"She'll be dead before we reach anyone." Cyrus said. "But, there is a way to save her. Unfortunately, it puts more than her own life at risk." When he said this, he glew brighter and his flames got bigger. He let out a scream of pain as he threw this fire onto Ari. The pain came from him ripping out part of his own life-force to place into Ari. When he finished, he collapsed. They now shared their pain, their hardships, and their lives. Should Ari die, Cyrus would die. Should Cyrus die, Ari would die. Should one get hurt, the other would feel the same pain.

Ari had finnally stoped shaking, her skin and body returning to its normal color, she glowed lightly as the life force she had been givin settled in.
She gasped as she sat up,opening her eyes,she looked around, looking to her side she saw Cyrus collapsed. She smiled lightly as she bent down and wispered into his ear.
"Thank you Cyrus." Sitting back up she looked over to a shocked Aiden.
Aiden didn't know what to say truly,he didn't know what to make of what he had seen,but he ws glad to see Ari was ok.
Ari sighed," Aiden...can you pick Cyrus up? We need to get back to camp."
Aiden nodded as he went over to them and picked Cyrus up with all his might, Ari getting up also and they went to the camp.
Aiden layed Cyrus down near the wagon as Ari set the wood up and started a fire.

Cyrus laid in his passed-out condition for hours. When he finally came to, he found that the other two had fallen asleep at the fire side. He looked at his immediate location and found himself inside the wagon. He chuckled a bit. "Great, the wagon again. Can't seem to get away from this thing." he said to himself before going back to sleep for the night.

The next morning, Ari woke up first, Aiden was up just abit after she was.
Looking to aiden, Ari smiled lightly," Hey Aiden...can we go, I don't really want to be in this forest any longer..."
She shivered lightly,she still had the tear mark on her neck,kept there as a reminder, and she didn't want to meet up with that man again.
Aiden nodded," Yes,I agree.."
They gethered the stuff and were back on the road within 20 minuets. Ari sat in the back with Cephas, letting his head rest on her lap, seeing as there wasn't much leg room in the first place with him sprawled out in the back.
She watched as the trees past, her mind just running with ideas. She didn't know exactly what to make of what had happened,or what Cyrus did, but she knew it, she could feel part of his life force with in her. And she thanked the gods for having a friend like Cyrus, for having him around,she didn't know what it would have been like if he wasn't there. Wait she knew...she would be dead without him.

When Cyrus woke, he found himself in Ari's lap. "Heh, mornin'." he said. "Glad to see we're both alive." He smiled and hugged her.

She smiled,hugging him back tigtly," Yeah I'm glad we're both alive too, thanks Cyrus."
She smiled as she pulled back and looked to him," How are you feeling?"

Ari smiled lightly,nodding, she hugged him then rested her head on his chest,closing her eyes, she hadn't gotten a good sleep the night before.
"Thank you so much Cyrus."

Cyrus put his arm around Ari as she laid upon his chest. "I couldn't have you dieing on me, now could I? I made you a promise and I intend to see it through."

She smiled, nodding in agreenment," I know, and I promise if there is any way possible I'll find a way to give you your life force back, I know its going to be difficult haveing to watch over me."
She smirked as she looked up to him," Wait, you do that already."

"Did you just know realize that?" Cyrus asked playfully. "I've been looking out for you ever since we were little. This is just another minor obsticle to me. Just don't worry about it and don't let yourself get killed. I have even more reason to worry now."

She laughed some nodding," No I knew it... alright, I'll be carefull, I'm not gonna die,plus you need some one to look after you too."
She smirked some as she rested her head back onto his chest,closing her eyes once more.
Aiden continued to drive,he called out to the two behind him,not wanting to bother them too much," We're about an hour or two away."

"Only an hour away? I figured that we'd be there by now. Well, it does give me enough time to regain some of my lost power." Cyrus closed it eyes and began to focus on the energy around him. Any form of fire he could sense he drew into himself. But, being in a wagon trailing through the woods, that wasn't a whole lot. So, he split his concentration so that he would grow and mutliply the fire that was inside him.

After about 20 minuets more of being in the wagon,Ari sat up,yawning some as she was waking up. She gave Cyrus a small smile but looked ahead onto the path way. She couldn't sence something there...and it wasn't exactly all welcoming.
She gave out a sigh and looked to Cyrus," I think Damien is up ahead waiting for us."
Her eldest brother was good to her,but hated Cyrus for some unknown reason. A few years back he had joined the army,and now was a general himself. This couldn't be good if he himself was waiting for them.

"Please tell me you didn't say what I thought you said." Cyrus said, coming out of his trance. "Damien!? Why him!? I swear, that guy is out to get me. He must be jealous of how cool I am."
