So are they going to show the episodes they would have shown without the strike, or has it forced them in a new direction?

No. Strike forced them to skip over Exodus, which was going to be Volume III originally. Villains was supposed to be IV.
IMO, they should have just kept going the way they were originally. Nathan would have collapsed from The Virus, quarantining Odessa, and the plot of Generations wouldn't have gone to waste. But because of the strike Nathan was shot instead.
And they only had two episodes filmed anyway.

There was an article in the paper today about Heroes... it was basically about a new character with the name Speedster. This is probably old news, but... whatever. I got really freaked out though, the way it was worded made it seem like the next season was already on air. I really hope it's not... I hate missing that show.

Nope. Were it on I'd be squeeing and having something to do on Mondays besides read the Phoenix Wright Kink Meme and lament on the Suiko KM's lameness, what the hell, fandom? We've got like a bajillion gorgeous people and not even seven pages of kink memeAnd Speedster is probably Knox. Link leads to spoilers.

There was an Arab with powers in the pilot- Amid Halebi, The Engineer. He was dropped because Tim Kring realized that Amid was "potentially too controversial" (Took him long enough). So we got Ted instead. ITA- we do need an Arab hero. Regarding Asian women with powers, there's always Kimiko (Anybody remember her?), and since ((it's been confirmed that Yaeko's returning, there's always her.))And I just looked up "Speedster"- her name's Daphne.

Yeah that's kind of the hazard of American Broadcast television. Not that any other country's broadcast is any better, but each place caters to the majority tastes, and ours in the west just happens to be skinny blondes.
4 months until the new season. 2 weeks until MGS4.

I still have the original... Man is it good razz I have to play that again this summer for nastalgia. Speaking of which, act 4 in MGS4 = yum. Snake's return to shadow moses is the best part of the whole game.
Ahem, erm, anyway, Heroes draws closer, a couple months now and the new season begins.

Sylar's not dead because the writers love him so much. He used to be my favorite, but imo it's time for him to go.
And boy has this show gone downhill since season one. It's actually pretty epic.
