Anyhoo, I don't get why Archie doesn't just cast a few Leyline anchors oozing of his signature whenever he goes out, as the SG is tracking not him, but convergences in the magic stream.

Because we need our field operatives to be at full capacity. Anchoring that much energy takes... a great deal of energy. That's why I'm hoping to develop some kind of system to simply shut off the connection and turn it back on at will, thereby allowing him to not only move without showing up on the grid, but have immediate access to his full powers when needed. ninja

Sure then. If there's anything you want me to pick up from the SG that might help, let me know. I think I can coninvce the techs to give me stuff with little more than the "boy his tone is reassuring" trick.

Oh, that sounds lke what I was thinking of~ I'd propose some ideas but I don't know anything about leyline anchors ._.

Thad is right, though, they drain a lot from an elemental castor.
If Ren was here, he might be able to use that trick efficiently. He seems more like the type to project an image of himself onto a leyline conjuncture.
I also still think that the SG might notice a lack of Arch's signal, or a bubble instead of an intersection. What about using a leyline connection from a convergence outside the atmosphere or coming through the earth, that way they either are reading an outer-space annomaly or Arch on the other side of the world? It might cause his Fire to go into Magma or Starfire, but it would through the SG off.

I don't think we need to worry to much about them noticing the lack of his signal. He doesn't show up on the grid as long as he's in the Base, either. And his lab has even better shielding, hence his current "house arrest". But I'm certainly open to exploring other avenues. ninja

Why don't we just make Archy too expensive to persue?
Let him to his business with proper us escort, and if they come for him, cause a level of distruction such as to loose their taste for battle?

Oh, my sweet Geemers. You know, I think I almost kinda agree with him.
Shouldn't that be causing alarm sirens to go off or something?

Pfft. I'm not doing that. I have my own work to do. Besides, if they eventually "lost their taste for battle" they would still know exactly where he is at all times when he isn't in the base. Even if they don't attack, they'd be able to watch him I don't like them having that edge on us. And what use is an operative that can't move about unhindered? Of course, once we sort out how to get him off the radar, you'll probably accompany him in the field, anyway. Seeing as your little team always works out so well and all. ninja

8:30 am.
Why do I keep waking up before noon? I should kill something. ... Maybe I'll just be obnoxiously cute and annoying instead. Kills brains and leaves the bodies to suffer. ^_^
