That's mostly 'cause I haven't opened the forum yet. whee
I didn't want someone posting there before it's "ready for business" as it were.

Both. I hate to use this analogy, but think of Wild Wild West.....now throw in some magic, lots of fear mongering monsters, and several groups of gun-toting heroes out to set the world straight for people like you and me. ^_^

Just for the record, I was one of those gun-toting heroes.
Hell on wheels with my revolver. You'd better believe it.

I believe it. ^_^ What I like best about the Weird West is that the groups "mages" use playing cards to cast their spells. The game system actually requires the dealing out of poker hands to accomplish magic. ^_^

My favorite monsters though were the Hangin' Judges. They floated along the Trail of Sorrows or something like that and made up one arbitrary rule a day. Anyone who broke that rule that they ran into was judged guilty and sentenced to death by hanging.....or bullet poisoning if they resisted too much. Either way, the victims' bodies were found the next day hung from posts along the Trail. You could fill the Judge with bullets all night long if you wanted too, but the only way to permanently kill them was to have them hung by the hands of a lawman. ^_^

That seems like it'd be mildly inconvenient for us. What with us acting outside the law and all that.

Yeah, but I'm sure between me and the boys over in Magi-ops, we could find a way to at least "trap" them or something. Then they could be turned over to the Texas Rangers or someone else with a killing jurisdiction and let things work themselves out form there. ^_^

*Rummages through her notes on monster weaknesses* .........oh yeah, my old poetry notes.....silly me, only half paying attention in class. ^_^
By fire and acid Green trolls are slain, and
Blessed crossbow bolts, Are Rakshasa's bane
From magical cold, Flesh golems feel slow
But wield no lightning if you fear their blows
From Fire, Acid, cold have demons no fear
But their flesh is weak When cold iron is near
The hellcat is hid'n in brightest of light
illumined by dark they're soon put to flight
Just seeing a mummy Gives terrible fright
Use magic or fire if one you would fight.
Fighting clay golems with swords is to fail
But those who enchant their hammers prevail
The touch of a wraith drains health from a horse
So smite them quickly with magical force
Skeletons are tough, They sure make a clammor
When dealing with one, You'd best use a hammer.
When the Werewolf bites, To his path one shall be led
If his hunger strikes, With silver he should be fed
Beware the vampire's eyes, Lest you be charmed
A stake through the heart, He will remain embalmed
