The large eight-teen wheeler stopped infront of Scott. It was black with a large red stripe going down the side. The large back storage pod was silver and stained. He loaded his bike in the back, seeing the wall lined with parts and tools, and numerouse helmets and metal plated boots. Scott clamped it down, walking over to the wall near the cab and banging on it. "Hey Tony, get this paper weight moving so we can get back to the junk yard!" Yelled Scott as he opened a door and walked into the cab, sitting down in the passenger seat. Tony nodded, giving Scott a quick smile and driving toward the Junkyard. "Whatever you say, boss"

She felt as if her blood was boiling, it'd already been a rough morning having made a trip to the hospital to see her friend and then this race business so she had some pent up anger to release. She dove to the bottom and flipped some switches on a small board, music started blasting underwater and, a bit lower, from the speakers on the porch as well. She pushed off from the bottom and resurfaced then began doing laps.

Scott pulled the trailer over to the junkyard, his home and official meeting spot for the scavers. "Hey Mark, I'm going to go grab the car and head out to the metal fest." said Scott as he hopped out of the truck. "Hey boss, do ya' think its a good idea to go out in public so carelessly?" asked Mark, realizing he was too late to stop him. Scott walked out to the back of the junk yard, going behind his house and pulling a tarp off of his car. It was a black Chevy Malibu that had a super charger engine poking out of the hood. "Been awhile since I used this mother." said Scott as he hopped in the front seat and drove off the center of the city.

It took a good hour of doing laps to wear her out and she finally climbed out of the pool grabbing a towel. As she was drying off and watchig a few of her ogs run across the backyard, her father came out wearing his usual dress shirt, his tie already undone from work. "A my little Fayalina." He kissed the top of her head. "how's my girl today?" "I'm ok. how was work?" "It was decent enough. I was thinking, your mother has to go out of town tonight for that conference, what say you and I drop her off at the airport and then spend the night out n the town, and we can take our new bikes" he smiled "i just checked with Philip, Jazz and Drazie are ready for the road finally." Jazz was his old bike from years ago, Drazie had been his second bike which he'd won from that time's leader of the gradient gang, only a few years after it'd been started. A few years back they had both been being trailored home from a rough race when a drunk driver had slammed into the trailor and nearly totalled both bikes. Philip and a few others on the team had spent the last 4 years rebuilding them as close to the way they were. Faye smiled "And mom will allow this to go on?" He laughed "what she doesn't know won't kill her." Faye's mother said from the doorway "What are you two planning?" They smiled and Faye went over hugging her mom, careful not to get her wet "Nothing, are you all packed and ready for your trip?" "Yes" her mother glared at Faye's father "You told her about the bikes didn't you?" he nodded then she continued talking to Faye "Look you know I don't want you on eithr of those bikes and ESPECIALLY not racing." Faye's younger brother had been killed on Jazz, he'd taken it out ne night on a ride with a few friends, after a few drinks, wasn't thinking clearly, he swerved when a cat ran in front of him and slid hitting a tree. The bike had made it with only minor scratches, but her brother had been killed from the impact. Faye's mother hated the bikes in general, but that one in particular. Both Faye and her father sighed then he spoke "Well I'll just change and we can head out in a few, grab a bite to eat before we drop you off, how's that sound?" Faye and her mother nodded "Sounds good, I'll change into something as well. Be ready in abotu 15 minutes?" "Sounds good" They all went in and to their seperate rooms.

Scott was using the computer to look up the specs on the last two racers he met. "Faye huh? Nice name." said Scott as he looked over her history and frowned saddly. Know how it feels to lose a loved one to racing, but can't let that get in the way of enjoying race. thought Scott as he stopped at the gates of the central park. He walked in, showing tha he had a back stage pass and went to the back rooms, meeting up with some of the bands. He than picked up a guitar and got ready for his band to play. Gotta focus on the performance. Skeletal Tree might get scouted tonight! Thought Scott, refering to his own band.

