"And why would that be?" Subaru cooed gently, pausing briefly to examine the approaching man once more before screwing her expression into one of child like fear...
"Oh please!" She cried loudly and somewhat over dramatically as she leapt towards him, her arms spreading wide as she took another breath and released another outcry, "I didn't do anything! You have to believe me!"
Her approach was quickening and she soon leapt into the air, wrapping her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck as she canted her head to the side and the expression turned into one of amusement. She paused in this position for quite some time before bringing a hand around and tapping him lightly on the nose.
"Oh sweetie," She murmured softly, "You are already too late anyway," she continued and canted her head to the otherside, "So why continue with your threats when they hold no meaning to one such as I, hm?" She shook her head as a smile crept up onto her lips, "And to think, earlier you were so much more charming to me..." she purred.

Niftyness "A bit fuzzy..." Yui truthfully answered, her voice pausing for a second before continuing, "Are you my brother?" Yui asked, as she glanced over at her reflection in the mirror to see a girl with sandy blonde hair to be starring back at her. She wasn't even sure if she had any siblings but nothing really made sense for her at the moment. It was like she was stuck in some kind of dream world where nothing made sense.

She shook her head as a smile crept up onto her lips, "And to think, earlier you were so much more charming to me..." she purred.  ::Nakago didn't care to answer...he knew she was toying with him, to the extent she could, but even if he was going to respond, she didn't give him the time. She spurred into an overly dramatic display which consequently gained the attention of one of Nakago's Elites who quickly gathered the others from before and made their way to the garden where she now was, but as Nakago was already there...they intended to stay completely in the shadows until needed.::
::He had not expected this kind of response...and on one hand, it was amusing. On the other however, it was angering, and he balanced the two out well enough at the start.::
::Her sudden leap onto him was also not expected, but prepared for. Surely she would feel his life force extended as a protective aura around his body, should she try a physical attack even on these close quarters. He simply let her cling onto him as she spoke again...the words a bit disturbing in context...but then, she could be bluffing...not entirely of course...but to what extent, he would have to know. Then she topped it off with a half flattery, half sarcastic note...or at least, tha was his perception thereof::
::Still cold and stone-faced, Still trying to decifer the strange feeling in his gut, and again feeling a flux of power from Yui's room, he responded, Bringing his arm asround so that his cold hand would come to rest at her neck as he finished his last statement::
"Earlier...you had not overstepped your bounds as much as you have now. I would much rather prefered to continue in a Charming manner...but you have put me in a position...where that is not possible." ::He locked eyes with her:: "Well...If I am 'Too late'...then there really is no purpose for me to let you leave here alive then is there?

Subaru tensed briefly as the icey shiver ran up her spine, her face paling briefly at the shock before she recovered her composure and flashed another smile, this one however was much more triumphant and as she tapped her finger gently against his cheek she shook her head.
"Ah, but that is where you are wrong my lord," She replied softly, releasing her grip around his waist as she lowered her feet to the ground again and arched an eyebrow. The smile still linger upon her lips and after tapping his cheek she pointed haphazardly towards the direction of the shrine.
"You see," she continued and released yet another sigh, "Should you kill me, you have lost your only method of removing the spell from around your temple...it is afterall Byakko's magic and not Seiryuu's." She purred quietly and brought her sentence to a close, curious as to how he would react.

Yui gave Amiboshi quite a puzzled look at his comment as he didn't even bother to answer her question. Had something horrible happened to her? Was that the reason why her memory was a bit fuzzy as of now and someone had placed a protective barrier around her? It was hard to clear her mind when it did nothing but form one question after another. But as Amiboshi played, her own questions soon faded as her mind stopped thinking just to listen to the beautiful music that emitted from the boy's flute. Her eyes closed to listen to the music for a few seconds before they reopened to gaze up at the ceiling minus the barrier and did nothing more but listen to the melody the boy played.

Was that the reason why her memory was a bit fuzzy as of now and someone had placed a protective barrier around her? It was hard to clear her mind when it did nothing but form one question after another. He thought of all of these things as he prayed to Seiryuu, give Lady Yui strength.
The song slowly ended, and Amiboshi opened his eyes.  ::With the "Intruder within his own sights and direct range of power, Nakago was able to relax the barrier around Yui. He did this while he put the pressure on Subarau. The event was shortl lived however as he now recieved his first knowledge of what she had REALLY done. That was it...the gut feeling...the thing he couldn't shake...right under his nose...He flinched visably, but ever so quickly regained himself and went with the flow.::
"Well then...I do believe we should remedy that little situation, before I decide what to do with you."
::In spite of this new information, new obstacle, new problem, he smiled at this point...a severe, almost sinister smile, intensifying the flow of energy around them::

At present it was she who held the cards in her hands, not the shogun...really quite amusing considering how he had given off an air of superior intelligence, it seemed he was easily outsmarted in certain areas.

