Athletic, hardworking and intelligent but tends to burn the midnight oil during finals. John is obsessed with Quidditch - He is usually in the Quidditch field practicing alone or with some members of his house's team. At home, the walls of his bedroom are full of quidditch posters and banners of the Puddlemere United - His favorite team. He does well in all classes except divination which he calls "a load of hokey pokey!!". His ambition is to become the Seeker for Puddlemere United or another professional quidditch team upon graduating from Hogwarts.

He likes studying magics history and secret forms if possible hoping to grow more powerful than any other wizard even the dark lord. What he would do if he became that powerful he does not know just that he wants it, to get this power and knowledge he does not bully or threaten simply studies and gains the respect of his teachers so he can get knowledge the average student would not. Looks to one day be a DADA teacher or continue his study and practice of ancient and powerful magic. His family consider him the black sheep of the family because all the males in the family for the las six or seven generations have been in Gryffindor and James brock the legacy. He has a special journal actually two of them one already full and the other halfway there, they both contain notes of study on immortality and how one might achieve this. Of course he has had limited resources to books and other documents so his notes are mostly hypothesis. The second book so far is about the creation process of a philosiphers stone which is probably the hardest type of information he has had to look for since he has been writing on it for three years and only has half the journal filled.