After they had all changed and her mom had finished packing Faye and her parents met up in the living room and started packing up the car. Once everything was packed, they all piled into the VW and headed out for dinner. A nice sit down dinner at one of the local cafes and then they took her mom to the airport. Quick goodbyes and a few instructions and then her mom climbed onto the plane. Once she was out of site Faye's father turned to her "So what do you say we head back home, grab the bikes and head over to that Metal Fest thing? I know you and your friend were supposed to go, but what do you say to taking yer old man out for the evening?" She smiled "Sounds like a plan, Eden was supposed to stop by the garage, but never did, so maybe she'll be there anyways." With that they headed home and suited up. Faye grinned madly as she wheeled the bike slowly out of the garage looking it over "Wow, she's gorgeous....' She could hardly get it out. This bike was practically a legend, along with it's sister part, Jazz, in her family "You sure it's ok that I ride her?" "Of course, she will be your bike in the next year or so when you take my position in the gang." He winked "I'm not so sure I can do that" She smiled and winked back "may have to race you to earn it, but I'm sure I could smoke ya" with that she kick started her bike and reved the engine. "Ready pops?" "Ready" He kicked Jazz up and they both started over to the concert.

Scott swallowed what little doubt he had in his body, gulping as he got up on stage. His attitude change, and he instantly turned into a differant person. "Alright, I want all of you here, to jump the ******** up. I mean, when I say jump, you'd better get the ******** up and jump!" Yelled Scott as the band began to play the intro to one of his favorite songs. "This song is called, Before I Forget." said Scott calmly as he picked up his guitar, and a blaring metal theme came in.
"Go!
Stapled shut, inside and ouside would and I'm Sealed in tight, but right at home Claustrophobic, closing in and I'm Catostrophic, not again I'm smeared across the page, and doused in gasoline I wear you like a stain, yet I'm the one who's obscene Catch me upon all your sordid little insurrections, I've got no time to lose, and I'm just caught up in all the cattle
Fray the stings Throw the sheathes Hold your breath And listen!
I am a world before I am a man I was a creature before I could stand I will remember before I forget BEFORE I FORGET THAT!
I'm ripped across the ditch, and settled in the dirt and I'm Wiggled like a stitch, yet I'm the one who's hurt Pay attention to your twisted little indiscrestions I've got no right to way, I'm just caught up all the battles
Locked in flesh Pushed in place Hold your breath And listen!
I am a world before I am a man I was a creature before I could stand I will remember before I forget BEFORE I FORGET THAT!
I am a world before I am a man I was a creature before I could stand I will remember before I forget BEFORE I FORGET THAT!
My end It justifies my means All I have to do is delay I'm given time to evade The end of the road is my end It justifies my means All I have to do is delay I'm haven't time to evade THE END OF THE ROAD!
I am a world before I am a man I was a creature before I could stand I will remember before I forget BEFORE I FORGET THAT!
I am a world before I am a man I was a creature before I could stand I will remember before I forget BEFORE I FORGET THAT!
I am a world before I am a man I was a creature before I could stand I will remember before I forget BEFORE I FORGET THAT!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, OH!"

Faye and her father pulled up at the packed concert hall and parked their bikes, music was already pounding out through the front door. After locking their bikes she pulled the tickets out of her leather jacket and handed one to her dad. "Come on Pops, I'll show you how to rock" She grinned and they headed in, once inside they went straight to the bar and ordered a couple of beers then made their way to the stage. Faye shouted over to her dad "Hey later, you and me oughta have a lil bit of a drinking contest." She winked and he nodded back "Perhaps!" They pushed their way through the crowd and found an empty high top and took a seat. Faye looked up at the band and noticed that the lead singer was the fellow that Eden had been racing earlier and couldn't help but scowl. Ugh, keep running into the joker she thought and downed the rest of her beer then stopped a waitress and ordered 3 rounds of shots for her and her dad. They enjoyed spending time at bars and doing things that Faye's mother didn't want either of them to do, so what better time then when she was away to do the fun things?

