The mug vanished in minutes, easily devoided of all coffeeish interior. "Sadly, neither of us can escape it quite yet." Questioning the bottom of the mug, he refilled it after the serving of much bacon, toast, eggs, and such were passed around to all present. Always had to plan ahead with these folks. "'Sardine' thinks it wont be too much trouble to keep a day-care going. Im sure Eclipse would LOVE to be mauled... play with all of the children." Snickering he sat down next to Ecara and put some real food in front of her. "Dont you want to stay healthy? Its because we didnt eat right when we were your age that we have to get better sometimes. Nailah, that goes for you too. Youre going to smother the poor boy in cheese cake." More vitamin enriched food graced the table.

The elf's song became a whisper as he closed on the kitchen, he looked at the doorway confused... He wanted to go in, but he was still weary about being around so many people at once... He reached his mind in, and flet the strongest feelings, Aurahkah and Nailah...
His mind briefly touched Ecara's, and he smiled. He really wanted to go into that room, and talk to them, but he felt... "I should wait." He turned from the kitchen and walked to the fireplace, and sat before the mantle. He focused his thoughts on the embers, and started to stack them in a column, trying to gather his strength. "You wouldn't be so shy if you weren't so tired."
He smiled as the column became two, this little exxercise increased his sensitivity. He began to continue singing as he was before, loud enough for Nelphean to hear his own voice, and remember the prison where he invented it, to comfort Rakka.

She blinked and looked to Saradin. "Is that why Saradin Phoenix gets sick?" she pushed the half finger picked apart cheese cake off to the side and then proceeded to finger pick at the plate Saradin had provided her with. She obviously enjoyed it because she wasn't pushing it away.
"Sure Eclipse loves the little ones pulling at him. "Aura grabbed her mug again, taking another drink of it. It really did taste horrible. She blinked...why was she thinking about her coffee so hard? Whoa thinking too hard. What was left in her mug was promptly fed to the sink along with the mug itself. And what was this, separation anxiety? She shook her head. "Well that would work, Eclipse staying in there with the children. And we could knock down a wall between two rooms, as you dais we have the space. But that begs one question. Who am I to sleep with, you know I have nightmares if I sleep alone." Her gaze momentarily went to Saradin. Of course she wasn't about to invade his sleeping space on a nightly basis without his say so on the matter. "But overall the nursery sounds like a good idea. Let's them socialize too."

Niah looked at Saradin like she was offended. "I beg to differ Saradin. Cheesecake has good things too. Cream cheese...it's a dairy product. And it's not like he eats it every day."
Tyler looked at the bacon and eggs and toast for a moment and then tried it. Grinning happily he began to eat. "Mmm....thanks Mr...."
"Saradin. Mr. Saradin." Niah supplied.
"Mr. Saryden."
"No Tyler. Sa-ra-din." She said stressing the syllables.
He looked at her for a moment like she had lost her mind. "That's what I said. Mr. Saryden."
Niah took another drink of wine and shook her head. "I give up." She looked between Aura and Saradin for a moment and then figured she might as well say it. "Sleep with Saradin." she said calmly studying her glass. Aura had said it to her about Alex, now it was her turn.

"Maybe it is. So if you want to stay away from getting sick Ecara, youd best eat better foods then we did." He was picking at his meal slowly, eating it like he had just tasted his own cooking for the first time again, when the other topics came up. Nailah's particular bluntness made him laugh just a bit. "Normally I'd just say we'll figure out something, but Nailah seems a step ahead right now. I certainly dont mind sleeping beside you Aurah." Slowly he ate, now thinking much more about her than the taste of the food in front of him.

That statement was so familiar...because it was hers with a different name in it. She just laughed. Then turned her attention. "At least Tyler there knows the meaning of the word "I"." She then looked to Saradin. "Really now? So we can start our fighting on who's room we like better then already? How wonderful." Aura gave a laugh and shook her head.
"Ecara knows the meaning. I:Used to refer to oneself as speaker or writer." She smiled happily, twitched her ears and took to chewing on a piece of bacon.
"And you can't use it why now?" She sighed, not waiting for an answer to that and strolled over to the table, sitting in the chair next to Saradin, seeing as Ecara was in the one she usually used herself.

Tyler grinned. "Cara you are so smart."
Niah stayed back and just watched. She hopped up on the bar and studied her wine. "While we are on the subject of children, I'm teaching Tyler how to read and write. I know Ecara can read but can she write? I can teach her as well." Niah offered. Tyler got really excited. "Can Cara learn with me Miss Ara? Please?"
Niah laughed softly. He was such a sweet boy. He had been excited when he found out Cymarron was going to be learning as well. Her laughter quickly faded when she thought about that whole thing.

