Jon-OH
Sho is correct.

And thus, the world ended.

Ya know, Thad has a laser...all we'd have to do is get another one and a chain.

Actually, now that I think about it, we'd also have to figure out some way to keep the laser on, since you have to press a button for it to work.

OK, I know as a rule of thumb, MSU members hate clones as a plot device. But what if the clone is instantly recognized as a clone? I saw that in some "New Adventures of Sherlock Homes" or something cartoon. They were all like, "Oh no Moriarity!!" and Sherlock, being Sherlock, says, "Oh no, that a clone, just shoot it." Is that acceptable?

it's always acceptable to shoot a clone. Or anyone who you suspect to be a clone. But really, even just bringing in a clone JUST so you can have a "Oh noes, that previously though dead villian is less dead than one thought, and then having an explanation FOR that less than dead" is stll pretty lame, even if you know it's a clone.

Because that's not how clones work, if you have a clone, and the clone is exactly the same as the original, in terms of personality, this assumes that personality, and moral leanings and such and so forth are genetic.

That and with the except of squlaaak jelly or the infernal magics of the HftFoMS (House for the Fall of Modern Society) mages-

err, not that either of those exist, I'm such a silly hyooman, always rambling on about things that I completely made up on my own fictionally and based on imagination.

in no way does Sho's quickly disclaming any real knowledge of the aformentioned organizations make me suspect that he made up the second half of his statements and not the first half as suggested by the second half.

I'm totally fooled.

Unless it behaves in the exact opposite manner of the original.
Of course, that is most often the case with clones created by duplication rays.

well, yes, but that goes without saying, I was assuming that he ment clones made in those big Super-Sience mansized tube things.

The "Mephanse" tubes generally require a full body scan of the specimen to check connective states in the brain and previous scar tissues so that it can emulate the developmental changes upon the base genetic personality. Meanwhile it gathers sufficient genetic information from shedding skin cells and perhaps a hair or two while the specimen was standing in the scanning recepticle.

There are some interesting things to be discoverred probing the mind of this meat sack- err, I mean, I found blueprints for one in a sack of meat and brains, y'know, like I'm always looking through.
