between..
now i think that that is just stanley kubrick and his way of putting art into a movie..
it's just that i myself simply can't appreciate that at all..
