*he staggered along the tattered path, the only way he could tell he was on it at times was by the colour of the grass, the lighter it was the more it had been trodden on. because of this josh knew no orc had passed through here in ages, he was most sure that he was running a trail parallel to theirs. the battle with the orcs today was an unexpected one, he hadnt counted on seeing them so soon, and he hadnt eaten until before then. he decided to rest and satiate his hunger, he picked a stone to sit on and rummaged through his bag, past the arrows to find some dry bread, he idly chewed on it, keeping his sense alert*

Ranae walked leisurly along a small path, her seeing cane making small tapping noises in the soft untrodden dirt. She slowed to a stop, frowning in concentration. She heard something up ahead munching on something, sitting by the sound of it, but she didnt know who or what it was. She gripped her cane tightly and continued on, ready to draw her sword at any given moment.
(( what she hears is you, josh hehe..and i made a change to my character since the last time we met. Shes blind now.))

She remembered what Lin had told her about having to drink blood as least once a week. However, since she was just turned she'd end up needing more. Her brilliant gold eyes flashed, almost dangerously, as she went along her way, knowing she needed to feed soon. At that moment she wished Lin was with her to guide her through the whole process, but she had left him back at the cave. She hands were starting to tremble as she looked around, becoming desperate as she went on her way through the forest.

((always an honour m'lady)) *his ears picked up a tapping noise, it was coming closer and closer, josh had never really heard this before, but he guessed it was made from some wooden ornament, in any case he didnt like the idea of someone near him not making themselves properly known. he put the bread into his bag and waited listening to the sound, he drew his rapier slowly, and crept into the shadows*

She noted that her previously keen Elven senses had become sharper now, due to the fact that she was a vampire now. As she walked along the paths of the forest very quietly, her nose picked up the strong scents of two humans. She felt her stomach lurch as her hands became clammy and she continued walking, her eyes darting around, viewing her surroundings. She pulled her cloak's black hood up to cover her red hair and went on as she ran her tongue on the point of her teeth. It was feeding time.

Ranaes eyes narrowed and she smirked. Whatever it was, it couldnt get away from her that easily. Her ears pricked with alertness as she heard the faint noise of leaves brushing against fabric. So it had chosen to hide. She listened intently as the wind blew in the trees, almost making them visible to her. She could detect every tree, every branch, every twig. She silently set down her cane and drew a throwing knive from her shirt. Stepping slowly, she edged to the trees and leapt up on a branch, listening sharply for every move her hostile onlooker would make.

*that was all it had taken, the sound of something on a branch, he couldnt tell what but he wasnt taking any chances, ever since he had gone from his elven home, all he had come across were the silent assassin type, so he made no attempt to be silent as the person who was near him probably had him cornered all ready. josh stepped into the open sheathing his rapier loudly, in a fluid motion he unshouldered his bow and strung an arrow then aimed it at the branch he thought he had heard move* "i have not time for games, u are either an enemy or a passer, show urself" *it was stupidity to do this, but he was tired and anxious, he meant what he said*

Her vampiric speed, agility, and strength made her almost invincible, however, she was not quite to the level that Lin was. She stopped in her tracks and she bent her knees and pushed off the ground, jumping, and landing on a firm tree branch. From there she followed her senses, until she was practically above the two she smelt. She waited patiently, but she wouldnt be able to wait for too long because of her need for blood.

Her smirk dissapeared as she heard the creak of a bow being drawn. She had heard that voice before, but she didnt know where. Ranae had been out on her own long enough not to trust any old passer by. She had no way of knowing wether or not he would kill her on sight if she revealed herself. She adjusted her position on the branch, ready to leap to another at any moment. With one gust of wind to shape the trees for her, she already knew this area like the palm of her hand. She assumed her already knew where she was, so she called out to him in a wary voice.
" So, stranger..exactly how good are you with that bow?"

*an enchanting voice hit him, he was puzzled for a moment as if he had heard the voice somewhere and he was racking his brains to find out where from. he had a mental block and couldnt b sure* "good enough to know that if you jumped to the branch of your left you have approximately a second before an arrow is in ur leg, but also good enough to know that if u should show yourself, there will be no need for blood shed" *he said this sincerely as fatigue was clearly setting in, he didnt want to fight and was sure if he did engage in combat he would be at a disadvantage*

She stayed exactly where she was, not making a noise. She new his disadvantage just as well as he did. She quickly hid away her knife and slowly drew phobos from his sheith, being sure not to make a noise. She could never be sure with strangers such as this. She was in a tricky situation. With quick thinking, she jumped down from her branch in the trees and as quick as a flash hid behind the trunk, her senses taking in every move he made and breath he took.

*now he didnt know if his mind had played a trick on him or if something had moved, he discarded it as his tiredness getting the better of him. he was becoming impatient now, his forearms were burning and veins were popping up from the amount of time he had kept his long bow drawn, a bead of sweat dropped and josh felt his finger slipping. he didnt want to kill an innocent if it was one, so his good nature took over and he aimed his bow at the floor, the arrows shot into the ground and stood upright. josh felt a fool for doing that, but it had put his conciouss at ease, the so called "devil" on his shoulder cursed at josh and told him to b more rutheless, but josh disregarded his sub concious and pulled his rapier once again. he shouldered his bow and held a defensive position as the wind blew in his face wavering his hair*

She breathed deeply, thinking fast. Frowning in concentration, she moved from behind the tree, holding her sword up at the ready. She had heard him remove his bow. It was situations like these when she most wished she had her sight. But instead her keen hearing was her only aid. She inched closer, her sword raised.
" Lower your weapon."

(( i hope u came out in the open there))
*a woman appeared in front of him out of the shadows of the trees, he recognised her as the woman that had pounced on him a few nights ago, he smiled a relieved smile and exhaled, but he was still trembling from holding the long bow too long, he did as the woman had said and pressed the rapier into the ground, and rested a hand on it* " it's... u "

She could sense his releif and decided that this man was not a threat to her. She sheithed her sword and shuffled closer. Without her seeing cane she had no way of knowing if an exposed root was waiting to trip her. She held a hand out in front of her as she inched forward, being carefull not to stumble and fall.
" Who are you?"
