As Jazral was doing a walk around of Nim he suddenly smelled something. He took a few good sniffs "Selene? You don't smell that, do you?"
Selene looked at him oddly "No no not the horse" Jazral replyed as he took another sniff "...it smells of death and blood" Takeing a walk around the stables he tryed to find the source of the smell, although it was hard with so many horses, after some searching he found a small puddle of blood soaked into some hay near one of the horses, whos he couldnt remember "light, where did this come from?" Jazral took a good sniff of the blood and looked at selene "It's human"
Jazral rummaged around in the may alittle and after some time manged to find a small trail that lead up into the rafters where they Inn keeper obviously kept some of his supplies and hay for the hourses, there were a few small drips of blood on the ladder, but it was all Jazral needed to follow the scent unfortunatly the trail seemed to stop when he got up to the top, but there was still that odd smell, and the ever prestent smell of horses. He began diggin in the hay, and to his surpise his hand hit metal, he pulled his hand back, and it was covered in blood. Jazral lifted the hay up and to his suprise, admidst they hey lay a dead seanchan body, in the unmistakeable insectoid style armor. "Oh light" Jazral muttered to himself as he climbed down
Jazral looked at Selene how was still tending to her horse "Selene, I Think we have another problem other then Gwynnes foolish actions. Finish readying your horse, I need to go tell the others, when I return, we should leave, I don't think its safe here anymore. Not only do we have Gwynnes action but..." Jazral looked around to make sure nobody was around, the rest of his sentance was spoken in a quite whipser ment only for Selenes ears "We also have a dead Seanchan on our hands"
Jazral quickly turned and hurried into the building, walking straight into the back room, where most of his companions were. He look over and saw Nanako in tears and Gwynne comforting her, but he was to busy to care at the moment "Friends, It seems we have another problem," As he looked at Markus and Tazmin and realised his hand was still drenched in blood, He held up his hand, showing it to the group "We also have a dead Seanchan warrior on our hands, I'm not sure about any of you but I do not wish to stay a moment longer, Me and Selene shall be departing as soon as her horse is tacked up, I'd sugest we all prepare to leave as well. I do not wish to leave any of you befor your ready to go, but as you know, Selene Sedai's safty is paramount in this case. The body is in the stable loft under some hay, if you wish to see it for yourself. But I press we leave now" With that Jazral turned and headed out of the room

Selene looked away from Thunder and looked at Jazral. "What, what do you mean it's human?" Selene followed Jazral through the stables until he walked up the ladder. Sighing she walked back to Thunder and finished strapping her bags on. Selene looked back up when Jazral came down, his hand was covered in blood, the sight surprised her a bit, she wasn't used to blood on his skin anymore.
"Selene, I Think we have another problem other then Gwynnes foolish actions. Finish readying your horse, I need to go tell the others, when I return, we should leave, I don't think its safe here anymore. Not only do we have Gwynnes action but..."
Selene watched him curiously, about to say 'But what?' when he continued.
"We also have a dead Seanchan on our hands"
Selene was stunned for a minute; turning back to Thunder she quickly finished readying him for the journey. "Light..." Selene buried her face into Thunder's mane; to comfort her he nuzzled his nose into her side. When Jazral came back out she looked at his hand, "Please, wash your hand from the blood. They won't think you're innocent if they see it." Selene hopped up into Thunder's saddle; she sat in it sideways since she wasn't wearing a riding skirt.
She looked at her hands; she didn't want to look at Jazral, after since she had to run away from Tarabon she hated having to run for her life. She was afraid if she looked up she'd lose what dignity she was managing to keep. She knew Jazral could sense it through their bond as well but it didn't matter, she wasn't going to look up.

Kurai stood from her table. The others had come in and she went to stand with them. She saw Jazrels hand and sighed.
"That would be Addin and my doing and there are more than one up there....." She ran her hand trough her hair and gave a slight smirk, looking slightly abashed. "We Had to....They were looking for her. And I need to speak imidiatly with Aorn."

