Oowww... My ******** stomach feels like it is trying to eat itself or something. >_< I'm hungry but I kind of feel like my tummy might reject food right now, it's like stabby pains in my side that won't friggin' go away. >_<

Why are they making an American remake of Battle Royale? We all know that it's going to be dumbed-down and sanitized with the message replaced by gratuitous violence and sex.

Psychosis Layra-chan Why are they making an American remake of Battle Royale? We all know that it's going to be dumbed-down and sanitized with the message replaced by gratuitous violence and sex. It was actually quite bad and a very loose interpretation of the awesome novel, but America does have a tendecy to make things worse.

I'm just worried because there already is a lot of violence (not much sex, though) and while America does like violence, it's still going to edit out the good violence and put in bad violence, while completely ignoring the movie's pacifistic, abandonment-of-familial-security and collapse-of-civilised-society message. If anything, it would send the entirely wrong message here in America: kill (or rat out) each other for your martial-law controlled country. While some might see it as: oh, this is bad, no more ratting out on each other, others are definitely going to see it as weeding out the bad elements, with a couple necessary sacrifices along the way.

There are just some movies like that for me (like Underworld, which sucked, but I loved it). The novel was brilliant, and the movie didn't capture all of it, but I still like the movie. It changed things, gave definate faces to some of the characters. There were forgotten plot lines and changed lines, but I liked what they did with it. American remakes... *sigh*

So first night into the city and it's time to get my drink on, start at home with some rum and coke and then head out to see our friend Georgia's new place and have some beer there, now it's time to head out to Ref's for a good 'ol gay drunken time. Now drinks are 2$ here, so it's really easy to get really drunk, and I was pretty much really drunk and having a blast dancing my tits off, when some gay guy offers to buy me a drink because he likes my style... okay, he likes my style, thats cool, free beer? That's even cooler! But I'm pretty sure that was the beer that broke the camels back.. wait no, twisted my ankle. Haha, I ******** danced the wrong way and rolled my ankle, and if that didn't screw it up, I'm pretty sure walking on it for the next two hours certainly did.
Oh alcohol, how you mask pain so well... So anyway, Saturday comes around and I can't walk, yeah... I actually had to be carried up and down the stairs, had to call in sick for work. Damn I miss mobility. I can kind of walk now, but I'm still pretty gimped up. Oh well, I guess it wasn't so bad, instead of going to work I stayed at home with Alex and got high all day. Still, I'd like to be able to walk, not hobble. xD