"Hmm. Who do I have the (dis/?)honor of meeting here in this strange manor?" A disheveled Wiedreich asked, marching into the kitchen. "What's all this...rubbish on the table", he asked, pointing disgustedly towards the food. "Where's a roast boar and an honest barrel of mead when you need it most?", he commented sarcastically.

"Seems weve got a class growing now as well." The food was gone and Saradinwas sitting and listening, absorbing everyone around him as usual. "I've no particular attachment to my room just yet. Nothing special in there except for Eclipse right now." Smiling he pat Ecara on the head and scratched her ears carefully. "So, Ecara. Just how much have you been reading lately? You know everything in the world already? Or do we have to wait a couple more days?"
His head tilted towards the new man in, and addressed him. "Good morning, I dont think we've met yet. My name is Saradin sir." Afterwards, Saradin looked over to Aurah for guidance as to whether he should know this person or not.

She looked to Tyler and smiled happily. "Ecara reads a lot." Then she looked to her mother. "Can Ecara learn to write with Tyler mommy?" And she managed that kicked puppy look. That is before Saradin's pet melted her look. "Ecara doesn't know everything, that's impossible."
"What is this a double team? And of course you can learn with Tyler. Just don't get her too frustrated, you have to be patient with her." A nod and she turned her attention to Saradin. "My room it is then, besides, I don't' see how you can trek up those stairs every night." No sooner had she said it but her attention was pulled to the stranger. "Why..hello there. Didn't know we had someone new in our walls." That familiar hostess facade took over in her. "My name is Aurahkah, I own the place. Pleased to meet you." A gesture to the wolf eared child beside Saradin. "And that is Ecara, my daughter."

Niah looked up to see the knight standing there. She nodded at him and said just as sarcastically "In the village my good man. And who might you be?"
Tyler saw the newcomer and tilted his head. "You should try it. It's really good." He grinned happily when he heard Ecara could learn wiht him.

"I...er...hello. I am Sir Joseph Rommel Konrad Wiedreich, the last knight of a fallen kingdom in feudal Germany. It seemed strange to me to just...come in here, but I had nowhere else to go. I've seen some strange things in the days of old, but this place is deserving of all my curiousity." He gave Ecara a frank smile, hoping not to scare the child. "Eh? Try what?"

Nailah laughed. "This place definitely is that." She jumped off the bar and walked over. Then she looked down at Tyler. "Come on sweetheart. You need a bath."
Tyler looked at him. "The food silly. It's good. Mr. Sarydin can cook like Miss Niah." Then he turned to Niah. "But Miss Niah...I don't want to take one yet."
She shook her head and said " Come on Tyler." Then she picked him up and walked to the kitchen door. Turning back she smiled at the stranger. "My name is Nailah but everyone calls me Niah. And this is Tyler. We're both pleased to meet you. I'm sorry everyone but he needs a bath."
Tyler grinned and said "Nice to meet ya." Then he began whining like most five year olds. "I want to walk Miss Niah. And I'm not dirty. How come I have to take a bath now?"
Niah sighed and put him down then grabbed his hand. "Because I said so. And you haven't had a bath in days little one. Plus if you take one now you can play with Ecara when you're finished."
Tyler looked at her. "Promise?"
"Of course. As long as it's okay with Aura."

She laughed as he seemed to trip over the beginning of his sentence. "Not expecting such a warm welcome? And it's quite alright that you just stepped in, I've come to expect it. And be prepared to see many odd things here...I guess Ecara would be your first glimpse at it." She raised a hand to brush hair from her eyes. "Quite a title there, got something shorter we can call you by?"
Ecara blinked dual colored eyes at him, twitching her wolfish ears at him. He was another new person that popped up. Attention momentarily diverted from her food she sniffed in his direction, trying to catch and catalog his scent. Her tail gave a swish behind her as she blinked at him again.
Her attention went to Niah who was bribing Tyler. "Of course you can play with Ecara, but you have to take that bath first."

I will take this from you.
Nelphean's head shot up, and he looked about he didn't see or feel the presence of the dark force... The elf extended his feelings farther away from him, and searched most of the manor quickly, noting only the inhabitants... He looked at the columns of embers, all sixteen of them, and he let them drop to the pit. He found himself standing, and he continued to search...
He followed his feelings, and walked towards the rear exit, but collected himself from the daze... Placing a hand on his brow, Nelphean sighed. This was going to be a long day...
