QUESTION:
if you haven't slept, the meal you eat at 5:00 AM... is it breakfast or dinner?
Depends on two things: who you ask, and what the meal consists of.
Some people say that, no matter what time you get up, the first meal of the day that you eat is breakfast (sleep until noon, wake up, eat breakfast). Other people say that what meal you eat has to do with what time the meal took place (sleep until noon, wake up, eat lunch).
Also, there are some people who refuse to eat breakfast food at any time other than breakfast. For example, we recently had a Presidential Breafast here at school where the SMS president served everyone free breakfast...at 10:00 at night.
Then there's the technical aspect. Breakfast is supposed to be the meal in which a person breaks his or her fast that happened while they slept. However, when a person doesn't sleep, this causes a dilemma.
Personally, I'd go with calling your 5:00 AM meal breafast because of the time of day.
