Makoto looked to him out the corner of her eye. "No promises there, I never know what to expect when she's angry." She whispered back before knocking on the door gently.

Hazedeth swallowed hard as Makoto opened the door and wlaked in. This was the first time in his life that he was ever truly nervous.

Makoto gripped Haze's hand tightly in her own and watched as her mother turned to look at them from a wooden chair she was seated on. Her expression was stern and Makoto turned her gaze away and stuttered as she spoke. "Sorry to bother you.....but um, we wanted to tell you something." Her mom raised an eyebrow giving Haze a questionable gaze. "...Go on."

Haze cleared his throught. "Uh, Mrs. Kono..." he stuttered. "What we're trying to sya is that...uh, we're..." He nervously scratched the back of his head and looked at Makoto. "Uh Makoto...how would you word it?"

Makoto took in a breath and sighed. "Me and Haze are together.....and I'm pregnant." She said very bluntly and she became nervous immediately after she said so. Her mother looked at them both dumbfounded for a moment before turning back around in the chair she was in. "And? I can't exactly do anything about it, now that its done."

"Well...we thought it would be best to tel you now, then to find oout in acouple of weeks." Haze said. "And I know you stil hurt from losing your loved ones, but you should at least be happy that you're gaining a new family member."

Makoto lowered her head and tightened her grip on Haze's hand. "We should go." She whispered.

Makoto followed him at his heels almost, nervous, hoping her mother wouldn't say anything else.

Haze sat dow with a heavy sigh. "Well that could have gon better..." he said. "But at least there wasn't a huge tantrum."

Makoto breathed a sigh of relief once Haze sat down. "Probably because she still referred to you as a guest, she would only blow up when its just me and her."

Makoto walked over behind where Haze was sitting and lean against the back of the chair. "Yea, but that's just the way things end up."
