Straight black metal bands I like:
Satyricon Amon Amarth Emperor Burzum Rotting Christ Marduk Darkthrone Venom Sepultura
In all honesty though, I usually prefer bands that combine black metal with something else and then make a style from that. Bands like:
Cradle of Filth SuidAkrA Dimmu Borgir Enslavement of Beauty Ensoph
Just straight black metal starts to sound too much a like to me, after awhile. It all blends together. Probably the shitty production.
And, as for "Nymphetamine", I own it. Personally, I'm not that impressed with it. A lot of the songs on it are good, no doubt, but overall, I prefer just about every preceeding album to this. I think they might have taken the scaling back of the symphonic portions a little too far.

Ethereal Nemesis Eh....my favorite black metal band would have to be Darkthrone....got most of their cd's.....Love listening to "Blaze......" I actually emailed Nocturno once and got a reply....which was pretty cool...so I have alot of respect for the guy. Anyway... I work in a rock magazine and take interviews with some gothic and black metal bands (not only those surely smile ), and you know, when I have to make an email interview, everytime I come to conclusion that black metal musicians are all very nice people, cause they don't only answer the questions, the write nice mails and are very polite and so on... I never thought it is so before I started working there.

thrashmetaljunkie i found some christian black metal bleedience admonish (i think) yeti zao (i think) zao is Christian thrash metal. i like them though. i found a couple of Christian black metal bands, they're not the best though. Sorrowstorm, Frost like Ashes, and Evroklidon. BUT i did find this sweet Christian Scandinavian Folk Black Metal band called Holy Blood. who would've thought there would be Black Metal about PRAISING God? crazy crazy. i recently bought 4 Dimmu Borgir CDs: Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia, Enthrone Darkness Triumphant, Godless Savage Endeavor, Death Cult Armaggeddon, and i always forget the name of the last one. but anyways, Dimmu fans are always telling me that thier new stuff isnt that great, and the old stuff is AMAZING. honestly, i think otherwise, thier old stuff is good, but not MINDBLOWING, but PEM, and DCA made my head explode in awe. maybe im weird... maybe i have a strange taste in black metal... i dunno. all i know for sure, is that Puritania, Kings of the Carnival Creation, Indoctrition, Allehelgens Dod I Helveds Rike, Vredysbyrd, and Progenies of the Great Apocalypse are some of the most beautiful songs ive ever heard. if anyone is pissed at me for my views, maybe this will make you feel a little better about me-- Old Man's Child owns your FACE

Darkfist007 Rotting Christ is good. Khronos is a great album. 3nodding Damn straight. Need more Rotting Christ fans, they just kick a**. Aegiss everytime I come to conclusion that black metal musicians are all very nice people, cause they don't only answer the questions, the write nice mails and are very polite and so on... I never thought it is so before I started working there. I would agree, I don't know any bands personally or do interviews, but black metallers generally seem to be very nice people. Not swarming in their pride/success. I_N_F_L_A_M_E_S - I agree. Their earliest stuff sucks a**, the older stuff is good, the newer is not as great. Like, EDT and PEM are sick as. DCA was good. So it really makes me wonder whats in store for Dimmu.

Hem Kahn TheGreatSephiroth Hem Kahn Satanic rituals? You do know what satanism is right? confused Possibly....wierd s**t... rolleyes Just that, it has nothing to do with Satan in the slightest........you know that right? xd sweatdrop Anyway, to stay on topic slightly......Sabbat and Sigh are both great Black Metal bands. scream although its way off topic AAHHHGGGG!!!! Satanism has to do with satan Just because The Most well known form is that of Atheistic satanism Created By LaVey, does not mean it is the only form of satanism. Their is Theistic Satanism. talk2hand

^ to place my thoughts in, Satanism does DEAL with satan, but it doesn't involve worshipping satan...
anyway...i'm still not HUGELY into the black metal scene, but i do listen to a bit...(if any of this is not black metal, pardon me)
Ulver Behemoth (early) Naer Mataron Nokturnal Mortum Satyricon Tvangeste
some others, but those are the ones i tend to listen to most often (especially Tvangeste and Behemoth)

Marduk is black metal .. just kind of boring after a while. But damn, they have a pretty high energy live concert going on. At least Marduk Live In Paris was, that ******** ruled.
I have no problem with LaVeyian Satanism, I think it's wonderful. I don't practise their beliefs or anything though .. but I have read a major portion of LaVey's Satanic Bible.
s**t I've been getting into Old Man's Child lately. It's quite a hybrid of death and black however, I mean, it could be considered either.
