After Alexia was ready for breakfast the two ladies made their way into the big dining room. The king wasn't attending breakfast today but Lucius was. He sat with some other gentlemen and engaged in conversation when he saw Alexia walk into the room.

She made sure that they sat furthest away from Lucius and she purposefully ignored him. She knew she was acting like a spoilt child, but if he was going to treat her like one, then she was going to behave like one.

Sophia chuckled a little at her reaction and as she sat down next to her, she softly pout her hand on her friend's. "Whatever you're doing, it's working", she said softly, then looked at Lucius.
He sat down with the men he was accompanied by, rather close to where the King was sitting. He turned his head to look at his wife and sighed, when he realised what she was doing to him.

"Oh darling, you shouldn't scare him away. I'm sure he is a lot better behaved than most of the gentlemen sitting at this table", she said with a huff and looked over at the Frenchman. She sure wouldn't treat him the way Alexia did. Just looking at him made her feel all tingly inside. There was something so special about him but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
Lucius took his gaze off his wife. He would not participate in her games. His decision was final and she could sulk all she wanted. The ship was going to leave the harbour with her on board. No question abou it.

"Then I'm afraid that you are wrong. He is not well behaved at all. He's very headstrong and stubborn because he's used to getting his own way." She poked and prodded at the food on her plate. She was still not happy about his decision and was going to fight it all she could.

The young lady chuckled a little and shook her head. "Well, I can see why you two clash", she said softly, insinuating that Alexia was very headstrong and stubborn, too. She sipped on her tea and placed another sneaky look on the Frenchman.

Sophia shook her head at her friend's words and placed the teacup she was holding back on the saucer. "I do not appreciate the words you are using but I do understand what you are trying to say. Why are you so angry at him?", she asked her words but a bare whisper.
