Hmmm......it looks like I need an ammunition that is made of metal, packs a serious punch, and can be explosive with fire. I wonder if an iron/steel alloy, explosive projectile, maybe in the shape of a crossbow bolt would work. I'd have to find a way to magically enchant/bless the vast number that we would need.....and the weapon itself......I wonder if I could make use of a magnetic field to launch the bolt......hmmmmm...... *Scribbles some notes*

why not use a silver/steel composit? might make it easier to bless given a number of monsters allergy to silver.

Hoi Banshi.
I couldn't help but hear you say something about enchantments.
...
Oh, by the way, congratulations on your promotion.

Archmage Hoi Banshi. I couldn't help but hear you say something about enchantments. ... Oh, by the way, congratulations on your promotion. Yes, yes I did, and thankies. ^_^ Jon-OH why not use a silver/steel composit? might make it easier to bless given a number of monsters allergy to silver. That's what I was going for with the silver/iron alloy. I haven't tested yet to see if a monster's weakness to the banality of iron is transferred over to metals like steel, even though steel is essentially a more purified iron. EDIT...oh now I see the confussion. Banshi typeod up there and wrote iron/steel alloy insead of iron/silver alloy.....

Don't want to be picky, but just wanted to toss out there that I don't know if "purified" is exactly the right word. Steel is more "reinforced." It's basically iron with carbon atoms melted into its molecular structure to make it more resistant to breakage.

Good point, and still worth testing to see if the addition of Carbon reduces the banality of iron to fae and other such creatures.

The silver/steel idea still sounds easier.

Actually, and I know this is going to sound a bit off the wall, would it be possible to fill the bolts with a liquid core of blessed nitroglycerin? I was hoping for a fiery explosion of sorts and water just isn't as unstable as I'd like it to be. ^_^

Well, I'm sure we'll find out. Ever since this break with the Shadow Government, I've been excited. Maybe we'll actually get to do something about the monsters terrorizing the region without now that we won't have to spend two weeks discussing each attack with the beurocracy before executing it.

I'll have some preliminary test rounds ready in a week. I'll need full field data on the effectiveness of the ammunition.
So, who's up for testing Banshi's new toys? ^_^ heart
