Zhai shook her head slightly, not letting Aerie go. She knew that something about Kain had happened to her in the Abyss. If she was ever going to get out of the memories she was in known she would do better staying away from his touch at least till she came back from her thoughts. Just as they reached the door leading from the chamber Jarlaxel appeared, holding a scroll out. he threw it to Liriel and met Zhai's eyes, then Lucian's and he smirked. "I decided, that the kiss Zhai gave me deserved two scrolls." He said, then disappeared again.

Liriel caught the scroll and quickly opened it. She spoke the words on it, enacting the spell it carried and soon all them were in a cave, the sun just disappearing over the horizon.

Liriel giggled like she was 5 again and ran to Vincent, wrapping her small arms around his neck and hugging him. "Vincent!" She exclaimed, scratching his head.

Once the air brushed across her face she opened her eyes and say Zhai carrying her. She put her hand on Zhai's arm and Zhai let her down. Aerie walked ahead of them a little, looking around. It'd been six years since she'd seen anything green, anything that deserved to live as the grass, trees, and birds did. As everything up here did. For the first time she smiled, thinking she was finally out of Ertu's clutches.

Zhai watched her, standing next to Lucian. She smiled, glad they were all together again. She looked over at Lucian and took his hand.

Aerie laughed and ran to Kain, wrapping her arms around him. "I've missed you so much." She said

Zhai smiled. "Yea. She's finally gone. Now my kin will hopefully be in so much chaos they'll put me on hold for a few decades." She said, knowing that still wasn't very long to the drow, or any elf.

Liriel smiled and pulled a piece of dried meat from her pouch on her belt and gave it to him, laughing

Liriel laughed and pet Vincent on the head. "Let's go." She said, standing up and runninginto the trees, knowing Vincent would follow.

Zhai smiled and hugged him. "Why?" She asked

Aerie nodded. "How long has it been?" She asked. She'd lost trac of time in there.

Zhai closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. Yes, she wanted more, but she still could give herself to him. She couldn't give him what they both wanted most. She couldn't until she was away from Lloth's grip. "No." She said, her eyes looking down.

Aerie shuddered. Six years in the Abyss. Six year being tortured by Errtu. She hugged her self closer to Kain, burying her face in his chest and wished the memories to stay back.

Zhai silently beat her self as he stepped back. She stepped to hi and put her hands on his cheeks and looked into his eyes. "Very soon," She said, "Very soon we'll be back to how we used to be. Very soon I won't hold anything back from you, very soon you can have every piece of me I have to give."

Liriel giggled and ran through the trees with Vincent, she stopped when the reached the edge of the forest, looking at the river.

Aerie shook her head. She couldn't cry even if she wanted to. Her tear had stopped flowing after the first few months in the Abyss. No, she couldn't cry, she just needed his strength to help her keep the memories at bay.

Liriel giggled and ran into the river.

Zhai kissed him softly and nodded "I promise." She whispered into his ear.

Aerie looked up at him, her once sparkling blue eyes were now dull like the fire that had been inside had been extinguished, were visible through her auburn, ratted, hair. The braids and feathers that had once been in it were gone, and so were her wings, along with her dignity and pride. She'd been though worse than hell and now she was back. But she wasn't the same and would probably never be the same. But something sparked in her blue eyes, hope maybe, or love. What ever it was it was something good. When she looked up at him she leaned closer and wrapped her arms around his neck, like she used to do, and gazed into his eyes.

Liriel laughed and swam over to him, wrapping her smal arms around his neck and kissing him on his beg wet head. "Ur so funny V." She said.

Zhai smiled and lay her head on his shoulder, her arms around his neck. "Thank you." She said, closing her eyes.

Aerie's arms tightened around him and she kissed him back, deepening the kiss and steeping closer to him so that their bodies touched.