"Please, wash your hand from the blood. They won't think you're innocent if they see it." Selene said when he returned Jazral looked down at his hand and quickly whiped it off under some hay, near were he had foudn the first puddle of blood. "Apperintly It was Addins and Kurai Sedais doing, and theres another 4 bodies up there as well, they came looking for some girl?" Jazral said as he hefted himself up on to his horse "Come we should go, the others can catch up, I suspect they shall be along shortly but I do not feel safe waiting hear any longer" Jazral looked at Selene with a sad face as she hung her head down and they spured their horses into motion and slowly started to trot out towards the city gates "Do not feel so Selly, There is no same in running from a fight you cannot possibly hope to win, life is a valuble thing, espsecily yours' He smiled at her. He didnt like haveing to leave their companions behind eather, but they couldnt afford to wait anylonger. most of all he regreted haveing not told denath he'd been leaveing, He was suposed to be training the man after all

After hearing Addin's "confirmation" not to hurt the sleeping suldam, Darz nods with a sigh. He opens the door and walks out towards the second story (correct?) banaster. He smiles as he looks down upon the people. Compared to the hectic day he's had with Addin and Kurai, this was peace. Darz looks and takes note of various comings and goings, as well as two women he doesn't regocnize. is the only thought Darz has as he looks down. He has the strange feeling that they are warriors, and will be powerful allies.
It's about the time one of the females is comforted by the other...that a most ominous message is delivered. Darz doesn't hear any names, but Kurai's voice is one he recognizes. With wide eyes, he looks back to the room Addin still inhabits. Darz looks back to the tavern's first floor, ghost white. He is not pale from fright. Why would he be? He knows nothing of the plight they are truely in. He is, instead, pale from the message. Darz had hoped they wouldn't be in this much a haste. He'd learned so little of himself; though, he does feel this city does not hold all that he needs. When he finally finds the breath to speak, it is still in his, ancient dialect of Old Tongue, though quiet.
~May the Light protect us...~
Darz looks back to Kurai. Color has returned to his face, at least for the moment, as he allows himself a moment to think clearly. Darz could easily pack light. He owns nothing but his sword, and he has no money with which to make purchases. Darz lets out a shallow sigh, as if praying, before he dares speak again. Though he means to only carry this next sentance upon a whisper, he finds it coming out a bit louder -- in a "normal" tone of voice.

That isnt our only problem ::Kai said from his spot by the door, resumed upon return.:: Addin and Darz captured a Suldam and interrogated her. The guard will be crawling around her demanding an answer for a missing suldam and her bodyguard. ::He grmiced as Darz said something in that odd tongue.:: Would you kindly stop using that bloody babble? Anyway, I think I can buy us sometime. I'll start making it towards the other end of the city. ::He took his jewel out of its pouch.:: If this truely works like Selene said it would, they will follow me. Then if the catch me, they cannot leash me. What is the worse they can do? ::Kai shrugged.:: It will buy you time...but we all have to leave now!

elfmoogle For once, she gave the girl respect as well, calling her by her name instead of "girl" or "Wilder". Eyeing the leash that was on the floor, she shuddered. That was one thing she had hoped to never look upon again. But at least the one who had it was not a Seanchan. Going over to it, and picking it up as if handling a snake, she held it aloft with her index finger and thumb, holding it only with the tips of those fingers. Gazing at it with a sadness that was beyond measure, she walked toward Gwynne with it. "This..thing...is something I would not wish on anyone. Not even my worst enemy, save the commanding Seanchan who caused such things to happen. The women..they know no better. Damane come from all over, and the sul'dam do what they are told. But I think any Power wielder must understand the severity of this leash. I do not know what penance to set upon you, I only wish I could show you what it feels like to be the one leashed. Not through the leash..just..to know the fear. So that you understood." Sighing and shaking her head, she dropped the a'dam onto the middle of the table she had sat at earlier. "May all of those be destroyed by balefire someday.." Gwynne stared somewhat blankly at the a'dam. For a moment, she had a wild impulse to put on the collar and ask Nikoru to don the bracelet. Fortunately, common sense overrode the urge. "Balefire..." she said, in a very small voice. Her tone changed slightly, as if she were quoting from a text. "Feared by Light and Shadow alike in its power, so horrible that the Breaking of the World itself saw it not." She would have said more, but Darz appeared first.Darz Darz looks back to Kurai. Darz holds his sword in what might seem a precarious possition to others as he simply watches. At Darz's first audible words, Gwynne sat up so sharply that she nearly knocked herself out of her chair. Her head whipped around to stare at him. That accent! During her time in Ebou Dar, she had come across a very ancient tome in a library, written shortly after the Trolloc Wars, that described the dialects of the Old Tongue in tremendous detail. She could not understand the actual words of the language, but nearly every accent of it was absolutely unmistakable. Unable to keep the book, for its owner refused to give or sell it, she had memorized it, burning the knowledge into her mind. A lucky thing, as it turned out, as the entire library burned down shortly after. The dialect Darz had just used was impossible. Only a male Aes Sedai of the time of Lews Therin Telamon, and a fairly powerful one at that, would have such a perfect inflection. The book had been very clear that no one since the Breaking had been able to speak the dialect at all clearly. Only by reading the book himself could a man be so fluent in it, and that book no longer existed. How...? And that sword! Gwynne knew cuendillar when she saw it. Forgetting Nikoru, and even Nanako, she stared wide-eyed at him. "Who... what are you?"

