How did you stop a soul from ripping itself apart...not even she knew the answer to that question. And when a soul came apart...did that mean that it died and the body went with it? She shook her head too many questions. "That's not fair to either him, or you for that matter." Raising her hand she laid it to his cheek, wiping at the tear trail there. It explained why he had been so tired lately. "There has to be a way...I mean...it would be rather cruel of the angels to give him back his life...onlu to make him live this way. Everything can be healed, even souls."

"He didnt accept heaven's grace. Still clinging to his self torment, he turned away salvation. The only other choice they had was to leave him there." By then he closed his eyes with dignity and raised his hand to push hers away slowly with the back of his. "He's the only one that can win it. I cant take control everytime the body needs sleep, he has to go to the breaking point before I step in. Otherwise, he'll never beat it."

Nelphean placed a hand on Ecara's head, and scratched her ears, he didn't answer her questions, he just sat and paid attetnion to the child, trying to keep her mind occupied.

"You're saying this has to run its course, that he has to hit rock bottom before he can start climbing up from the pit?" Now why did she ask that? Stupid question, of course he did. Just like her, she needed to slam that bottom but she held on to the edge with one hand, refusing to let go. "In other words...give him his sleep to let him suffer to let him win. Why are the solutions always so cruel..." Letting him push her hand away she dropped it back into her lap.
Ecara nuzzled his hand, the attention being given to her practically robbing her mind of what she had been thinking. She couldn't help it. It always happened that way...not that she really minded.

"I dont know if he can win though." Those were the last words of this person, before his body fell backward and limp, then his eyes openned again, deep blue. The gasped and pulled upright, almost clawing at his bedsheets as if they were the things that tried to harm him. It continued for just a couple seconds before he realized where he was and managed to fixate his eyes on Aurah. "W-what?"

Didn't know if he could win? Saradin always seemed to beat the odds...it was a frightening thing to think that he couldn't win. Instantly as on Saradin left and the other came about she threw a comforting smile to him, a hand coming to rest on his shoulder. "You're alright...you were having a nightmare..."

"Your mother had a twin Named Rakka. Rakka was my friend. She looks just like you, but less cute." Nelphean smiled, "I sometimes forget that your mother's name isn't Rakka, so don't get confused. Has your mother told you about my friend Rakka?" The elf continued to shower love onto the creature, some traits of Nelphean remained, while others died in that pit. Apparently, Nelphean still held his fancination with children, never growing up himself, mostly.

"Mommy has a twin?" Among his petting she leaned herself against him, letting him support her body weight as she just enjoyed the affection, ears partially lowered in contentment. "Ecara hasn't....heard about Rakka..." Then one ear perked. "If...mommy has a twin....why isn't Rakka here?"

"Nightmare?" Saradin shuttered. "Nightmares dont take over your entire body, and it still feels real..." His arms withdrew around him to break the feeling of cold that lay over him. "Everything... Everything that could be wrong is, hearing the screams of agony of every last being that failed to find protection and knowing that they are a part of you..."

"Aurahkah had a twin named Rakka, she died on her way to visit here. She is here, but isn't. A lock of her hair rests above the fireplace mantle, just beyond your reach I guess." Nelphean continued to poor attention to the girl, somewaht aware that the emotions int the next room suddenly declined and seemed to be gone... "She opened my eyes to a world beyond chains and whips, and asked me to help her reach it. We managed to get to the end of the exit, but she could walk not further." Nelphean wasn't crying or frowning, the memoy seemed almost pleasent, as Rakka did die a free spirit.
"I brought part of her here, so she could finially be with her sister. In a home as wonderful as this." Nelphean smiled at the child, and tickled her chin slightly, "Have you come to terms yet with being called Princess, peach?"

"You basically know what happened to you then? Know what your soul tries to tell you?" She pulled her hand away and drew he knees up, resting her elbows on them. "You have to save yourself Saradin...before you lose yourself again."
A soft snort as he padded into the room, looking at the two sitting on the bed. "You both have to save yourselves. Saradin, you have to win a battle that no one really knows how to fight. And Aurahkah you have to win a battle with yourself and learn to let go of the walls you hold up. You two...I swear." He sat back on his haunches and gave a bark.
Ecara listened to him, absorbing his information like she did any other she was offered. Soaking it up for perhaps later use. "Like the ghosts? Here but not here?" She then lifted her head to look at Nelphean and gave him another strange look. "Silly. Ecara is not...a peach either..."

"A name has many meanings. Nelphean is my name, and it means... Well, I don't know really, but Nelphean defines the space that my body occupies. Brightsabre is another of my names, it describs how I use a magical sword that glows. Being called brightsbare acknowledges the fact that a part of who I am is being able to use the glowing light sword." Nelphean contined his affectionate hand guestures, "Another name for me is Shadow. Why do you think that is?" He asked the child.

"I dont know." He admitted defeatedly, as his clenched fists still shook but to less an extent. "I dont know anything, its frightening... I dont know what to save, or how. Damn it..." Slowly he sobered up and seemingly stared himself down as he turned towards a mirror. "I wont lose like this. But I cant fight it." One hand held his forehead now as he slumped back, "Im sorry to disturb you both like this. Aurah, are you feeling any better than before?"

Cymarron had watched, and listened. he was actually quite fascinated with the two spirits sharing the same body idea. reminded him of himself and the Beast. he remained silent while Aura and the other talked, and as she comforted the blue eyed one, then heard eclipse about Aura.
"Cymarron has a strange pack. full of selfdoubts and spiritual battles. We seem the most mental stable, and we are far from that in most opinions, being not one but many. we fit in well with this pack. How can we be of help to those around us?"

The multiple name thing was starting to make sense to her. "Are you like daddy? Daddy is called a shadow, because he is one." Then she started to think again. "So you can call...Ecara by different names, but she will still be Ecara?"
"Save your soul. How...we only know what we've been told. You have to give in to what haunts you, yet not lose to it. And what makes you think you can't fight it?"
Her look followed him as he flopped back. "You can't disturb those who are already disturbed. I'm no better and no worse off than before dear Saradin. And it's I that should apologize...like you...I just don't know what to do really."