::He trailed off at this point, having reached his destination, the fountain again, at which point he snapped his fingers both visibly and audibly, summonning the balck cloaks out of their hiding places. One appeard kneeling before him. Nakago knelt down and whispered something in his ear, and the ne shot off to the others and all of them "dissapeared"::
::He then turned and cleared his throat taking a few more steps to her, significantly less menacing than before::
"Well...it would seem you hold a better hand than I had anticipated...You came to see the palace you say? Then I think we can make arrangements for the grand tour...and I am sure we will work something out."
ninja ninja ninja Elites::The four original elites Nakago had sent for Subaru anow departed, and took two more of them as well. The left the palace and hurried quickly beyond, even to the edge of the city and beyone...they had a new target...A lone "wandering" Byakko Seishi, to be brought to Nakago, Alive, beaten if neccessary...a new target, and a poingant "bargaining chip". On spider's legs they went seeking out the wayward companion of this one who had invaded their palace.::

"You think so?" Subaru enquired in calm voice as she glanced at the black robed man, they soon departed however and she quirked a brow. She may have been a woman but she was not a fool and this immediately rang alarm bells in her head, what was he up to?
For long moments she was silent before at last she swept passed him, her head held high and expression unreadable as she made her way towards the exits of the garden, barrier or not she could still walk around physically and with that in mind it made for a fantastic little game...what a better way to delay him further, to give the barrier time to increase in strength...than to force him to follow where SHE wanted to go!
"If I was a common being or a Seiryuu seishi...?" She added questioningly as she paused by the step, her eyebrow raising again as a small smile developed on her lips.

Find the others! Only recently has Kagasuki been born and Tokaki has come of age to wield his gifts...we must ensure they are protected until the time is right for them to unleash their power upon the world.
The voice echoed in his mind even as he made his way over the tops of the mountain side, long ago he had stopped galloping and had allowed himself to drop into his own thoughts. Subaru had seemed so determined, as though she had received the information from a higher being and yet in ways he could tell she was right, for as he approached the west again he could sense the prickling sensation of his limbs, another of his kin was close by...but was it infant or of his own age?
He sighed heavily at this, no doubt the little magi would know what to look for but he did not, nevertheless he would try, he had to.
"Hahaha! Told you it was easy!" The voice yelled as the silver haired and very young man darted across Tatara's pathway, closely followed by another set of young men each of which was obviously supposed to be doing some form of work...but apparently, had decided not to.
"Not as easy as one might think." Tatara murmured gently to himself and shivered and then frowned, wait a minute. Was that not...?
"HEY!" He yelled as the boys disappeared from view, "Urgh." He muttered and with that in mind, swung his mount in the direction of the group in order to pursue them. One found, only four more to go.

Subaru swore mentally as she took note of the shift in power around her, no longer did it create a small sphere, but instead it expanded to block her every way of escape but she still had that wonderful hand, she was the only one who could shatter the spell around the shrine, or so they assumed.
Then again, assumptions were fairly correct as she knew of very few magi other than herself and as a result she was still confident of what she could achieve, despite her predicament...and later, she could use this sphere as yet another card against them, with her powers hindered how could she ever lift the spell, hm?
"At this rate, 'never' appears to be the right time and as for the circumstances, I doubt anything like that will ever be right now either." She pointed out coolly, raising her hands to tend to the tats in her hair; it was a shame she didn't have a brush, but alas that was what happened when you didn't send notice that you were arriving in a palace.
"And as for your recommendation..." Her smile grew more sinister and she shrugged, "The more damage they cause me, the less likely I am to help you." She mused and glanced briefly in the direction of the seal around the temple door, "Of course, they would not bother me if I could focus my own ki right...as they would be unable to see me." She added and continued on her way down the veranda.

Closing his eyes, he allowed the whispers of the plants around him to give him the location of the people he sought.

ninja ninja ninja Elites, Closing In::It would not be too long now, and they would be all but caught up with him...as they had sped of at full speed and not slowed at all except to interrogate passing pople for information so that they would stay right on the right track of him. The finally closed into a apoint where their tracking skills could be put to use..and they knew they were hot on the trail...and thus continued yet at full speed towards their target, and potentiall extra targest that though they had not known or been ordered about, if they found out that this little treck would yeild OTHER Byakko, Nakago might want them brought as well to give that extra bit of leverage that he liked to have::

((Alright, I can't let Suzaku start to slip!! Here I go >:O!!!))
As the sun started to set in the countryside, Miaka walked off by herself and sat down on a grassy hill. She took out her buns and tied her ribbons to her wrist. The wind blew her hair in front of her face and she then dug her face in her knees. Her mind was racing.
"Yui-chan...how are you? What are you doing right now? I hope your okay...I'm sorry I haven't had enough time to look for you properly. Hopefully, I can just summon Suzaku quickly, and just wish you back. Mitsukake told me he saw you...I hope your in a nice place like me. Everyone here is wonderful, I even had my first kiss! I can't wait to see you...just please...be okay..."
Miaka finished her "mind letter" to Yui and then fell back on the grassy hill. She slowly closed her eyes and drifted off into a sleep...
