Kala gathered the cloths and bowl, being careful not to spill the red tinted water, and walked back to the bathroom. Tipping the bowl into the sink, she watched it's contents swirl down the drain, then rinsed the washcloths in cold water before setting them aside to wash with the rest of the laundry. Walking to the kitchen, she used the unused towel, soaked in water, to clean up what blood she found, then used it to wrap the other inside. Taking them both back to the bathroom, she looked up at the now sleeping form of Reselda sure for a moment she'd heard something, a whimper perhaps? She shook her head and silently went back to her work, doing her best not to wake the sleeping girl and rinsed the towels out as best she could in a couple cold water baths, then set them to soak in some cold soapy water for awhile.
Stepping out of the bathroom, wiping her hands off with a hand towel, she was startled to hear the soft whimper of "No Daddy please don't. I'm sorry I won't do it again I promise." and Kala's heart broke. She longed to reach out, to soothe Reselda's spirit with a gentle touch, that perhaps her dreams might change to something better, but she was mindful of her promise. Instead, she sat down, her back to the wall beside the bathroom door, and whispered Poor thing...so young...too young to have had to face what I can only guess at. She remained there for a long time watching the sleeping form wishing she could do something to ease the burden, longing to touch her, to soothe her, but not daring to break her promise.

Reselda seemed to remain trapped in the nightmares as she softly whimpered, pleaded cried, and occasionally flinched in her sleep for the next 25 minutes. She was able to sleep peacefully for about 5 minutes before once again being trapped in the nightmares. twisted

Katrina tried (rather unsucessfully) to follow the brief conversation, not to be nosy but to pick up more English phrases. She had smiled at the compliment, and was trying to think of a way to search in this city for the one who could help her. So far she'd had no leads at all, but since this city was reputed to have a number of superhero guardians, Katrina thought one of them might be the girl she was searching for. Katrina blinked, however, when she heard Etain say that the call had been from her boss.

Chris sighs and thought it would be okay to take a break from her wondering and look around the shop a bit. SHe walked into the store and the little bell rang annoucing her pressence. "Man, I wish that didn't do that." Now she was going to feel bad seeing as she wasn't going to buy anything. She just wanted a spot to rest her feet for a second. Her necklace hanging out of her shirt now in plan view. Hoping the owners of this cute place weren't bitches.

Etain smiled as she motioned for Katrina to join her on the bench she had been sitting in and sits back down. ninja

Cain's shock melted gradually as things happened around him. He was back to his normal self, but was still pondering over what was going on. No wonder the girl didn't like to be touched, if that was the case. Her speech, its cadence, kinda leaned to the Irish/Celtic, he wondered if her people came from near Wales, as it would fit. He turned a chair around and watched her sleep, worried for her, but beginning to see where she might have come from and where here powers might have originated. She shuddered in her sleep, a brief flash of a large shadow, anger and fear entered his mind. Interesting... He covered her slight form with a blanket, wishing he could do more...

A gift for finding the truth?? Katrina blinked in surprise, but tried to quickly cover up. She slowly sits down next to Etain, the wheels turning in her head. How to ask her if she's the one?

Odd didn't seem like they were going to check up on her. Bad customer service. She sighs and looked at all the wonderful things in the shop. Reminded her of her grandmothers place. She probably could of mad millions selling half the things in her house. But she did want to, she knew that all those things were presious and had loads of her family history in it. But it was hard to know all of your history if you never listened. If only they hadn't been attacked that night, she still be at her home listening to grandma's old tales of fantasy. The more she thought about it though the more she wondered how much of her stories were true. She'd get them for that, they'd pay one day. Her moment of rage sent a slight surge through the store as a vase near her shook. She snapped out of it just intimw to catch it.
"Whew, that was close." The thing had to weigh a ton or something but it didn't feel like it to her as she easily sat the vase back on its stand. "That is probably very explesive." Her rage was gone for now but still couldn't get her home out of her head. Maybe next time she should pick a store that did have so many things that reminded her of home. Had turned to walk out. It seemed like no one was comig to check on her so she thought she'd leave before they could do it. She wasn't quite to the door yet though.

Interesting. He knew a bit on shields, as he had one himself. A few inches from the girl's slight form the blanket hovered in the air. She was shut down, at least physically. Too bad, as he longed to put a hand on the back of her neck, just to soothe her troubled sleep. As if reading his mind, Kala chose that time to walk behind him and place her hands on his shoulders, kissing his neck lightly. Her presence was soothing, and made him feel stronger, and an idea came to him, and he felt incredible stupid. Zel hadn't needed to take on such a burden, he could have sealed the wound himself, had he thought of it... Kala put her arms around him and he settled back into her embrace. In his mind, the soothing feeling of her love became a memory of sorts...
The light shone down on him(her), impossibly bright. Daddy and Mommy were holding both his(her) hands, smiling and laughing and talking. His(her) heart would burst, he(she) was so happy...
It must have been the girl's memory, and he focused on it, following it into her mind. Every time she began a new cycle of bad feelings, he sent her to the park, hoping that it would be enough. He had heard the bell below, and knew he should go and see what was up. Hoping the loop would last, he kissed Kala and walked down the stairs. Still concentrating on the loop of good feeling he had started in her mind, he noticed the new girl in his shop, turning to leave. I'm sorry, I got pre-occupied. How might I help you?

The loop seemed to help at the very least bringing the calm periods up to 10 minutes and the nightmares down to 20. However the nightmares did seem a bit worse at the beginning though it could have just been because one got used to the calm period between them. twisted

Cain felt Zel responding, if ever so slightly, to his gentle thoughts. When he felt a spike of negativity, he sent more good thoughts to her. Hopefully the reinforcement would help. Normally, he could set the customer at ease and help them, get a good reading on them, as he like to think, but with his mind mostly on Zel, he had to go back to just normal conversation. I suppose you took a look around, before I got down here. See anything? His eyes fell on her necklace, and he let out a whistle. Nice design, family heirloom, I take it?