The song came to an end, and everyone cheered. "Remember what I said?" said Scott with a smile. "Jump the ******** up!" said Scott, followed by the large clutter of a whole mosh pit jumping up symultaneously. "Alright, thats the kinda stuff I want to see. Now, lets say we take things down a notch, and play a ballad. This is a song by my favorite singer. Chris Cornell. Alright, here comes a song by the famouse metal band, Soundgarden. This song is called, Burden In My Hands." said Scott as he whistled, telling his band to take up the instrumental.
"Follow me into the desert As thirsty as you are Crack a smile and cut your mouth And drown in alcohol ‘Cause down below the truth is lying Beneath the riverbed So quench yourself and drink the water That flows below her head
Oh no there she goes Out in the sunshine the sun is mine the sun is mine
(chorus) I shot my love today would you cry for me I lost my head again would you lie for me
Close your eyes and bow your head I need a little sympathy ‘Cause fear is strong and love’s for everyone Who isn’t me So kill your health and kill yourself And kill everything you love And if you live you can fall to pieces And suffer with my ghost
(chorus) I shot my love today would you cry for me I lost my head again would you lie for me I left her in the sand just a burden in my hand I lost my head again would you cry for me
Just a burden in my hand Just an anchor on my heart Just a tumor in my head And I’m in the dark
So follow me into the desert As desperate as you are Where the moon is glued to a picture of heaven And all the little pigs have God
Oh no there she goes Out in the sunshine the sun is mine the sun is mine
(chorus) I shot my love today would you cry for me I lost my head again would you lie for me I left her in the sand just a burden in my hand I lost my head again would you cry for me yeah, would you cry for me"

By the end f the second song, Faye and her father had finished their drinks and Faye had left her jacket with her dad at the table and gone out onto the dancefloor. She pulled a glowstick from her pocket snapped it and started to wave it about dacing with all types of characters, doing a bit of moshing and beginning to enjoy herself, forgetting who was singing. Her father sat at the table and ordered a few more rounds then sent a text to the shop about being picked up later. He smiled watching his daughter have a good time.

Scott finished up the last song, turning to the crowed and recognizing a face in the audience. "Well, I have to say that this has been one of my favorite gigs. Thats why I'm going to give you guys a treat." said Scott as he began to play the bridge to enter sandman. "You'll know this song, and I'm hoping some of you metal geezers enjoy this." said Scott as the song began and he entered with a low hum.
"Say your prayers, little one Don't forget, my son, To include everyone
Tuck you in, warm within Keep you free from sin Till the sandman he comes
Sleep with one eye open Gripping your pillow tight
Exit: light Enter: night Take my hand We're off to never-never land
Something's wrong, shut the light Heavy thoughts tonight And they aren't of Snow White
Dreams of war, dreams of liars Dreams of dragon's fire And of things that will bite
Sleep with one eye open Gripping your pillow tight
Exit: light Enter: night Take my hand We're off to never-never land
Now I lay me down to sleep Pray the Lord my soul to keep If I die before I wake Pray the Lord my soul to take
Hush little baby, don't say a word And never mind that noise you heard It's just the beasts under your bed In your closet, in your head
Exit: light Enter: night Grain of sand
Exit: light Enter: night Take my hand We're off to never-never land "

"YEAH!" Faye screamed as he started to play one of her favorite songs, even her dad approved of the cover. Faye sang along with it pumping up and down in time with the music and waving her neon glowstick. She hadn't noticed that Scott had seen her. At the end of that song she made her way through the groping crowd to her father and took her seat. She was smiling from ear to ear, dripping sweat and still bouncing to the music.

Scott held a hand in the air, placing his guitar down. "Thank you, and I'm afraid that is all the time I have for you folks." said Scott bowing. "I'll be playing here next weekend, and hope to have this good of a turn out next time." said Scott as hopped down from the stage, trying to reach the bar, but getting mauled by a group of people.

"THEY WERE PRETTY GOOD!" Her father yelled over the music. "YEAH THEY WERE" Faye laughed ordering a glass of water. As soon as the waitress brought it over, she started gulping it down and immediately ordered another. "FAYE, I THINK THE MAIN GUY RECOGNIZED YOU, I SAW HIM LOOKING IN YOUR DIRECTION." Her dad said. "YEAH HE LOOKS FAMILIAR, I'VE BUMPED INTO HIM ONCE OR TWICE, HE'S A SCAVER, BUT I DONT REALLY KNOW HIM" she shrugged, there was a few members from every group here tonight and being as the city was full of bikers from all types of groups, then she wasn't suprised to run into them. Her father seemed a bit more shocked and she figured that he hadn't realized how big all the gangs had gotten and widespread the circuit had become.

Scott had finally broken loose from the crowd and was brushing himself off. He looked around, seeing that girl named Faye that he had met. He walked over, feeling that if the Scavers were going to get business from the other gangs for parts, he may aswell start by making aquaintences with some of the other gang members. He stopped near her, giving a friendly wave. "Hey, last place I thought I'd see a class one gang member!" yelled Scott over the blaring of the next band.
