I'm Free...Who (Tommy)

I'M FREE- I'm free,
And freedom tastes of reality,
I'm free-I'm free,
AN' I'm waiting for you to follow me.

If I told you what it takes
to reach the highest high,
You'd laugh and say 'nothing's that simple'
But you've been told many times before
Messiahs pointed to the door
And no one had the guts to leave the temple!

I'm free-I'm free
And freedom tastes of reality
I'm free-I'm free
And I'm waiting for you to follow me.

[Chorus:]

How can we follow?
How can we follow?

Wow I guess it has been about one month ago since I have logged in to my Gaia account! I had almost totally forgotten about it... I only just recalled it when I was just idly browsing my "favourites" link lists. sweatdrop

It it really seems like they are a whole lot of loyal Gaian around here because the post in the guild thread are all pretty recent! Well I guess I'll just hang on to my account for a while till I get absolutely bored of it and decide to leave for good. Then again I doubt that would happen... otherwise I would lose contact with quite a lot of wonderful members here! 3nodding

Oooo the last time I post is Feb 05 sweatdrop has been a very long time since i last stepped in...

I've been doing quite a lot of stuff on Gaia! Been busy doing polls and bumping around in the forums to gain more gold... It's actually a pretty slow and tedious task. I've also continued working on my Gaia journal... and that reminds me that I want to post a picture of my Gaia Home in the journal!!! sweatdrop Had almost forgotten to go so...

Okie I'm just posting something random here to chalk up some gold for my 1st post of the day... here's a tongue twister to get your tongue all twisted up whee Make sure you read it out loud... start slower when you 1st do it then pick up speed! whee~ have fun!

Mr. See owned a saw.
And Mr. Soar owned a seesaw.
Now See's saw sawed Soar's seesaw
Before Soar saw See,
Which made Soar sore.
Had Soar seen See's saw
Before See sawed Soar's seesaw,
See's saw would not have sawed
Soar's seesaw.
So See's saw sawed Soar's seesaw.
But it was sad to see Soar so sore
Just because See's saw sawed
Soar's seesaw!

Here's something interesting to share and also earn my gold wink It's about chocolate! heart

French women eat chocolate (about 12 pounds a year on average). They also eat bread (we fought a revolution over it!), another item on our watch list of offenders. But: French women don't get fat. In fact, here's another form of the French Paradox: Pretending such pleasures don't exist, or trying to eliminate them from your diet for an extended time, will probably lead to weight gain. The only long-term effect of deprivation is the yo-yo ‑- down today, but up again before you know it. It's utterly pointless, especially because both bread and chocolate are good for you.

Just to share a little information on Easter since it has just passed...

The Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny is not a modern invention. The symbol originated with the pagan festival of Eastre. The goddess, Eastre, was worshipped by the Anglo-Saxons through her earthly symbol, the rabbit.

The Germans brought the symbol of the Easter rabbit to America. It was widely ignored by other Christians until shortly after the Civil War. In fact, Easter itself was not widely celebrated in America until after that time.

Pranks performed on April Fool's Day range from the simple, (such as saying, "Your shoe's untied!), to the elaborate. Setting a roommate's alarm clock back an hour is a common gag. Whatever the prank, the trickster usually ends it by yelling to his victim, "April Fool!"

Practical jokes are a common practice on April Fool's Day. Sometimes, elaborate practical jokes are played on friends or relatives that last the entire day. The news media even gets involved. For instance, a British short film once shown on April Fool's Day was a fairly detailed documentary about "spaghetti farmers" and how they harvest their crop from the spaghetti trees.

April Fool's Day is a "for-fun-only" observance. Nobody is expected to buy gifts or to take their "significant other" out to eat in a fancy restaurant. Nobody gets off work or school. It's simply a fun little holiday, but a holiday on which one must remain forever vigilant, for he may be the next April Fool!

It depends on how much time it is between posts. I find that if I wait a few minutes between posting messages, I get more gold than if I post one right after the other.

Kimini
Did you know that in Gaia, the gold you get for your first post every day (that is, after midnight, Gaia time) is proportional to the amount of text you post in it?

Our research has shown that if your first post is approximately 400 words long, you will get 27 gold. No more than that, though.

This thread is where you should come first every day, and post a good long bit of blather for your gold. Have fun and good luck!! ^_^

Can't think of something to say? Quote someone else. Quote someone's quote. Just please don't post a full page of bumps.

Not many ppl seem to be posting in this thread anymore...
But I'm here for more gold for my 1st post since I don't quite have as much time to do the polls and bump here anymore sad

How Can You Do It Alone...The Who

Saw a man about fifty or so
He looked lonely but his eyes were bright
He was walking up the Holland Park Road
And I stopped him to ask for a light
He practacally froze when I spoke
But eased when he saw my cigarette
Then I saw as he lit up my smoke
Beneath his coat he was naked and wet

With eyes full of shame
For he knew that I knew
He slumped to the wall with a moan
I said "I know there's no name
For what you go through
But how can you do it alone."

I crossed the street to the local newstore
Flicked through some cheap magazines
Beside me some schoolkid I saw
Push some girlie mags down into his jeans
The shop girl was watching amazed
Asked me to call for the police.
She screamed at his blushing young face
And he escaped into the streets.

With eyes full of shame [etc.]

Do it alone, how can you do it alone,
I need your help, so I can do it by myself.
Do it alone, don't have to breathe down a phone
I ain't got a clue, 'bout the things that you do
But how...can you do it alone.

How can you do it.

Back at the flat my girl sat in the shower
And wasn't too keen on me sharing
She came out well after an hour
And by that time I was past caring
Some women it seems have the knack
Of attaining that stars in their dreams
They simply relax and lay back
While people like us scratch our jeans.

With eyes full of shame
And I know it must show
I slump - and I fall and I groan
Will somebody explain
What I need to know
How can you do it alone.

How can you do it.

How can you do it without any help
How can you do it all by yourself.
