Zulu felt really stupid when he realized Ana was just messing with him"Ok, I see you wanna play games. I'll play" Zulu took water from the pouch of water he had on his belt and made a ring around Ana. then Zulu started to make it spin. "See, I can play g...." Then all of the sudden, the water ring stopped and fell to the ground. "What the? It's hard to bend the water. Why is it so hard?"Zulu tried to bend the water, but he couldn't get it off the ground. He was trying so hard that the water tunred to thin little ice needles and shot all over the room "God damnit. What's wrong with me? I can't fully control my powers anymore." Zulu gathered the water with his powers and made the ring around Ana again. "I better not do anything fancy or I can lose control again"

Ana looked at Zulu again as if he were crazy. She "grew up." "A small show of elemental power rarely amuses me, though I lack the capacity of powers equal to yours." She turned to Izuma and Vulcan. "Out of curiosity, did my sister leave any indication of where she was going?"

((@Kill: And Vulcan loves to be messed with. xD
Vulcan: Do not.
Me: Shut it. >.> You do too.
Vulcan: stare ))

"That thing," Vulcan said, pointing to Zulu's arm, "Is what's throwing off your powers. May I suggest that, for your own safety, you resist using your powers unless absolutely nessecary. This includes making this water ring go away. You don't want to aggitate your arm anymore."

EDIT

Vulcan turned to Ana and gave her a slight grin. He shrugged his shoulders and returned his attention back to Zulu. He also made sure his thoughts were clear in case a certain someone was poking around.

Ana was sorely tempted to make a rude gesture at Vulcan, but she restrained herself. "Last time Niccea left by herself, she came back with that katana of hers and Imerius." She examined the shadow mark again. "I concur, the mark is obviously making your power less substantial."

((This moves fast..>_>; ))

Vena chose to ignore the girl who seemed to be sniffing her for something. She was a little confused, but perhaps the girl caught a scent of something she had stolen recently, from a highly perfumed house or something like that. And since this particular one did not seem hostile to her, she felt safe enough focusing her attention on the others. The other girl however...the one named Ju, was starting to get on Vena's nerves, especially with the unnecessary and wasteful show of power. The girl was a thief....did Ju really expect her to be unable to escape such silly little bonds? But she said nothing along these lines, allowing her temper to calm as her playful grin still played upon her face.

"Now now...must I explain myself if I'm taking a simple stroll through the fortress? Shouldn't I be asking you what you're doing here, Mrs. Spy? Not doing a very good job of keeping your occupation secret, now are you?"

Another voice, this time a male, then caught Vena's attention and she would leap forward and over towards him, looking as if she was going to trip into the man, but stopping at the last minute. From her few travels into town, Vena guessed he was some sort of a high priest, though she did not know his name.

"Come now...don't tell me you didn't expect people to visit, when you have such nice buildings to explore in here? It's so boring to always stay outside, you know?" She said with a wink.

And then her attention was shifted again, towards the one named Crow, another not-so-secretive spy.

"Ah...but how would I know who the Majeares are? I'm new to town, just taking a look around the most interesting parts, you know." She was clearly taking on a more playful attitude, so that these people are less likely to see her as a threat. It would be easier to get information, because they wouldn't be aware of what they were leaking. From what Crow had just said, she knew that the dagger she had found belonged to the Majeares, who she of course had heard of. They were supposed to be a family of notable blacksmiths, which would explain the quality of the dagger.

"As for who I am...well..." And she would swing away from them all again, so that she was standing at a position far away from all of them, yet viewable by all.

"Ladies and gents, Vena Ecclestone at your service." She had an infamous reputation as the leader of the thieves however, few people knew the name of this infamous leader. And so, she did not expect her name to be recognized and gave it freely. If she kept too secretive about even such details, then she would arouse suspicions.