A bit flustered, Darz looks at Kai. Who was he to say what he was doing?! He'd worked to ensure the suldam wouldn't die; something Kai, obviously, didn't want to occur. It's not like she'd remember anything, either. Of course, he'd know that if he'd only asked! Sighing and counting to ten, Darz decides it would be best to answer.
~Addin captured her, and I made sure meaningless bloodshed did not occur. He was planning on torturing her! What babble are you talking about, anyway?~
Darz, currently, has no real way to distinguish his Old Tongue from that of the Common the others are speaking. Upon hearing Kai's suggestion to let himself be, essentially, captured, he goes a bit wide-eyed. It wasn't he who'd made the mistake, but he was willing to pay for it! Darz's head then jerks to look at Gywnne. Her near accident in getting up had brought his attention with a proverbial crash back to the first floor. He nearly loses balance of his sword before he realizes he'd better resheath it. Darz does so as he listens to Gywnne ask him a question even he doesn't have an answer for. With a sigh, he pockets the sharpening stone in the hastily brought clothing Tarma had given him and does the best he can to place Silver Wind at his side.
~I know naught of myself. Why? Do you have an answer?~
Still Darz doesn't speak Common. He hasn't even slipped into it, accidently, for a while. Watching and Observing, however, his mind is learning just what it needs to from those before him. It shouldn't be too long now before an unconcious decision on how to speak is wrought. For now, Darz speaks only how he really knows...and slips into Common when he is calm enough to.

Gwynne stared at Darz in even greater amazement than before. His words drove the impression even deeper. Not even reading the book could give anyone such a perfect rendition of the accent. But she could make no sense of his meaning. Did this man speak only the Old Tongue? Who could possibly do this? One of the Heroes of the Horn? But Gwynne knew of no legends of a male Aes Sedai from pre-Breaking bound to the Wheel. Am I dreaming? Is this Tel'aran'rhiod? There seemed no reasonable explanation. "Do you speak Common, da'es shan?" That title, at least, she remembered from somewhere in her travels. "Great Lord," it meant, but she had used an inflection on the first word that put respect for the Light into it, making it very different from how Darkfriends referred to the Dark One. Gwynne seemed to have forgotten Nikoru's and Nanako's presences entirely.

Though Darz had no idea that he was even speaking Old Tongue, something inside of him clicks. He makes no real concious effort to change how he adresses her, but he finds himself acknowledging the title, da'es shan. He doesn't even find it all that odd to be called that. It almost feels...natural. The request to speak in Common, obviously, does not go unnoticed in Darz's next speach.
By the Light, you respect me so. I only know that I am Darz. Tarma has revealed...that I may be amnesiac. May I ask...do you know something?
Darz's eyes seem pleading. He wants to...has to know something about himself! He doesn't want to be stuck, soley, with the image of that girl, dieing upon the edge of a blade, engraved into his minds eye. Darz also finds himself more eager to speak with Gywnne, for possible knowledge she may present, than he has with anyone else, thus far.

He has no idea what he's speaking like... Suddenly remembering Nikoru's presence, she turned to look at the Aes Sedai for a moment before turning her gaze back to Darz. She chose her words carefully. "You speak as one of the faithful to the Lord Dragon. As one who walks the Hall..." Suddenly it sank in that if he was the ancient Aes Sedai his dialect insisted he was, it meant she was speaking to a male channeler, one doomed to go mad in the end. Was amnesia a sign of madness? Gwynne found herself glad that there were Aes Sedai near, a sensation nearly as unfamiliar and unsettling as that of the man himself. "The taint must hold you..." she whispered, her voice shaking with fascinated horror. She stepped back, instinctively reaching for saidar and catching only the cruel laugh of her block. "Aes Sedai," she whispered to Nikoru, "he may be able to channel." My Lord Dragon, protect me! she screamed silently, futilely. (OOC edit: 100th IC guild post!)

Selene just nodded her head silently. "Life truly is a valuable thing, but no life is worth more then another. The value of my life is as equal to that of the Lord Dragon Reborn or to a lowly begger, no one is better then the other. It's just how the Wheel spins the pattern of our lives that makes us a King or a merchant."
Looking up at the road she vaguely wondered if they could just ride free from the city like the Shadow was chasing them without anyone noticing. She highly doubted it though. Sighing she kept up with Thunder's current pace, it was already fast enough to be noticed in the city. Sometimes a little attention could be a good thing, it made you look more blended and less up to something.

