Getting somewhat used to her surroundings, Emiri began to speak up, as much as her confusion and fear could allow.
"Excuse me...Um, pardon me...Sir, can you...Do you know," she said, hoplessly trying to catch someones attention. Everyone she came up to merely continued walking, like she wasn't there. She assumed this was normal behavior for city people. Even Scyther had trouble getting the attention of the pokemon that were around.
Emiri sighed. Feeling a bit light headed at all the new surroundings, Emiri led her and Scyther to a bench next to a fountain in a fairly central area of the city. She sat down, Scyther next to her, and began to think, still looking around.

Emiri watched quietly as the city moved around her, leaving her in her own, lost little world. She looked back up at Scyther, still beyond greatful and content that he had followed her, and became permanately hers. She looked down at his Scythes. They were a bit scuffed, and had some dirt on them. Emiri took off her backpack, and set it next to her, taking out a soft cloth.
"Scyther, give me your scythes. Do you want me to polish them for you," she asked, looking up at him. He smiled, and handed her one of his scythes. Emiri began to polish it gently with the cloth.
"You know, I bet no one would even want to battle," she said.================================================== Pokemon

Still brushing her hair, Emiri continued to rant. She didn't seem like the kind that would, but she ranted every now and again to vent her feelings.
"No one cares that there's more to life than the big city. There's an entire world outside the city," she said, getting more into it. "You know, I bet half of these people don't even own a pokemon. They're too busy worrying about where they have to be, instead of living in the moment," Emiri said, now almost completely forgetting about where she was, and who she was supposed to be looking for. She finished brushing her hair, and put her brush back in her backpack. She felt better, now that she had ranted a bit. She looked up at Scyther.
"You're probably hungry after following Aku and I. Do you want something to eat," she asked him, quiet again. He looked down at her. "Scyther," he said thankfully in reply.================================================== Pokemon

Emiri opened her backpack, and began to dig through it. She came across Charmander's and Bulbasaur's pokeballs in a side pocket, and thought for a moment. Deciding against taking them out, she found the bag of poffins she had had out before, and some poke food that she had packed as well.
"Here you go Scyther," Emiri said, handing Scyther the food. He took it happily, and began eating it, cleverly using his scythes.
Emiri turned and began to close up her bag when something caught her eye. A small blue scarf was in her bag. She had packed that for her starter pokemon, wanting it to have a blue scarf or bandanna like her other close pokemon friends. Now that she had gotten Charmander, she had gotten so caught up in the excitement, Emiri forgot to give it to Charmander. Emiri took out the scarf, and thought.================================================== Pokemon

Charmander appeared, a soft smile on her face, as she looked around. Her smile faded a bit as she saw where she was. To her, the city was sure to be even bigger and more frightening. Charmander snapped back to attention as Emiri spoke.
"Charmander, meet Scyther. Scyther, this is Charmander," Emiri said, picking up Charmander to meet Scyther.
Scyther looked at Charmander and smiled. "Scyther scy," he said happily. Charmander looked up at him, and gave him an open mouthed smile, happy, Emiri was sure, to meet him. "Char char," she said.================================================== Pokemon

Scyther offered Charmander a poffin, and she took it happily, and began to eat it. She finished eating it, and turned to Emiri, as Emiri began to speak.
"Charmander, you noticed how Bulbasaur had that blue bandanna around his neck, and so does Scyther," Emiri said, picking up Charmander and setting her in her lap. Charmander nodded.
"Well, would you like one," Emiri asked, holding up the blue silk scarf for Charmander to see. Charmander nodded happily. "Charmander char," she said, gently touching the scarf with her small hand.
"Turn around, and I'll put it on for you," Emiri said, unfolding the scarf. Charmander turned around. Emiri put the scarf around Charmader's neck, and tied it in the back, in a bow. Charmander turned around, and looked around at it.
"Here," Emiri said, picking up Charmander, "look in the water." Emiri walked around the bench, and put Charmander next to the fountain to look at her reflection.================================================== Pokemon

"Alright," Emiri said. She packed up what was left, and put it back in her bag. Emiri looked down at Charmander in her lap, who was still admiring the bow around her neck.
"Charmander," Emiri said. Charmander turned around.
"I don't want anything to happen to you. I don't want you to get lost, so will you go back in your pokeball," Emiri asked, holding it out. Charmander nodded, and went inside with a smile. Emiri put the pokeball back in her bag, and closed it up. She looked around again, remembering where she was, and what she was doing.================================================== Pokemon

"Alright Scyther," Emiri said, standing up. "We have to find Aku. He has to be around here somewhere. I mean how big can this city be," she said, walking away from the bench. She looked around, slowly gaining confidence, trying to get a feel for where they were.