Her position was not just so others could see her though, for the girl had a easy view of everyone else as well. And though she pretended not to notice, she saw Zulu out of the corner of her eye...unable to use his water magic. A useful piece of information indeed. The water lord...without water magic. If she leaked this out, certain ambitious leaders could easily take advantage of it. But since she still had not decided which stand she would stand upon, she would keep mum about this, at least for the moment.

The girl who had been sniffing her earlier was now speaking about her older sister, most likely the individual Vena had seen leaving earlier. Vena was slowly learning these people's names and committing them to memory, in case they came in handy.

((That was only long because I responded to everything on the last 2 pages...@_@ ))

((@_@ sorry about that. Since all of us are only a on for a short part of the day, we kinda post as much as possible as soon as we can...oh...FYI...Niccea and Ana are fraternal twins. But Niccea is the elder...not like your character would know that...))

Ana found a chair and sat down. The chair wobbled a little bit from the damage it had taken at Zulu's hands, but she was still comfortable. The ridiculously large sword on her back scrapped the ground.

((yes it was a pointless post...but do I care?...no))

Crow thought to himself. "Vera.... Vera, Vera, Vera." He repeated over and over. "Got it." He smiled. "You have quite the reputation around here Vera. Not everyone has such an advanced system as thieves." His smile seemed to grow, two fangs glistening. "Though I find it diificult to believe that you don't know who the Majeare's are. After all," Suddenly he was directly behind her twirling the kinfe she had found on his fingertip. "They have made several legitamite transactions with several members of the thieves." He looked to Ana. "Correct?"

Ju's eyes flashed yellow, and she longed to tear the cocky theive's tongue from her mouth.

"If you mean to say I am below standards in that eloquent but pointless language of yours, I dare you to say it properly."

((VeNa))

She pretended not to notice the fact that Crow may know who she was. Since his reference was only a dim one, she did not want to entirely give away her position, not yet, and not in front of so many people.

"A reputation? I'm pleasantly surprised my good sir. This is my first time traveling to the center of the Fire Nation. The information networks must be great...that you would know of a lowly girl like me." She said, with a hint of sarcasm. The humble reference to herself was not out of place though, even with her real rank and reputation in consideration. A thief was still considered to be on the bottom of society.

She would whirl around when Crow appeared, because she was far enough away to see what he was about to do. Even if he had teleported, a thief had first instincts that had to be trusted for survival. Her hand would go forward, tapping sharply upon a weak spot on Crow's wrist when he reached for the dagger. That way, if he already had a grip on the weapon, she would allow it to drop deftly into her other, unextended hand. If he didn't have a grip yet, it would keep his hand out of her weapons and she would reach for the dagger with her free hand anyways.

And jumping away to keep her distance from Crow, Vena would bring the weapon up into the light, twirling it playfully. The same roguish grin still upon her face. This was rather fun.

"How dare you accuse me of being a thief?" She said with a light laugh. "I found this little dagger laying around on the floor and found it amusing. It was going to be a little present for my dear father back home...but if you were so determined to get it, you should've just said so." With that, she would let the dagger fly forward straight at Crow's chest.

"No need to take what's not yours." She said as she landed gracefully upon the ground.

Edit for Ju:

The other spy, the female who had first noticed her, was once again speaking. Vena merely scoffed. "No one said you were subpar, I simply pointed out your lack of secrecy. But you know...since you jumped to such a degrading conclusion yourself, perhaps you should get your self-esteem checked." She smirked. This was no longer about gathering information. She was clearly enjoying the opportunity to cause some havoc.