"While that is true, my duty is to put your safty above that of others, includeing my own" Jazral turned down another one of the major streets and started heading towards the east gate. It didnt take long to reach the city gates, where four seanchan guardsmen wearing their insectoid armor, were inspecting those comeing in and out of the city. To Jazrals surprise the men just waved then right on past...maybe they were looking for somebody..light he hoped it wasnt any of their group. As soon as they were outside the city limits , he broke into a slow canter, and Selene followed. They road untill they reached about 5 miles outsite illian, where they could clearly see any seanchan patrols comeing after then, should that actuly happen. Jazral doughted the would be so lucky as to get away without a conflict
"We should wait here for the otheres, I do hope they are not long" Jazral unmounted Nim, brushed him off alittle and proceded to sit in the short grass, and converse with Selene.

Watching the vast change in Gwynne's attitude, he decided there was hope for her yet. Having settled the situation somewhat, he let himself relax a little. But then, everyone was in a ruckus to leave. What in the bloody Light have these women gotten us into now? I swear, if we weren't here to watch their every move, they'd have lost their heads at birth.. Leaving his armor bundle where it sat, he walked to the door, stopping only to speak to Nikoru.
"I shall find us horses. Leave if things get too delicate. I will find you." With that, he had vanished through the door. The inn was busy as the day progressed. He went in search for the innkeeper, a man he had known for several years now. A man who had helped him escape with his life and had not paid the ultimate sacrifice for it. Maybe that's why the name changed? He didn't know, and as far as he was concerned, it didn't matter. He might have to change it again when he left. He hated being a bad omen to people.
Finding him, he motioned him to a corner without people. Lowering his voice, he needed all the advantages he could get, and speaking loudly wouldn't help much. He looked much as a Lord would, so his quiet mumblings could be perceived as a Lord disassociating with the common folk.
"It is good to see you are still in business, friend. I was worried when I put foot here in Illian that you would not have survived my last encounter. However, my abrupt arrival is going to be quickly followed by a swift departure." He paused, looking at the man who had saved his life years ago. "I am going to need five horses, preferably ones that will be able to run hard and long without too much exhaustion. Can you help me with this?"
Looking through the common room, no one had eyes on them. The servant girls whisked about, tending to the crowd as they acted like vultures needing food and drink. It was dicomforting to see them in a sullen mood, most likely from the Dragon's recent climb to power and the fact Seanchan were here. In either case, it was not a happy time. He needed a gleeman. Too bad Nozrin couldn't help out much.
Frowning, he realized he hadn't seen Nozrin since they got back. He must be with Aorn. Or about to arrive back. Either case... A sudden question occured to him. "Which will be the easiest way out of the city?" He needed to formulate more than just getting them outside the Inn. He needed to get them through the Last Battle and find peace. True peace. One problem at a time. Don't worry about what's not here yet. Just what has to be done. He agreed with the thought.

Jcd Se7en "It is good to see you are still in business, friend. I was worried when I put foot here in Illian that you would not have survived my last encounter. However, my abrupt arrival is going to be quickly followed by a swift departure. I am going to need five horses, preferably ones that will be able to run hard and long without too much exhaustion. "Which will be the easiest way out of the city?" Smiling at his long lost friend, he bobbed his head in the manner of an innkeeper, all too happy to see anyone in his establishment. But he knew the twinkle in his eyes was of a doomsday grief. His last encounter with Markus had nearly driven him out of business and nearly cost him his life. He wouldn't voluntarily put himself there again, but times were desperate and if they didn't leave, he might not have a chance to see his business flourish as it once had.
"It do good to see you too, Markus, though the times do nae be as they once were. They do be worse." He jollied as he said it, as if making a grand joke. He loved jokes. "Five horses, eh? I do think I can help you with that request. I do have five horses that I could sell. Or steal from patrons if do come to it. I do suppose you do be needing them now?" He sighed a bit. "You do be a thorn to me Markus, but you do have coin enough for motivation. Be at the stable in five minutes. They will be ready for your departure."
Turning to go, he realized there was one more question unanswered. He grinned at Markus, then spoke with a quietness that he hardly heard himself. "The East Gate do be least protected. I do think it will change soon, though. You must hurry if you wish to escape. Let me see to your supplies." With that, he went through the inn to the kitchen where he foudn his stableboys and told them to ready the five best horses available. He then returned to his office and retrieved a parchment he had kept in safekeeping for a while now.
Markus was on his way back to the common room when he caught him. "I do have a request, if you don't mind. This is a letter to a friend in Tear. Carry it and find the Shining Pike. Do make sure he gets it." Holding the letter out, he waited anxiously for the letter to be taken.
