A planetarium would be really nice.
Being underground all the time really lowers my morale sometimes.

I become more likely to panic.

Yeah, Naruto is a stain on the very fabric of reality.

It seems ironic that Japan of all places could fail so spectacularly at presenting ninjas to the public. And have you seen One Piece? They failed at pirates, too!
Maybe they should stick with robots... and Cyborg Ninjas... and Space Pirates.

Is it just me, or was the world a much better place when Anime and Manga were fringe things, and only the good stuff would make it through. Like Cowboy Bebop, Gundam Wing, and Trigun to name a few.

Now that people know Japanese stuff will bring in the bucks, hell... the Manga section at Barnes and Noble dwarfs the entire graphic novel section.

Remember, kids: Don't let your friends like things that suck.
ninja
Well, maybe ninja and pirate were just lazy translation of some other words that could have been better translated as "angsty teenage random fighting styles show" and "friendship adventures on boats."
Or maybe they wrote the general concepts out in Japanese, used bablefish to translate it into English, then Russian and then back into Japanese and decided to go ahead and make them into shows.
Basically what I'm saying is that if you take out all of the words that have... pre-existing definitions that Naruto only kind of sucks and One Piece functions well enough so long as you aren't watching it in English (I know it's supposed to be goofing around most of the time but to choose those voice actors they must have wanted it to flop...) thought that might just be because I was so sick of the dues ex style plot of Naruto when I started watching it.

-and no, hyperwave transmissions became impossible about a decade ago when that giant existance alterring event thing happened- you know, the one where a relatively minor dimension folded in on itself and pulled some other one into it's place? When orcs walked around talking like snobby intellectuals for a few days until things levelled back out?
Oh well, fine, go ahead and don't remember it.

Dude... what are you talking about?

A decade ago? We built our Hyperwave Decoder back in the war of '99.
Alien technology.
The only reason we don't use it anymore is because we're the only ones who have it.
And we only have the decoder.
The transmitters were usually destroyed in the crashes or shortly thereafter when we started blowing things up.

Project MOB Progress Notes
Concept Stage 1: Metals testing
After retrieving my very old and somewhat dusty notes on metallurgy, work began on the creation of a multi-purpose projectile for use in mass conscription situations. The metals iron and silver are to be the current base components of the projectile until more tests can be run to show the effectiveness of alloys like steel against monsters that traditionally fear iron.

Concept Stage 2: Preliminary metal alloy findings
According to current test data, steel seems to have about the same effect as iron. This is good news since I prefer working with steel. Also, Steel with help give the projectiles more durability that will be lost when mixed with a softer metal like silver.

Concept Stage 3: Projectile device construction
At this time, the means of delivering the payload is a toss up between small electromagnetic devices and simple combustion weaponry. I like the idea of electromagnetic devices since they can be sealed to work underwater and make less noise. Then again, since these weapons will be primarily used to arm an angry mob, combustion weapons may serve to lower monster moral with all that noise and such. Formally request design decision from Command as to which route would be preferable.

Field Data
Metal alloy works passably of the following:
(Note: Quantity of projectile needed varies)
Any modern humanoid (Elf, Dwarf, Orc, Goblin, Kobold.....)
Werewolf
Fairy
Vampire (Not a permanent solution at this time)
Dragon (Not a quick solution at this time)
Zombie
Mummy (Not a permanent solution at this time)
Demon (Not a permanent solution at this time)
Assorted non-unique meat based life forms
Skeletons

Metal alloy failed testing on the following:
Ghosts sweatdrop
Shades
Monsters that can assume non-corporeal forms

Other:
Formally request from Department of Magic, a way to mass enchant these things with a delayed explosive and/or the ability to effect non-corporeal forms of unlife.
Formally request from the Department of Holy Magics, a way in which to mass bless these items for more effective use against unholy targets.
Formally request from Jon-OH of the Combat Proper, dinner and a movie.

Can't tell from the poster. But if said poster is to believed, apparently Inara runs around with a 9 millimeter, and that's certainly new to me.

Same old same old.

I remember back in the middle ages, when I just a bad bedtime story told to baby Monsters, and sometimes they'd be like, "You're just trying to scare me! Al Ramaadi Ghul doesn't really exist." and then actually fight me.

Now, with the information superhighway, monsters see me, panic and try to run away. They don't even try anymore. Hell, a vampire actually begged me for mercy last night. As if I wasn't a living embodiment of God's Wrath.

It just kind-of grates on a guy, you know?

Banshi: Keep up the good work.

Suggestions:

1) Go with regular, cartridge packed firearms. We already have the equipment to produce them en masse and they're simpler to design. Recommend you play with the shapes of the rounds to get optimal punching power through armor, like say... scales.

2) You'll probably find it helpful to include both a chemical cocktail and a small yield electrical device in the rounds, probably 1 in 3 rounds should be so equipped. As a chemical cocktail, you're looking for things that will weaken prominent monsters or otherwise drive them off. Things like garlic, mint, horse urine and habanero peppers.

Ionization is the best, non-magical anti-non-corporeal-fat-thing tool science has at it's disposal. Even a small charge will disrupt and scatter ectoplasm, and against more solid opponents, a little shock couldn't hurt. If neccessary to install the charge, sacrificing damage ratio would be acceptable in the name of versatility. That also frees up Archmage from having to enchant stuff, since it's a very consuming process, and he has an awful lot of work on his plate.

3) In the lab, past door 32, you'll find a sealed blastdoor. The holy water pool is back there, and that solves your blessing issue. I'll leave the key in your mailbox.