Crow twirled his fingers effortlessly around the blade, stopping it a few inches from his heart. "And there's no need to throw daggers at people." He replied, then smiled. "Especially when you're about half a second from your mark. Also, thieves are not the bottom of society in my eyes. I grew up on the streets." He twirled the knife between his fingers. "Thieves are respected for their art, their craft, and their intelligence." He tossed the knife into the air as it began to move on it's own now. "You don't really know who you're dealing with do you?" His smile was cold now, and he went over to Ju, wrapping her in an embrace. "You feel the need to show us just how good you are. Tell me, where do you hide when the shadows themselves are aginst you." The shadows began to ripple and twist, and a dark power began to flow from his body. "Tell me little theif," The Prince said. "do you know what it's like to be surrounded by complete and utter nothingness? I can assure you it isn't pleasant.." As the shadows leaped towards Vera, he sent out a mental attack, sending images spinning in her eyes.

Ju smirked when Crow wrapped his arms around her, leaning her head against his chest, watching tendrils of her silver hair cling to him. She watched the suprised looks on her companion's faces, but she was not bothered by them. However, Crow did seem awfully 'trigger happy.'

((VeNa, not Vera. You spelled it wrong again. >_>; ))

Why did Crow mention thieves and the bottom of society? Vena had not said that out loud, merely thought it. But this little slip on Crow's part gave her valuable knowledge. He could read minds. Immediately, her mental defenses went up another notch from before. She would block out anyone trying to pry into her mind, as if it were an open book. After all, there was a great need for secrecy and she did not need this guy to accidentally find out something he shouldn't.

His speech, aside from giving her this important insight, also made her realize a little bit more about his character. Despite all his big talk about her as the "little thief" and him as this great warrior...wasn't he the same as her in many ways? At the least, he was just as cocky. His words would have no effect on her. She didn't survive for this long to be defeated by something like words.

The shadows began to twist, but she herself had an expert control of the shadows. She gained this control by training and conquering the darkness within herself, did he really think she was just a little girl? A darker look filled her eyes, replacing the one of mischief from a minute before. The shadows leaped at Vena, but they would have no effect. She had control of the shadows, they would not dare attack her, even if sent by another shadow user. She could subdue this pathetic attack with mere willpower alone.

As for the mental attack...she had blocked it without even trying to. When she set up a mental block earlier to prevent prying, she also blocked out the possibility of mental attacks. She did not even know he had sent the images, much less seen them.

A wry, sardonic smile replaced the more roguish one before.

"Heh...heh heh...

Talk and bravado...isn't that all you are? When you can no long outdo your opponent with speech, you throw your little attack to try and prove a point. It's disgusting. All I was trying to do was give you the little dagger you seemed to want so much."

"I grow tired of this. Unless you have some purpose other than to present this to us," Ju pointed to the dagger. "I will have no further dealings with you." Ju began to make her way towards one of the side doors. This was something Ju didn't need to be dealing with, petty fights were not on her agenda today. Without a sound, she quietly slipped out, needing to mull over the days events.

Zulu looked a vena"Miss, why are you in here? You're not suppose to hear or see what is in here and you're not suppose to be in the palace period" Zulu said. "I don't need people I don't know telling people of my serects and everyone elses."

((oops, my bad))

The Prince smiled. "Ah, another shadow user. Then this should be interesting." He smiled and his pupils turned into thin slits and he launched another attack. "I'd rather see your head on the floor!" he hissed, as the shadows struck out.

Inside his own mind Crow sank deeper into despair. Nothing made any sense anymore. The Prince now had control of the body, and he was manipulating Ju. Now there was this Vena girl. She was under attack, but she seemed to be doing alright. Crow didn't want to think what would happen to her if The Prince got serious. Taunting is all well and good, but if you pissed off The Prince, you didn't come out alive. At least she has an advantage. Crow thought. The Prince does have a bit of an ego. And it was that point that made Crow sink even lower. Nothing ever seemed to work. Even with the Prince's ego, he was still stronger and more experienced. He gave up hope and let the darkness of his mind overtake him. No son of mine is giving up that easily Crow felt a hand grab his own and pull him up. He looked around, but he couldn't find anyone. He recognized that voice. It was his father. He looked around where his was, and he realized. It was his memory. All of it. He gazed around hoping for information about The Prince.
